Abstract

This study explores the importance of integrating the four language skills- listening, speaking, reading, and writing teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, as opposed to the traditional methods that isolate these skills. The objective of this research is to demonstrate how an integrative approach to language instruction enhances learners’ overall proficiency and communicative competence. Using an analytical survey method, an electronic questionnaire was distributed to 120 students enrolled in the Post Graduate and Research Department of Arabic at The New College, Chennai, India. The findings reveal that students benefit significantly from a cohesive approach that mirrors real-world language use, improving their fluency and accuracy across all language domains. Results also indicate that integrating language skills helps learners develop balanced linguistic competence, reinforcing the interconnectedness of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Based on these findings, this paper advocates for the redesign of educational curricula and teaching programs to adopt this integrative method, thereby improving the efficacy of Arabic language instruction for non-native speakers. The conclusion underscores that such an approach is vital for fostering communicative competence and linguistic development among learners.

Abstract

There is a need for evaluations to help us understand the associations found in research on special education and new media. The researcher in this study explores the role of digital media in public education, with a specific emphasis on the role of digital media in the education of students with special needs and other types of disabilities. We used qualitative studies for our investigation. Under this pedagogical framework, it will provide helpful materials for digital media teachers and students who may not be fully aware of the benefits and significance of special education in the context of digital media instruction and education. Because there aren't enough studies on the subject, the sample size for this article is 12. The special edition on digital media and educational technology-based education for children with impairments. Initially, the selected pieces were dispersed in 2020 and 2022. Information required for the review's assessment was assembled by classifying the collected data according to the review's rubric. The review is the most useful tool for this assessment since it provides the best method for arranging both large amounts of data and personal judgments. In addition to describing how instructors and library media workers may work together to address the needs of children with disabilities, this article gives an overview of both physical and digital access to the library's resources. Research conducted by specialists has shown a positive correlation between all of these biomarkers.

Abstract

Email serves as a communication channel for students in higher educational institutions to interact with teachers on course materials, assignments, and impending tests and seek guidance on personal or academic concerns. The present research examines student-instructor email communication, explicitly identifying the problematic elements in students' emails that hinder effective communication. The study examines a sample of 50 email communications composed and sent by first-year students to their instructors at Bright Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) in Kurdistan. Textual analysis is a valuable method for investigating research inquiries across several disciplines. The study findings demonstrated that informal aspects of student email exchanges include the usage of slang, overuse of capitalization, unconventional spelling, symbols, and emoticons. Lack of adherence to email etiquette norms and grammatical errors. These elements indicate a need for more understanding of formality, professionalism, and the decorum expected in a university atmosphere. Thus, it is advisable to implement pedagogical intervention to develop the necessary abilities for composing and comprehending emails. Providing education and assistance on the protocols and norms of email communication may enhance students' capacity to effectively and professionally interact via email in (BTVI), hence fostering good practices and increasing future employment prospects.

Abstract

This study examines computer self-efficacy among teacher educators, defined as the confidence in one's ability to effectively utilize computer technology for educational purposes. The main aim is to investigate gender differences in self-efficacy across three competency levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, a self-constructed questionnaire containing 35 items was distributed to a purposive sample of 100 teacher educators, which included 61 female and 39 male participants. T-tests were employed to analyze the differences in self-efficacy scores between genders. The findings indicate no significant difference in self-efficacy at the basic competency level (t = 0.8391). In contrast, female educators displayed significantly higher self-efficacy scores in intermediate (t = 4.1417) and advanced competencies (t = 4.2159). Furthermore, female educators achieved an average score of 142.62 on the overall computer self-efficacy scale, notably exceeding the average score of 117.28 for male educators (t = 5.0717). Thus, the study reveals important gender dynamics in computer self-efficacy among teacher educators. It indicates that female educators tend to have greater confidence in their computer skills as they advance in competency levels. This highlights the need to address gender disparities in professional development initiatives and suggests that further research should explore the underlying factors that influence self-efficacy in technology use among educators.

Abstract

This commission laid the groundwork for subsequent reforms to promote universal primary education and reduce disparities in access. Following this, the 1982 Commission emphasized quality and relevance in education, advocating for a curriculum that aligned with the needs of the country’s economy and society. It introduced vocational training to bridge the gap between education and employment, highlighting the importance of skill development in achieving economic growth. This approach aimed to enhance accountability and responsiveness to the unique needs of different communities. In the early 2000s, the 2000 Education Commission further advanced the agenda of inclusive education, with a strong emphasis on gender equity and the need to support marginalized groups. It recognized the role of technology in modern education and recommended integrating ICT into the curriculum to prepare students for a globalized world. Finally, the 2009 Commission built upon previous recommendations and emphasized the necessity for ongoing reforms to adapt to changing global trends, including the need for a lifelong learning framework. Overall, the comparative analysis of these commissions highlights a continuous evolution of educational policies in Bangladesh, marked by an increasing recognition of the importance of quality, inclusivity, and relevance in education. It underscores the dynamic interplay between education and national development, as each commission responded to the pressing needs of its time while laying the groundwork for future reforms. This comprehensive examination of educational reforms serves as a crucial foundation for understanding the ongoing challenges and opportunities within the Bangladeshi education system today.
