Abstract

Support is encouragement in the form of comfort, care, appreciation, or assistance available to an individual from another person or group. Support can be obtained from a number of important people such as husband, children, parents, siblings or relatives and close friends. Husband's support has dimensions, namely instrumental support, emotional support, appreciation support, and information support. Postpartum mothers are at risk for changes in mood or mood disorders, namely postpartum blues. Among the factors that cause postpartum blues is lack of husband's support. Objective: To determine the relationship between husband's support and the occurrence of postpartum in mothers. Method: This research uses quantitative descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The sample size used was 100 postpartum mothers at the RSUD Sibuhuan Hospital and the Permata Madina Hospital using simple random sampling. This research used a husband's support questionnaire and EPDS. Data analysis used the chi-square statistical test with a significant value of p: 0.05 using SPSS 25. Results: The research results showed that p = 0.19, which shows that there is a relationship between husband's support and the occurrence of postpartum blues in mothers. Mothers who do not experience postpartum blues tend to have strong husband support. Conclusion: Further research is needed to find out the main causes of mothers experiencing postpartum blues

Abstract

Caesarean section has a greater impact than normal birth. One of the impacts of a Caesarean operation is a condition that causes discomfort to the patient in the form of pain after a Caesarean operation. Pain is a biological response that occurs in post-operative patients. There are several therapies that can reduce pain to increase comfort after a cesarean section such as lavender aromatherapy. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of lavender aromatherapy on pain after caesarean section at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Sibuhuan. The research method is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. Respondents totaled 29 people. The instruments used were questionnaires and diffuser tubes. The questionnaire contains demographic data as well as a pain assessment instrument. The diffuser tube is filled with 200-250 ml of water and given 2-3 drops of lavender aroma for 15-30 minutes. The results of this study showed that 5 people experienced severe pain, 13 people experienced moderate pain and 11 people experienced mild pain. After being given lavender aromatherapy after caesarean section, it was found that 3 people experienced severe pain, 10 people experienced moderate pain, 14 people experienced mild pain and 2 people had no pain.

Abstract

As for becoming common/ public target from this research is to know " Relation/Link  of Characteristic of  Ms. With Occurence of blood of  at pregnancy of first trimester at  pregnant mother. Desain of this Research use method of research of Correlation that is focus  at  effort to know relation/link  of  among/between  some research variable, to test relation/link  of tersebur  is  perhaps needed  by  hypothesizing and test of relevant statistic  Nursalam, 2007. Sampel  is some of population or proxy of existing population above. If amount of sampel more than 100 hence, sampel can be taken  by  among/between  10-15% or 20-25%. And if sampel less than 100 hence, entirety of  population is  obliged to be made  by  sampel. Because population less than 100, Hence entirety of population  in  making sampel amounting to 30 people. This shares elaborate about Result of Penilitian of  at Haemorrahage  of   at pregnancy of first trimester  at  pregnancy mother, what is  in  obtaining through data collecting by using questioner to 30 people of responder that is mother of pregnancy residing in  region work puskesmas labuhan rasoki of town padangsidimpuan. As for suggestion expected by  for pregnant mother in order to more bayak look for soybean cake of information of  about first kehaamilan trimester. And in expecting for institution of health of mengupanyakan of counselling method.

Abstract

Introduction: breast cancer is the cause of the highest fertility in women and continues to breast cancer has not existed until now. When faced with a couple breakup, it is common to experience disappointment. by using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. Objective: to analyze the influence of lavender flower aromatherapy; humidifier on the anxious scale of pre-mastectomy patients. Method: pre-experimental design with one group pre and post-test without control. Before the treatment, the patient's anxiety level is first controlled, then given inhalation of lavender flowers through a humedifier with 15 drops of lavender oil in 150 ml of water and evaporated for 15 minutes. Then the patient's anxiety level is measured again. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed range test. Result: using Wilcoxon signed range test analysis recorded with p-value 0.001 (<0.05). Conclusion: there is a significant effect of inhalation of lavender flower humidifier to reduce anxiety levels of pre-masctectomy patients. Suggestions, the results of this study can be done where all pre-mastectomy patients, first given inhalation of lavender flower humidifier and should be done research for other types of preoperative surgery.

Abstract

Preceptorship is a specialized area that prepares new recruited nurses and students to integrate previously acquired knowledge with skills and competencies from dependent supervised practice to independent collaborative practice. The study objective is to identify the effect of preceptorship training on new nurses adaptation during orientation. The research method is Pre-Experimental design in one group pretest-posttest without control and 37 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The result showed that pretest scoring of preceptorship training that majority PPA was poor and majorty PS, SC, and CCDTI were fair. While the posttest scoring of preceptorship training was increased significantly as followed: majority PPA was good (70.3%), majorty PS was good (67.6%), majority SC was good (59.5%), and majority CCDTI was good (83.8%) and a meaningful effect with p-value 0.000 (? <0.05). It can be concluded that there was a meaningful effect of Preceptorship Training on New Nurse’s Adaptation During Orientation. Optimal preceptorship will build interpersonal relationships between new and senior nurses, good communication, create a conducive work environment, reduce stress that can reduce the tendency to quit in the middle of the orientation period. It is hoped that further researchers will add variables of turnover intention, burnt out, self-efficacy and work stress.

Abstract

Caring is the essence of nursing as a fundamental of nurse’s career and the heart of nursing practice that it must be implemented by every nurse as a culture. The study objective is to identify the effect of caring training on nurse’s caring behavior in Medical-Surgical Unit at Private Hospital in Medan. The research method is Pre-Experimental design in one group pretest-posttest without control and 38 patients as respondents with random sampling technique. The result showed that pretest scoring before caring training on 20 patients (52.6%) as bad category and followed by 47.4% (18 patients) as quite good category. While the posttest scoring after caring training was increased significantly on 27 patients (71.1%) as good score and 11 patients (28.9%) as quite good score and a meaningful effect with p-value 0.000 (? <0.05). The study can be concluded, that there was a significant effect of caring training on nurse's caring behavior. The better nurse’s caring behavior in providing nursing care, the higher the level of patient satisfaction. It is expected that further researchers will add other variables such as motivation, workload, level of satisfaction, nurse work stress and implement emotional intelligence interventions or look for factors related to nurse’s caring

Abstract

Patient Safety is an absence of preventable harm and reduction of risk unnecessary harm. Patient’s misidentifaction can be avoided through patient safety trainig. The study objective is to identify the effect of patient safety training on patient identification compliance in the Radiology Unit at a Private Hospital in Medan. The research method is Pre-Experimental design in one group pretest-posttest without control and 28 staffs as respondents with total sampling technique. The result showed that pretest Patient Identification Compliance on September was 67.9%, on October and November 2023 was decreased (64.3%) in the Radiology Unit. The Posttest Patient Identification Compliance after training on March 2024 (78.6%), April 2024 (85.7%), and May 2024 (92.9%) in the Radiology Unit. Patient Safety Incidents Based on Not Compliance of Patient Identification before Training on September – November 2023 were 10 findings and after Training on March – May 2024 were significantly reduced to 4 findings. The Wilcoxon test showed p-value 0.011 (? <0.05). The conclussion is that there was a meaningful effect of Patient Safety Training on Patient Identification Compliance. It is recommended for further researchers to add another variables such workload and staff’s competencies.

Abstract

Hypertension is a degenerative disease that cannot be cured but can be prevented from recurring by taking hypertension medication and implementing a healthy lifestyle. This lifelong care process requires family support, especially in improving blood pressure. This study aims to identify the relationship between family support and medication adherence in hypertension patients at the Harapan Hospital Polyclinic, Pematang Siantar. This correlation study uses a cross-sectional approach. The study population was hypertension patients who were treated at the Harapan Hospital Internal Medicine Polyclinic with a purposive sampling technique of 51 respondents. Family support was found with an average score of 32.61, with a standard deviation of 6.226. Meanwhile, medication adherence obtained an average score of 4.53 with a standard deviation of 2.572. Based on the Pearson Product Moment test, a p-value of 0.001 (<? = 0.05) was found with an r value of 0.715, indicating that there is a relationship between family support and medication adherence in hypertension patients with a strong positive relationship. It is expected that hypertension sufferers will diligently control their blood pressure and remain compliant in taking hypertension medication to maintain blood pressure stability so that unwanted things such as complications do not occur.

Abstract

Introduction: Cardiac arrest is a common event that often cannot be predicted and has the potential to lead to rapid death. This condition occurs when the heart's function suddenly stops, caused by the cessation of the heart's electrical activity and accompanied by the cessation of breathing. Thus, the importance of increasing public knowledge in providing prehospital first aid, especially in recognizing the signs of cardiac arrest in adults and having the skills to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, has become an urgent matter. Method: this type of research is quantitative with a pre-experimental design using the one group pre-test-post-test method. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling with a total of 30 respondents. Analyze the data using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results: The findings of this study indicate a significant influence of education on the knowledge level of the PKK woment in Laut Dendang Village regarding cardiac arrest, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. Conclusion: There is an influence of education on the knowledge level of PKK woment about cardiac arrest in Laut Dendang Village. Suggestion: It is hoped that future research will connect the existing knowledge with other factors such as sources of information, social and cultural influences, in order to enhance the quality of the research.

Abstract

Management of pharmaceutical preparations through pharmaceutical services at community health centers includes several activities, namely planning, procurement, receiving, storage, distribution and control. The aim of this research is to find out the mechanism for managing pharmaceutical preparations at the Batunadua Community Health Center. This research uses an observational descriptive method. The population and sample in this study is all drug management data which includes planning, procurement, receipt, storage, distribution and control of the Batunadua Community Health Center in 2023. The place and time of the research was at the Batunadua Community Health Center, Padangsidimpuan City in May-June 2024. The instruments used were observation checklist sheet and interview sheet. The results obtained from this research are the planning stage with 100% results, procurement with 100% results, receipt with 100% results, storage with 80% results, distribution with 100% results and control with 100% results. The conclusion of this research is that the management of pharmaceutical preparations at the Batunadua Community Health Center is in accordance with Minister of Health Regulation no. 74 of 2016.
