Abstract

This study aims to predict the number of scout enthusiasts in Binjai City using a linear regression method. The data used includes the number of active scout members from the Alert, Fundraiser, and Enforcer levels during the 2018-2024 school year. The linear regression method was chosen because of its ability to predict future trends based on historical data. This research implements a linear regression algorithm through the Python programming language for the development of prediction systems. The problem in this study is that scout education in Binjai City has many impacts that can affect the number of scout enthusiasts in an educational institution. Some of the factors that can affect the quality of the teacher can be a determining factor in the interest in participating in scouting. With the existence of qualified scout teaching staff and creativity, students will be more in demand to participate in scouting.and the achievement of providing facilities provided from the School Level to the Branch Committee can also be a factor in attracting interest in participating in scouting and the support of school principals and the surrounding government can also be a determining factor in the development of scouting in the region so that activities from the school level to the international level are carried out which will be more in demand by scouting students. This finding is expected to help the Branch of the Binjai City Scout Movement in preparing and optimizing the number of scouting students in the future. Abstract

Technological advances have given rise to the need for data protection, especially digital images, which are vulnerable to misuse. This research proposes a super encryption method that combines two cryptographic algorithms, namely Rabin Cryptosystem and Paillier Cryptosystem, to increase digital image security. Rabin's algorithm does not have homomorphism, so it is vulnerable to factorization attacks if the prime numbers used are too small. Meanwhile, the Paillier algorithm has homomorphism properties which allow arithmetic operations to be carried out directly on the ciphertext without decryption. By combining these two algorithms, this research aims to create a stronger and more efficient encryption method, and analyze its performance in terms of computational efficiency and complexity. It is hoped that the research results can improve the security and privacy of digital data, especially in the context of digital images.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of cryptography and steganography techniques to improve the security of text messages using the Rivest Code 4 (RC4) algorithm and the Most Significant Bit (MSB) method. In the ever-growing digital era, data security is a top priority due to the increasing threat of cybercrime that can harm many parties. RC4 is a cryptography algorithm known for its encryption and decryption speed, while the MSB method is an effective steganography technique for hiding information in digital images. This study aims to develop an application that is able to encrypt text messages with the RC4 algorithm and hide them in digital images using the MSB method. With this combination, data is not only encrypted but also hidden, thus providing two layers of security to protect information from unauthorized access. The results of the study show that the combination of RC4 cryptography and MSB steganography techniques successfully improves data security well. The developed application is able to protect sensitive information from the risk of data theft and cyber attacks. In addition, this technique is also easy to implement and can be applied in various sectors, such as banking, health, and business communications, to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access. Keywords: Cryptography, Steganography, Most Significant Bit (MSB)
