Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the influence of problem based learning model assist with interactive simulation to concept comprehension and science generic skill of student. Data analysis used is t-test, by comparing the quarrel of mean from the result of pre-test and post-test. From t-test calculation in concept comprehension and science generic skill, the result is tcount > ttable, it means Ha accepted and Ho failed. In addition, concept comprehension and science generic skill score average in experimental class is higher. So, problem based learning model assist with interactive simulation is better to improve concept comprehension and science generic skill of student.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media berbasis wordpress, melihat tingkat kelayakan dari media pada materi tekanan dan untuk mengetahui media dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop and Dissemination). Media berbasis wordpress dikatakan layak apabila skor rata-rata dari para ahli media pembelajaran pada hasil validasi dan hasil responden siswa adalah 2,56. Skor rata-rata yang diperoleh dari hasil validasi adalah 3,1 dengan kategori valid dan skor rata-rata yang diperoleh dari hasil responden adalah 3,5 dikategorikan sangat setuju pada siswa kelas VIII-c yang berjumlah 18 siswa. Untuk nilai hasil belajar siswa dikatakan tuntas apabila mencapai KKM (kriteria ketuntasan minimal) 75, hasil belajar siswa menggunakan media berbasis wordpress dikatakan tuntas karena nilai rata-rata siswa mencapai 80,8 dan nilai ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 88 %. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media berbasis wordpress yang telah dikembangkan layak dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA khususnya pada materi tekanan.

Abstract

The use of Titanium dioxide (TiO2) semiconductors in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC) devices have been extensively studied and synthesized with various techniques to obtain optimal performance. The TiO2 semiconductors with optimal performance are influenced by the growth method, the time of growth, the shape of the microstructure, and the optical properties. In this study, it was reported about the effect of silver nanoparticles (AgNO3) doping onto TiO2 semiconductors on their microstructure, reflectance, and efficiency of the DSSC device. The synthesis of TiO2 was carried out using liquid phase deposition (LPD) and immersed into an AgNO3 solution with a variation of time namely 0.5 h, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, and 6 h. The entire TiO2 + AgNO3 sample, then used as a photoanode on DSSC with plastisol as a counter electrode. Characterization of microstructure, reflectance, and DSSC performance was carried out by using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Uv-Vis Spectrophotometer, and Gamry Instrument, respectively. The FESEM results show that AgNO3 has successfully grown on the ITO substrate in a spherical shape with an average particle diameter ranging from 1.52-2.29 μm. From observations using the Uv-Vis Spectrophotometer, obtained the energy band gap values ranged from 0.22 to 2.27 eV. The best results of DSSC device efficiency, with TiO2+AgNO3/Dye/Plastisol structure, have resulted in the Voc of 0.694 V, current density (Jsc) of 0,943 mA/cm2and fill factor (FF) of 43,50% which is obtained at sample 1.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Influence of Problem Solving Learning Model on Student Physics Learning Outcomes Class VIII in SMPN 5 Lingsar Academic Year 2012/2013. The type of research used is experimental research. The sample used is 21 person class VIII-A as experiment class and 23 students of class VIIIB as control class and have been determined by random sampling technique. The data in the study were obtained from initial and final tests. Data collection techniques use objective tests that have been tested for validity, reliability, distinguishing power, and difficulty indexes. The result of the data analysis obtained the average score of initial test of experimental class of 34 and 39 for control class. The final test shows an average score of the experimental class of 75 and the control class of 68. The final test data of the students of the sample class were analyzed using the t-test. Results obtained t-test of 119.61 and t-table 2.016. T-count is greater than t-table at 5% error level and db = 42. We conclude that there is a positive effect of using Problem Solving learning model to student physics learning result.

Abstract

Inkuiri dipandang sebagai panduan yang memadai ketika tujuan pembelajaran mengarah pada peningkatan kapasitas atau kualitas berpikir mahasiswa. Hanya saja pemikiran mendalam dibutuhkan untuk mencapai pemikiran kritis yang optimal pada mahasiswa, dan ini adalah bagian dari instruksi refleksi. Studi kami saat ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi dampak praktik refleksi dalam inkuiri terhadap penguatan berpikir kritis mahasiswa berdasarkan perbedaan gaya kognitif. Kami mengonduksikan studi pada subjek terbatas yaitu 24 mahasiswa di Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika, dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Instrumen GEFT digunakan untuk mengukur gaya kognitif, dan tes essay untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis. Data berpikir kritis mahasiswa dianalisis secara deskriptif (parameter hasil pre-posttest dan n-gain) dan statistik (pair t-tets). Hasil studi telah menunjukkan bahwa refleksi dalam pembelajaran inkuiri berdampak pada peningkatan berpikir kritis mahasiswa untuk semua gaya kognitif. Implikasi hasil studi ini adalah penerapannya secara luas pada pembelajaran reguler di kelas.

Abstract

This study is an experimental study that aims to determine the increasing of concept mastery and the students critical thinking skills in Optical materials using Interactive Multimedia (MMI) based learning model. Optical materials in this study is limited to the Geometry Optics material. Research design using pre-test - post-test control group design. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 2 Mataram Academic Year 2012/2013. Sampling using random cluster sampling, the students of class X-1 as the experimental group and the students of class X-3 as a control group. The increasing data of concepts mastery and critical thinking skills of students were analyzed using t-test formula two parties polled variance and N-gain test. At the significant level of 5% and dk of 79 obtained that ttest is more than ttable (5.198> 1.993). It is obtained for the experimental class N-gain of 71.338% with a high category, whereas for the control class derived N-gain of 60.261% with moderate category. Thus, it can be concluded that the increasing mastery of concepts and critical thinking skills of students in the material Optics, Optics Geometry in this case, in experiments class using the Interactive Multimedia-based learning model (MMI) is higher than in the control class that uses a conventional learning models.

Abstract

Thie aims of this research was to measure the influence of student pocket book usage by using evaluation technique on cheerful puzzle media towards activity and the learning outcomes of physic, on vibration and wave. The research implied on Quasi Experiment with the design of Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample taken by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used on the collecting data process is observation sheet and multiple choice test. Based on the average of student activity on the experiment class was higher than class control. Based on the data, on the experiment class found that the average of the first meeting was 73,33%, and on the second meeting was found that 81,33%. Which categorized as very good and excellent, meanwhile on the control class for the first meeting was found the average of student activity was 64% and the second meeting shown that 57,3% which categorized enough and good enough. The average of the result of study on experiment class was 52,5 and for the class control was 53,8. In tears of posttest data resulted, the average of experiment class was 70,67, and the control class was 65,17. Based on the result of t-test data, posttest resulted tcalculate > ttable (14,05>2,03) with  = 5%, and found that alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted. Thus it can be conclude that there is influence of using pocket book for student with the evaluation technique on cheerful puzzle media towards activity and learning outcomes study on the topic vibration and wave at  SMP 11 Mataram.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect comics Media the mastery toward concepts of Physics Students Class VIII MTs NW Sanggeng the Academic Year 2015/2016. Research type used is experimental research. The population in this study is all students of class VIII MTs NW Sanggeng. Samples used is class VIIIA totaling 21 people as a class experiment and VIIIB students of 20 people as the control class taken with purposive sampling technique. The data in this study taken to give the initial test and final test to students sample. Data collection techniques using test questions Essay. Based on the analysis of data obtained by the average value of the initial test of the experimental class 13.29 and the control class is 12.85. Final test results showed an average grade of 63.05 experiment and the control class 49.10. Data final test graders samples were analyzed using t-test. Based on the results of data analysis using t-test obtained tcalculate equal to 2,756 and ttable of 2.002. Obtained thitung greater than t table at a 5% error level, so Ha is received, it can be concluded that there is effect from the use Media comic the mastery toward concepts of Physics Students Class VIII MTs NW Sanggeng in the academic year 2015/2016.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 3 Mataram. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, serta refleksi, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 3 Mataram dengan jumlah 29 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar obsevasi yang digunakan untuk mengukur keterlaksanaan keterampilan proses sains dan kegiatan guru, tes hasil belajar tipe soal pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 soal. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa (1) keterlaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran guru siklus I 75% dengan kategori baik meningkat menjadi sangat baik di siklus II dengan persentase 83%. (2) peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa dari siklus I 50% dengan kategori cukup terampil meningkat menjadi 77% dengan kategori terampil pada siklus II. (3) peningkatan ketuntasan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dari siklus I 61,03% ke siklus II 70,52%, dengan selisih peningkatan sebesar 9,49%, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui metode pembelajaran EPA (Eksplorasi Pengenalan dan Aplikasi konsep) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 3 Mataram.Implementation of Biology Learning with the EPA Method to Improve Students' Science Process Skills and Cognitive Learning OutcomesAbstractThis study aims to improve science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of class VIIB students of SMP Negeri 3 Mataram. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting, the approach used is a quantitative approach and a qualitative approach. The research subjects were students of class VIIB SMP Negeri 3 Mataram with a total of 29 people. The research instrument was in the form of an observation sheet used to measure the implementation of science process skills and teacher activities, a test of learning outcomes of the multiple choice type with 20 questions. The results of the study stated that (1) the implementation of teacher learning activities in cycle I was 75% with a good category increasing to very good in cycle II with a percentage of 83%. (2) the improvement of students' science process skills from 50% in the first cycle with the moderately skilled category increased to 77% with the skilled category in the second cycle. (3) the improvement of students' cognitive learning completeness from cycle I 61.03% to cycle II 70.52%, with a difference of increase of 9.49%, it can be concluded that through the EPA learning method (Exploration Introduction and Concept Application) can improve science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of class VIIB students of SMP Negeri 3 Mataram.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop CERIA LKM-based physics teaching materials to improve critical thinking skills and creative student physics teacher candidate. This research is a development research that fulfill 3 (three) criteria, namely validity (valid), practicality (practical), and effectiveness (effective). Assessment of valuator on the validation stage of basic physics teaching materials based on MFI Ceria developed is 3.37 (good category) with reliability percentage 97.76% (categorized reliable). The results of this validation indicate that the basic physics materials based on Ceria MFIs developed are feasible to be used in the implementation stage. The implementation phase of teaching materials has involved physics education program students, where the results of the implementation of teaching materials developed categorized 'very good'. The next implementation is the evaluation of students' critical and creative thinking skills.
