Abstract

Indonesian consists of various different people, tribes, languages which is enrich byculture. As part of Indonesian, Makassar society is very proud of their languages, arts,and the culture. It can be reflected that Makassar language are still be spoken by itspeople. Makassar language is part of Indonesian that have value sublimes for itssociety. Value sublimes can be found on pappasang. Pappasang is wise words fromMakassar ancestors that contains about the rules in life, live hoods, also the rule inrelationships with with the God. Through the application of pappasang, it is expectedto form the characters and also give benefits to the society, especially to Makassar society and Indonesian in general. Besides, pappasang values can be as direction totransform the society to be better. By deep understanding about pappasang, it will makeIndonesian as opened mind country with the current globalization which is can keep ofthe ethics and morality among human so that humanity aspect and modernity will noterase the local wisdom that have already become an important fundamental of nation inestablishing the characters. The aim of this paper to describe pappasang values asmedia to develop nation characters with local wisdom. The method is descriptive byanalyzing the context of pappasang values. In pappasang, the researcher found variousvalues such as honesty, spiritual, leadership, abashment, and unity values. The values inpappasang is very high because there are pearls that adore by Makassar society.Therefore, the understanding of pappasang values are needed for Indonesian live in thepresent.

Abstract

Abstract: Argumentation is closely related to a person's mindset to achieve communication goals. The focus of this research is the argumentation component, the argumentation model, and the argumentation writing style. The data of this research are in the form of words, sentences, and paragraphs from the students' speech texts of undergraduate students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Universitas Negeri Malang. Undergraduate students who are used as data sources are students for the 2019/2020 academic year. The results showed that the arguments in the speech texts of Indonesian Language and Literature Education students at the Universitas Negeri Malang contained various components, models, and styles of argumentative writing. These three things have been constructed by students in the speech text. These components, models, and writing styles have a concrete form and their respective functions in strengthening the arguments put forward in the speech texts.Abstrak: Argumentasi berkaitan erat dengan pola pikir seseorang untuk mencapai tujuan komunikasi. Adapun fokus penelitian ini, yaitu komponen argumentasi, model argumentasi, dan gaya penulisan argumentasi. Data penelitian ini berupa kata, kalimat, dan paragraf dari teks pidato mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Negeri Malang. Mahasiswa S1 yang dijadikan sumber data merupakan mahasiswa tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa argumentasi dalam teks pidato mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Negeri Malang memuat komponen, model, dan gaya penulisan argumentasi yang bervariasi. Ketiga hal tersebut telah dikonstruksikan oleh mahasiswa dalam teks pidato. Komponen, model, dan gaya penulisan tersebut memiliki bentuk konkret dan fungsi masing-masing dalam memperkuat argumentasi yang dikemukakan dalam teks pidato.

Abstract

Character education management plays a pivotal role in fostering ethical, responsible, and well-rounded individuals within the school environment. This study employs bibliometric analysis, with a focus on VOSviewer visualization, to examine the scholarly landscape of character education management. A diverse set of databases was utilized, and a systematic search strategy was developed to identify relevant articles. The analysis encompasses publication trends, influential authors, citation networks, keyword co-occurrence, and thematic clusters. Key findings include a surge in character education research, prominent journals, prolific authors, and emerging trends such as the integration of character education with social-emotional learning and global citizenship education. Highly cited works offer foundational guidance, while thematic clusters highlight distinct research areas. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of character education management, offering insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers to enhance character development practices in schools.

Abstract

A long with the times, the world of education is also developing. Technology has a very large influence in the world of education. Where technology is an important part of education. With the existence of technology, changes in the world of education are getting better day by day. This educational progress cannot be separated from the role of technology in increasing learning innovation in the education system. For this reason, technology is used as a means to create learning innovations in the current education transformation. The purpose of this research was to find out the use of technology in distance and open learning: educational transformation. The method used in this research is a quantitative research method with a research design in the form of a survey. The data in this study were obtained by filling out a questionnaire on the Google form link. The results of this study are that the Use of Technology in Distance and Open Learning: Educational Transformation, provides unique and interesting learning through the use of various technologies in the learning process. The conclusion from this study is that the use of technology in distance and open learning is very influential and suitable to be used to support distance and open learning as a change in the world of education or educational transformation, because students can learn anywhere and anytime even from home and the educational process is also supported. by the technology used. This research is also an answer from people who experience many obstacles in the educational process related to the time and place of education implementation. The limitation in this research is that researchers only conduct research at the school level. The researcher also hopes that further researchers will expand research to a higher level and the researcher also hopes that in the future other researchers will emerge who can develop this research and focus on one part of technology.

Abstract

In order to track the contribution of local wisdom to sustainable cultural heritage preservation, this study uses a bibliometric approach. A vast range of literature is covered by the analysis, including foundational works on political ecology, institutional ecology, ecological footprint, sustainable rural lifestyles, and systems thinking. Through the identification of clusters within the literature, the study reveals important topics including the preservation of biodiversity, sustainable tourism, and the incorporation of indigenous knowledge. The Brundtland Report and "Braiding Sweetgrass," among other notable publications, are recognized for having shaped the conversation on sustainability and the fusion of traditional knowledge with scientific understanding. A keyword analysis also indicates the prominence of terms like "Impact," "Local Wisdom," and "Tourism," indicating their importance in the industry. The results present a thorough summary of the field and are a useful resource for academics, decision-makers, and practitioners involved in the sustainable protection of cultural assets.

Abstract

The development of technology that is increasingly sophisticated and facilitates human work in all fields, is put to good use by people who understand the huge positive impact it has. The use of adaptive E-Learning content to enhance learning will have a major impact on Education. The adaptive E-Learning system was developed on the assumption that individual learning models are able to provide better results than other learning models. Therefore, the learning process in today's era can no longer be done traditionally, it must be able to adapt to the times. Educators must be able to balance it with methods that suit the needs of students. So that they can develop their potential and be able to have high self-esteem. As well as being able to be competitive and compete with many people of their age for creative content. The data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires. The questionnaire was made using the Google form with 15 statements about the effectiveness of E-Learning in learning. The results of this study explain that it is proven that the development of E-Learning content that is maximally adaptive according to existing procedures, can increase the effectiveness of learning by educators for students. This will realize that learning can be achieved in accordance with what has been set. The method used in this study is a quantitative method by collecting population and samples. The conclusion from this study is that the development of adaptive E-Learning content is proven to be implemented properly and efficiently to increase the effectiveness of learning in the classroom. The limitation of this research is that researchers only conduct this research at the elementary school level, which incidentally requires the use of adaptive E-Learning technology in the learning process, which is of course very beneficial for educators and students to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Abstrak. Argumentasi menjadi sesuatu hal yang sangat penting dalam penyajian secara lisan maupun tulis. Di dalam teks ceramah buya HAMKA mengandung komponen argumentasi yang saling berkaitan erat untuk membentuk konstruksi berpikir dan penyampaian yang bernas. Adapun fokus penelitian ini, yaitu menelaah komponen argumentasi dalam teks ceramah buya HAMKA. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen argumentasi buya HAMKA memiliki bentuk konkret dan fungsi masing-masing pada setiap penyampaian ceramah. Komponen argumentasi dalam teks ceramah buya HAMKA terdiri atas enam komponen, yaitu pernyataan posisi (claim), fakta (data), jaminan (warrant), pendukung (backing), kualifikasi modal (modal qualifier), dan bantahan (rebuttal). Pada komponen claim, terdapat pernyataan posisi yang menyajikan hal-hal yang kontroversi, dalam sebuah data berisi pemaparan laporan faktual untuk mempertahankan posisi, komponen warrant memuat suatu pernyataan untuk mempertahankan posisi, komponen backing diungkapkan pengalaman-pengalaman bagi pembenaran asumsi, komponen modal qualifier mempunyai fungsi untuk menunjukkan derajat kepastian atau kualitas suatu pernyataan, dan komponen rebuttal berisi paparan sanggahan atau pengecualian.  Kata Kunci: argumentasi, teks ceramah, komponen argumentasi

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, technology is something that is indispensable and even used every day, both in long-distance activities, education, work, socialization, and even entertainment such as playing online games, not even a few children who see negative video channels on social media. So the fact is that currently social media does have a big influence on a person's life, both negative and positive impacts. One of them is for children aged 6-12 years. At school, children also prefer to play social media rather than interact and play with children their age. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of social media on the learning process of children aged 6-12 years. This research uses quantitative methods, data used through online interviews and distributing questionnaires through the use of google froom. The results of this study explain that social media is very influential on children's learning both at school and children's learning at home. So that children's time in learning becomes less effective because they are too busy playing social media, due to lack of supervision from parents. The conclusion from the results of this study explains that the impact of social media on the learning process of children aged 6-12 years is very influential on the child's learning process. The limitation of this study is that researchers only conducted research in one school in the Batanng anai sub-district of West Sumatra province. Researchers hope that this research process can be useful for readers and other parties. this study also recommends that other studies make references related to the impact of social media on the learning process of children 6-12 years.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill that underpins academic success and lifelong learning. The SQ3R method, a structured approach that encompasses Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review, has long been recognized as a valuable tool for improving reading comprehension. This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the SQ3R method in enhancing students' reading comprehension abilities. Pre- and post-assessments of reading comprehension were conducted, and the results were analyzed to assess the impact of the SQ3R method. In addition to quantitative data, qualitative feedback from students was gathered to gain insights into their perceptions of the method. The study revealed a significant increase in reading comprehension scores among students who were exposed to the SQ3R method. The frequency of method usage was positively correlated with improved comprehension outcomes. Longitudinal data showed that the improvements were sustained over time, indicating the method's long-term impact. Students' qualitative feedback echoed the positive quantitative results, underlining increased engagement, a better understanding of complex texts, and improved critical thinking skills. The research findings have significant implications for educators, policymakers, and researchers. Educators are encouraged to incorporate the SQ3R method into teaching practices, promote consistent method usage, and monitor long-term progress. Policymakers are urged to support professional development for educators and ensure access to appropriate educational materials. Future researchers should explore diverse student populations, compare the SQ3R method with alternative strategies, and investigate its adaptability in online learning environments. The SQ3R method has proven to be not only effective but also a powerful asset in education. It equips students with skills and strategies that are essential for understanding and retaining textual content effectively, fostering not only academic success but also a lifelong love for learning.

Abstract

This investigation aims to analyze the role of character education in fostering students' ethics and morality within the digital era.Utilizing a qualitative approach, this study explores the experiences of educators, students, and parents in implementing character education within formal educational environments.Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis.The findings indicate that character education exerts a substantial influence in enhancing students' ethical awareness and moral reasoning, particularly in navigating ethical challenges stemming from digital technology exposure. Nevertheless, the study also uncovers significant barriers to this goal, including the lack of value-based technology support and time constraints. The study's findings suggest that a collaborative effort among schools, families, and communities is essential to maximize the impact of character education in the digital era.
