Abstract

Abstract

Hypertension, a silent killer, remains a major challenge in Indonesia, with many cases still found in primary healthcare facilities. Hypertension patients require long-term therapy, and adherence is a crucial factor in determining the success of therapy. Hypertension is a chronic disease that requires patient adherence to medication. Patient adherence is influenced by various factors, including patient knowledge, family support, and access to health information. According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health (2023), 55.86% of hypertensive patients on the island of Java are non-compliant or do not regularly take their medication. Many factors influence medication adherence, such as knowledge level, age, gender, employment status, and duration of illness. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of patient knowledge, family support, and access to health information on adherence among hypertensive patients at Pasar Rebo District Community Health Center, Jakarta. The success of hypertension therapy is greatly influenced by patient compliance in taking antihypertensive medication as recommended by healthcare professionals. Low compliance can lead to uncontrolled blood pressure and increase the risk of complications such as stroke, heart disease, and kidney failure. This study is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross-sectional method and used a questionnaire for data collection. The compliance level questionnaire used the MMAS-8. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge, family support, and access to health information with compliance of hypertension patients at Pasar Rebo District Community Health Center, Jakarta. The study sample was hypertension patients selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test and logistic regression to determine the relationship between variables. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge, family support, and access to health information with adherence in hypertensive patients (p < 0.05). The most dominant variable influencing adherence was family support. The inclusion criteria of the study included outpatient hypertensive patients aged ≤ 65 years and currently receiving antihypertensive therapy. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test and logistic regression to determine the relationship between variables. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge, family support, and access to health information with adherence in hypertensive patients (p < 0.05). The most dominant variable influencing adherence was family support. The results showed that 70 respondents met the criteria that could be used as research data. The results of the study based on age with a high level of compliance at the age of 18-40 years with 16 respondents (22.9%), while at the age of 41-60 years 8 respondents (11.4%), low at the age of> 60 years as many as 12 respondents (17.19%) and the results of P value = 0.044 <α = 0.05 are declared valid; Based on gender with patient compliance taking medication, high in men 21 respondents (30%), low in women (14.3%) P value = 0.041 <α = 0.005 is declared valid; The relationship between education with a high level of compliance taking medication is found in high school education with 11 respondents (15.7%) and low in college education (4.3%) and P value = 0.20 <α = 0.5 is declared valid; The relationship between work and compliance taking medication is high at the level of work as self-employed 15 respondents (21.4%). Meanwhile, for those who did not work with 9 respondents (12.9%), and low in civil servants with 5 respondents (7.1%), P value = 0.035 < α = 0.05 was declared valid, the relationship between the level of knowledge and compliance was said to be good for 20 respondents (26.6%), sufficient for 9 respondents (12.9%) and less for 2 respondents (31.4%) P value = 0.00 <0.05 was declared valid.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of motivation on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable in the production department of PT. Nok Precision Component Batam. This research uses a quantitative approach with a causal explanatory design. The research population was all production employees, totaling 150 people. The sampling was conducted using a simple random sampling technique with a sample size of 54 respondents. Primary data collection was carried out through the distribution of Likert-scale questionnaires (1-5). The collected data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method through SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of hypothesis testing prove that: (1) Motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction; (2) Motivation has no significant direct effect on employee performance; (3) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; and (4) Job satisfaction fully mediates the effect of motivation on employee performance. These findings conclude that providing motivation from the company does not automatically improve technical performance on the production floor if the motivation fails to create a sense of satisfaction within the employees first.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-compassion on quarter life crisis in emerging adulthood who experience fatherlessness in Jabodetabek. Self-compassion is an attitude of loving oneself which consists of the dimensions of self-kindness vs. self-judgment, common humanity vs. isolation, mindfulness vs. overidentification, which are protective factors when experiencing quarter life crisis. A total of 238 emerging adults experiencing fatherlessness in Jabodetabek were selected using purposive sampling. This quantitative study used the quarter-life crisis scale adapted by Zuhriyah (2021) from the theory of Robbin and Willner. The self-compassion scale was translated by Sugianto et al. (2020) based on Neff's theory. Simple linear regression analysis was used. The results of the study indicate that self-compassion does not significantly affect the quarter-life crisis in emerging adults experiencing fatherlessness in Jabodetabek (r = 0.468). Higher self-compassion actually increases the quarter-life crisis.

Abstract

Bureaucratic reform positions the management of civil servant human resources (ASN) as a strategic instrument in achieving a professional, effective, and performance-oriented bureaucracy. This study aims to evaluate policies on ASN human resource management in supporting bureaucratic reform at the Regional Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Mahakam Ulu Regency. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-evaluative design. Research subjects were selected purposively, including leaders and personnel involved in staffing management. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis, such as regulations, personnel documents, Employee Performance Targets (SKP), and bureaucratic reform reports. Data analysis used William N. Dunn’s policy evaluation framework, which includes effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and appropriateness. The results indicate that policies have been implemented in accordance with regulations and have maintained administrative functions. However, they have not been fully effective in improving individual and organizational performance. Implementation remains procedurally oriented, while competency development has not been fully based on organizational needs. These findings highlight that policy success should be measured by its impact on performance and the achievement of bureaucratic reform goals.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of service quality and taxpayer motivation on motor vehicle taxpayer compliance, with tax socialization as a moderating variable. The research aims to identify whether service quality and taxpayer motivation significantly influence compliance, and whether tax socialization strengthens these relationships. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 100 respondents who are motor vehicle taxpayers in Padang City. Data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with SPSS software. The results show that both service quality and taxpayer motivation significantly affect taxpayer compliance. Furthermore, tax socialization moderates the relationship between service quality and compliance but does not significantly moderate the relationship between motivation and compliance. These findings highlight the critical role of effective service delivery and targeted socialization programs in improving taxpayer compliance

Abstract

Currently, organizations recognize the increasing importance of human resources as the primary asset for sustaining the organization. Organizational Citizenship Behavior, which refers to voluntary employee behaviors that exceed their duties, such as helping colleagues, has become the focus of research because it can enhance organizational productivity. On the other hand, Quality of Work Life encompasses aspects such as job satisfaction, balance between personal and professional life, safe working conditions, and opportunities for self-development, all of which contribute to employee well-being. This study aims to examine the relationship between quality of work life and Organizational Citizenship Behavior among employees of Disnaker Demak. The method used is quantitative research with 50 participants, utilizing the Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale and Quality of Work Life Scale (QWOL), then analyzed using SPSS version 25, resulting in a significant relationship between the variables Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Quality of Work Life with an r value of 0.696 and p < 0.05. The research results indicate a significant positive relationship between the variables Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Quality of Work Life; the higher the level of OCB among employees, the higher their QWL, and conversely, the lower the level of OCB, the lower the QWL
