Abstract

Sharia banking has an important role for economic progress and national development, but the problem faced is the development of the sharia banking industry itself which is growing slowly compared to conventional banks. One of the benchmarks for knowing the development of sharia commercial banks in Indonesia is the performance efficiency of each sharia commercial bank. This research aims to compare the performance efficiency of sharia commercial banks in Indonesia in 2023. The research method used is quantitative analysis using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The sample used is a saturated sample, which means taking all the existing population as a sample. The sample for this research is 13 financial reports of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia in 2023. The results of the research show that measuring efficiency using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with a Constant Return To Scale (CRS) approach and input orientation, the results obtained are that PT Bank Aladin Syariah Tbk, PT Bank KB Bukopin Syariah, PT Bank Panin Dubai Syariah Tbk, and PT Bank Tabungan Pensiun Negara Syariah Tbk have an efficiency value of 100% so these four banks are said to be efficient.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh kualitas pelayanan, pengetahuan produk, dan tingkat pendapatan mahasiswa muslim terhadap minat menabung di BMT. Data penelitian didapatkan melalui survey penelitian berupa sebaran angket kuisioner terstruktur yang ditujukan kepada mahasiswa muslim yang aktif di wilayah universitas islam negeri raden mas said surakarta. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari hasil kuisioner tersebut kemudian dilakukan pengujian data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda melalui platform IBM SPSS Statistic 23 untuk menguji hubungan variabel independen (kualitas pelayanan, pengetahuan produk, dan tingkat pendapatan) terhadap variabel dependen (minat menabung). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi negatif antara kualitas pelayanan terhadap minat mahasiswa dalam menabung di BMT sedangkan variabel pengetahuan produk dan tingkat pendapatan mahasiswa berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat mahasiswa dalam menabung di BMT. Adapun ketiga variabel tersebut secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi minat mahasiswa dalam menabung di BMT. Penemuan ini memiliki implikasi praktis bagi BMT sebagai lembaga keuangan mikro syariah yang bergerak dalam bisnis jasa keuangan untuk meningkatkan layanan dan edukasi atau literasi keuangan guna memperkuat peningkatan minat menabung mahasiswa muslim. Perbaikan kualitas pelayanan, peningkatan pengetahuan produk, dan strategi yang mempertimbangkan tingkat pendapatan mahasiswa dapat menjadi kunci dalam mengembangkan transaksi keuangan untuk produk tabungan yang lebih efektif serta berprinsip syariah di lingkungan akademis.

Abstract

Abstract The trend of imported women's clothing sales in Langsa City tends to be inconsistent with sharia compliance and triggers consumer behavior, even though traders are required to follow market trends. This study aims to analyze the influence of this trend on sharia compliance and consumer behavior of the community using a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that: (1) Imported fashion trends cause a shift in Muslim women's clothing patterns due to variations in design, models, and quality, but some are not in accordance with sharia because they emphasize body curves and do not completely cover the aurat, although consumers still consider the quality of materials and durability. (2) This trend also encourages consumer behavior, such as impulsive purchases due to design and promotion, as well as excessive lifestyles for status and social image, so that purchasing decisions are not only based on function, but also symbolic value Keywords: Imported Women’s Fashion Trends, Sharia Compliance, Consumerist Behavior.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of Islamic buying and selling practices in the digital economy, focusing on social media-based transactions conducted by Acehnese women. In Aceh, where Islamic law is formally implemented, social media has become a prominent marketplace facilitating various commercial activities. However, digital transactions raise critical concerns regarding compliance with Islamic commercial principles, including contractual clarity, fairness, transparency, and the avoidance of gharar. Employing a qualitative approach with virtual ethnography, this study collects data through social media observation and in-depth interviews with Acehnese women actively engaged in digital transactions. The analysis applies the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah framework to evaluate the conformity of these practices with Islamic commercial objectives. The findings indicate that most social media-based transactions rely on implicit, unwritten contracts, with varying levels of Sharia literacy among participants. While elements of mutual consent and price agreement are generally present, information asymmetry and potential gharar remain challenges. From a maqāṣid perspective, digital buying and selling practices are considered valid when they promote wealth protection, justice, and public benefit. This study underscores the importance of strengthening Islamic commercial literacy to ensure ethical and sustainable digital trade practices.

Abstract

Kasab Aceh is a cultural heritage that has high artistic, historical, and local identity value. However, the increasingly competitive development of the creative industry demands innovation to maintain the sustainability and increase the economic value of kasab products. This study aims to analyze the innovation of the Kasab Aceh motif in Pidie Regency as an effort to develop the creative economy through a sociopreneurship approach. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation of kasab business actors, craftsmen, and the local community. The results show that the innovation of the Kasab Aceh motif is carried out by adapting elements of local culture, flora, fauna, and regional symbols without eliminating the traditional values ​​​​contained within it. The sociopreneurship approach is implemented through community empowerment, improving craftsman skills, creating jobs, and strengthening community-based marketing networks. This innovation not only increases the competitiveness of kasab products in the market but also has a social impact in the form of increased community income and preservation of local culture. Therefore, the innovation of the Kasab Aceh motif based on sociopreneurship can be an effective strategy in supporting the development of a sustainable creative economy in Pidie Regency..

Abstract

The animated film project Merah Putih: One For All has attracted widespread public criticism due to the perceived mismatch between the substantial public funding allocated and the quality of its output. Beyond concerns over budget efficiency, the controversy reflects a broader crisis of public trust regarding transparency, accountability, and legitimacy in the management of public funds within the national creative industry. Existing studies generally examine public accountability or creative industry governance separately, whereas this study offers a novel perspective by integrating fiqh muamalah principles with maqashid sharia, particularly the principle of hifz al-mal (protection of wealth), to evaluate public fund management in a state-supported creative project. This study aims to analyze the governance of public funds from the perspective of fiqh muamalah and examine its implications for public trust. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through document analysis of official reports, news articles, and public discourse on social media, supported by the concepts of amanah, maslahah, and accountability in Islamic public finance. The findings reveal that the project demonstrates inconsistencies between public expenditure and measurable public benefit, indicating shortcomings in the implementation of amanah and maslahah. These shortcomings have contributed to declining public trust and intensified demands for greater transparency and performance-based evaluation of publicly funded creative initiatives. This study contributes to the literature by proposing fiqh muamalah as an ethical-analytical framework for assessing accountability in public fund management within the creative industry, thereby extending the application of Islamic economic principles beyond conventional public finance studies. Abstract

The rise of hedonistic behavior among adolescents has become increasingly evident due to the influence of social media, consumer culture, and modern lifestyles. However, studies examining this phenomenon from the perspective of Islamic consumption theory among adolescents in Langsa City remain limited. This study aims to analyze the forms of hedonistic behavior among adolescents aged 19–22 years in Langsa City and to examine these behaviors based on Islamic consumption theory. This research employed a qualitative field research approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving 10 informants selected using purposive sampling. The findings reveal that hedonistic behavior is reflected in adolescents' tendency to follow lifestyle trends, such as purchasing branded products, owning an iPhone as a symbol of social status, and prioritizing consumption oriented toward personal satisfaction and social recognition. From the perspective of Islamic consumption theory, these behaviors do not fully reflect the principles of balanced consumption, avoiding extravagance (israf), and prioritizing the welfare of oneself, one's family, and society through spending in the way of Allah. This study contributes to the literature by providing an analysis of adolescent hedonistic behavior within the framework of Islamic consumption theory in the local context of Langsa City, thereby offering a reference for strengthening Islamic consumption literacy among young people.Keywords: hedonism; Islamic consumption; adolescents; Langsa City.
