Abstract

Queues are events that we often encounter in various places that provide services to the public, one of which is the Post Office. Service to customer satisfaction is a very important thing, so that improving the quality of customer service must always be done. A good queuing system will affect consumer behavior and satisfaction. PT. Pos Indonesia Persero Binjai is a service company where the purpose of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) itself is customer satisfaction oriented. The problems that occurred at PT. Pos Indonesia Persero Binjai caused long queues to build up in queues. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to improve the system such as applying the queuing model application by applying the queuing model method and Monte Carlo simulation. Monte Carlo is a probabilistic simulation method that generates random input to mimic the existing conditions of a problem by estimating the same distribution and in accordance with reality. So that with the improvement of the system, the application of the queuing model can be applied, directing customers to take queue numbers, and monitoring the queue card arrangement, adding tellers to serve customers, enlarging the waiting room so that customers are comfortable waiting and also determine the characteristics and performance measures of the queuing system in part of the payment counter and delivery of goods that will help PT. Abstract

Mental illness is a disease that is widespread among Indonesian people. Mental illness, also known as mental health disorder, is a term that refers to various conditions that can affect a person's thoughts, moods, feelings or behavior. However, there are still many Indonesian people who do not recognize and indicate the existence of mental illness because many people do not pay attention to their mental health or those around them. the small number of psychiatrists available in each area and the costs required are also not small, causing ordinary people to be reluctant to carry out examinations with psychiatrists, this of course leads to delays in treatment which can even be fatal. To prevent the increase in sufferers of mental illness, a system is needed that can store the knowledge of experts or psychologists who understand how to handle mental illness. An expert expert system is an artificial intelligence program that combines a knowledge base with an inference system to emulate an expert. The certainty factor method is a method used to solve cases of uncertainty, where the size is based on a fact or rule that can be used in expert systems. With the existence of an expert system for diagnosing mental illness, the general public can recognize early symptoms of mental illness, so treatment can be done earlier. From the results of the trials conducted, the results of the mental illness expert system were obtained with the highest score, namely depression with a confidence value of 90.02%.

Abstract

Fires often become disasters that can cause significant losses, both material and human lives. Fires can occur anywhere, including buildings, homes, and industries. During a fire, the risk of death or serious injury is also very high for people trapped inside a room, due to limited access to exit from the room where the fire occurs. Security is one of the most important aspects of life; everyone needs greater safety assurance regarding their home. In this research, the author employs system development and simulation methods, which allow researchers to reproduce complex environments and test system performance under various conditions without building actual physical infrastructure. Researchers have an idea to create a model and simulation of an automatic fire extinguisher and a security system based on IoT and cloud computing using Cisco Packet Tracer. The use of Cisco Packet Tracer as a simulator allows for the creation of IoT-based network simulation models to analyze the results of the simulations on the developed system, ensuring that the simulation results are accurate. The automatic fire extinguisher and security system simulation model yields positive results. When a fire is detected, the sprinkler system, alarm, and LCD provide information indicating a fire, while exit access such as doors and windows yield good simulation results. Additionally, the simulations for security systems for entrance security and rooms containing valuable items produce favorable simulation outcomes.

Abstract

Digital innovation in public services has gained significant global attention, particularly in enhancing service delivery and user engagement. This study explores the use of Instagram-based Augmented Reality (AR) as a novel approach to inform and educate the public about the procedure for obtaining a Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) at the South Sulawesi Regional Police. Traditional methods, such as printed brochures and static websites, often fail to provide clear and accessible guidance, leading to inefficiencies and user frustration. In contrast, Instagram-based AR offers an interactive, visually engaging experience, enabling users to receive real-time, step-by-step instructions via AR filters. This approach simplifies the SKCK application process by providing dynamic and user-friendly guidance, reducing errors and time spent at police stations. A trial involving surveys and user feedback was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of this digital tool. The results indicate that AR significantly improves user understanding, satisfaction, and engagement compared to conventional methods. This study demonstrates the potential of AR to enhance public service delivery and offers insights into the application of digital technologies in governmental processes. The proposed innovation is not only an effective solution for the SKCK process but also sets a precedent for future digital transformations in public services.
