Abstract

This research explores a community movement in Tangkahan Ecovillage, Indonesia, driven by a desire to safeguard their local ecology with dignity at the forefront. The study delves into the mechanisms and outcomes of this shift in approach through a case study, offering insights into community-driven efforts for sustainable forestry practices. It underscores the significance of grassroots movements in advocating for environmental conservation while prioritizing the well-being and respect of local residents. The movement seeks to transform people's perceptions by replacing destructive illegal logging with sustainable eco-logging methods. Through a case study methodology, the research investigates the motivations, strategies, and challenges faced by the community in this transformative process. By examining how the movement empowers the community and instills a sense of ownership over natural resources, the concept of dignity emerges as a central theme. The analysis of Tangkahan's journey in this study aims to provide a replicable model for transitioning from illegal-logging to eco-logging, promoting environmental sustainability and community welfare.

The Indonesian language plays a strategic role as a national identity and an effective communication tool capable of reaching various segments of society. In the digital era, social media serves as a primary platform for disseminating information and promoting institutions, including higher education institutions. As a competitive institution, STIE Ganesha requires an effective Indonesian-language-based marketing strategy to attract prospective students, maintain a positive institutional image, and enhance its competitiveness amidst intense digital competition. This research is crucial as the mastery and application of the Indonesian language within a digital context significantly influence communication success, especially in reaching a diverse audience. Language misuse can lead to misunderstandings, reduce credibility, and weaken the impact of marketing messages. This study aims to analyze the patterns of Indonesian language use in STIE Ganesha's social media content, identify the strengths and weaknesses in delivering marketing messages, and propose language use strategies that are both grammatically correct and suitable for social media audiences. The expected outcomes include: (1) scientific publication in a SINTA 4-accredited journal, namely the Indonesian Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (IJOMR), Volume 5 Number 1, March 2025; (2) a practical guide for STIE Ganesha's marketing team in optimizing digital communication; and (3) enhancement of institutional image through more professional and engaging social media content.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly transformed the political landscape, particularly with the rise of social media as the primary platform for political interaction among the millennial generation. As a generation that grew up in the digital era, millennials tend to be more active in accessing, sharing, and discussing political issues through social media compared to conventional methods. This study aims to analyze how social media shapes millennials’ political perceptions and engagement while highlighting challenges such as the spread of hoaxes, opinion polarization, and low digital literacy. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research examines the patterns of political information consumption on social media and its impact on millennial political participation. The findings indicate that social media serves as a key tool in raising political awareness and mobilizing political support, but it also acts as a channel for misinformation, potentially influencing public political perceptions. Therefore, enhancing digital literacy is essential to ensure that millennials’ political participation is based on accurate and credible information. By understanding this digital political dynamic, this study is expected to provide insights for policymakers in designing more effective and inclusive political communication strategies for the millennial generation.

Abstract

This study uses Roland Barthes' semiotic technique to examine the social values and moral messages in the public service announcement "Preventing Stunting is Important." The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, gathering information via key informant interviews, a review of pertinent literature, and direct observation of the commercial. Barthes' three layers of meaning—myth (ideological meaning), connotation (implied meaning), and denotation (literal meaning)—are used to analyze data. The results show that the commercial promotes moral values on the duties of parents, particularly mothers, in providing exclusive breastfeeding, maintaining hygiene, making sure pregnant women eat healthily, and seeking medical attention on a regular basis. It also emphasizes social ideals including community involvement, family collaboration, and fair access to health education. Through emotionally compelling and educational imagery, the commercial successfully raises public awareness of the risks of stunting and how to prevent it. These results suggest that visual media, especially public service announcements, have a great deal of potential for influencing public opinion and successfully conveying social messages. As a result, the semiotic technique is useful for revealing the underlying meanings concealed in mainstream media visual representations.

Abstract

This research examines the challenges in implementing e-government services in Bulo Village, which uses the SIBERAS application to improve accessibility and transparency of public services. Although this application is designed to facilitate community access to services, there are various obstacles to its acceptance and utilization. The main objective of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the acceptance of SIBERAS services using the UMEGA model. The approach used in this research is quantitative, with data collection through questionnaires distributed to 112 active users of SIBERAS. The data collected was then analyzed using SPSS software. The results showed that performance expectations, effort expectations, and social influence have a significant positive relationship with user attitudes toward SIBERAS services. In addition, facilitating conditions and user attitudes affect the intention to continue using this service. This study indicates that technology acceptance in rural areas is influenced more by perceived benefits and ease of use than by risk or infrastructure readiness concerns. Therefore, practical factors such as ease of access and direct benefits from using the application have a greater influence in driving technology adoption than other risk or facility readiness issues

Abstract

In an era of increasingly tight competition, Permata Eye Clinic is required to provide quality medical services and service satisfaction. Unsatisfactory service can have a good impact on patient trust and loyalty, as well as affect the overall image of the clinic. The purpose of the study was to improve the quality of service and improve the performance of Permata Eye Clinic to increase patient satisfaction. The study was conducted using a questionnaire distributed to 45 respondent patients where 15 questions were used. Furthermore, data processing was carried out using the Service Quality (Servqual) method and the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method to determine the gap value between expectations and performance and improvements in attributes used to improve the quality of health services. The results of the study showed the average value of Servqual and the average Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), physical appearance (tangible) of 2.78 and 3.83 gap score -1.05, reliability of 2.81 and 4.00 gap score -1.19, responsiveness of 2.78 and 3.90 gap score -1.12, empathy of 2.78 and 4.03 gap score -1.25, assurance of 2.76 and 4.11 gap score -1.36. The conclusion of the calculation of the gap both per attribute and the average per dimension of SERVQUAL and the average Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) shows that all gaps are negative, which indicates that the reality received is still not by customer expectations.
