Abstract

Jalan Nyomplong is a one-lane and two-lane road with a length of 400m. The cause of the congestion that occurs along Jalan Nyomp;long is the very high activity of residents and the condition of the road sections which are relatively small. In this study, data collection was obtained by conducting a survey for 1 day at 2 different location points around Jalan Nyomplong such as a survey of traffic volume, traffic speed, traffic density, and road segment capacity. In addition, supporting data is obtained from agencies and from social media. From the results of the study, it was found that the volume of vehicles recorded in the afternoon was the densest, the calculation of vehicle speed for on Jl. Nyomplong is 20 – 30 km/hour, density analysis for Jl. Nyomplong in the afternoon is the busiest at 59 vehicles/Km. Meanwhile, at this location, incoming vehicles are dominated from two directions Nyomplong – Jln Pabuaran or vice versa with a total in the morning (06.00-09:00) 2,032 vehicles/hour, during the day (12.00-15.00) 2,029 vehicles/hour and in the afternoon (16.00 -18.00) 3,040 vehicles/hour. In the analysis of road capacity calculated by the 1997 MKJI method, namely C = Co x FCw x FCsp x FCsf x FCcs (pcu/hour), the results found that the road capacity in the morning was 979 smp/hour, on during the day as many as 977 smp/hour, and in the afternoon as many as 1464 smp/hour.

Abstract

The system is designed as the authorized automatic vehicle identifier with respect to vehicle owner identification, for the security of the highly restricted areas like housing areas, defence military areas, parliament areas etc. Both of the number plate recognition and the vehicle owner recognition use the image identification technology. The image of the vehicle plate number and the vehicle owner are captured by using a camera and processed with MATLAB. The system contains an embedded section which controls the opening of the security gate and the communication purpose. The user interface provided at the entry/exit gate gives visual assistance to the driver, whether he/she is not permitted at this area or permitted. The entry of the unauthorized vehicle is restricted and the message is sent to the actual vehicle owner which is preregistered in the systems‟ database. The technology adopted in this research can be utilized not only for the security but also in other fields such as parking fee collection, automatic speed control, tracking stolen cars, automatic toll management and access control to limited areas, etc.

Abstract

The dam is a construction of water structures built across the river. The function of the dam is to hold and store water, both rain water, river water and water from the lake which will then form a reservoir. Kadumalik Dam is one of the projects of the Directorate General of Water Resources (SDA) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) which will be built in 2020 on an area of 500 Ha. The purpose of building Kadumalik Dam is to meet the irrigation needs of the Irrigation Area (D.I) and meet diverse water needs, but the dam can also pose a great risk as well, namely the risk of accumulation of sedimentation. Sedimentation is one of the factors that is very influential in dam management. A large sedimentation rate will speed up the service life of the reservoir so that the planned reservoir function can be disrupted. Therefore this research is important to know how much the dam capacity and how old the dam service. This study uses analytical calculation methods for sediment transport based on observations and calculation methods with efforts to handle sedimentation. Based on the results of the analysis, the sedimentation rate in the Kadumalik Reservoir is 2.71 tons / ha / year and is classified as an erosion hazard class I or very light erosion rate, calculation of the method with sedimentation handling measures results in the analysis of the Sediment Control Building (BPS) can control 2.2 million m3 of sediment, so that it can extend the reservoir service life to 50 years.

Abstract

The number and growth of vehicles is a separate problem related to the problem of sustainable transportation. In 2019, the number of motorized vehicles in Indonesia was recorded at more than 448 vehicles per 1,000 people. And specifically for motorcycles, it reaches 365 vehicles per 1,000 people. The growth of motor vehicles is significantly influenced by economic growth as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product. When compared with the growth of motorized vehicles, it can be concluded temporarily that the high growth rate of motorized vehicles at the end of this decade has an impact on traffic problems on the highway. To see the trend between economic growth represented by regional gross domestic product and motorcycle growth, a model is needed to be useful for policymakers who handle the road in making decisions. The results showed that the growth model of motorcycles in Sukabumi can be approached with a linear regression equation. With the sample from the Cibadak sub-district, the area is classified as a low-income area.

Abstract

One of the methods used to control the stability of the soil so as not to experience a landslide is to build a retaining wall. In carrying out the work, of course, it is necessary to pay attention to occupational safety and health for all those involved in a project, including the community around the project, therefore, it is important to calculate costs before starting work, so that the project can be carried out properly according to regulations, objectives, functions, benefits, impacts, costs, quality, time, and K3 or occupational safety and health. This study aims to determine the cost of retaining a cliff wall using the main material of mountain stone/split stone, including labor costs, materials, tools, and occupational safety and health (K3) costs. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. To complete this research, we need data on the budget plan for the construction project for the construction of retaining walls, and factual costs at the project site. The data sources consist of project documents, contract documents, and direct observations on site. This research has identified the cost of materials, tools, labor, and K3 in units converted to cost/m3, and produced a coefficient of unit price analysis for retaining wall work. The results of this study can contribute to estimating the cost of retaining wall work using mountain/split stone specifications at an early stage during planning, using unit costs/m3 of work, both by planners, contractors and the general public.
