Abstract

The growth of culinary tourism has become a tourist attraction in many countries worldwide. Culinary is important in endorsing the uniqueness and authenticity of the country and nation. This paper investigates the role of language and visual images in fostering Indonesian cuisine on social media, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter in multimodal perspectives. This research adopted multimodal discourse analysis to manipulate the data gained. The study focuses on the language and visual elements employed in social media. The choice of words and stylistic strategies on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter become the concern of the analysis. The main visual analysis concerns are modality, participant and salience. The find shows that social media relies heavily on exaggerated language and images to foster culinary tourism in Indonesia. It thus contributes to our understanding of how multimodal discourse about Indonesian culinary tourism develops with changing Indonesian tourism.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism management is a crucial aspect that needs attention to improve the quality of destinations. Sekotong, an area in West Lombok regency, has a lot of potential that can be developed to support sustainable tourism, while studies on identifying the potential and implementing sustainable tourism in this area are still limited. This study aims to identify tourism potential in Sekotong as a tourism product and evaluate the implementation of sustainable tourism management in each destination of Sekotong. Data collection was carried out through the observation of four representative destinations, namely Mangrove Sekotong Tengah and Elak-Elak Beach representing marine tourism, Mareje Village for rural tourism, and 3 Gilis (Naggu, Tangkong, Sudak) representing island tourism. The research was conducted by observing the potencies of these destinations and then reviewing the implementation of the concept of sustainability. To obtain more information, researchers interviewed managers or tourism operators at each destination. The observation and interview referred to 4 pillars of the GSTC sustainable tourism standards. The results showed that there is a potential for cultural tourism products in Mareje village, marine and underwater tourism activities in 3 Gilis and Elak-Elak beach, as well as marine-based educational tours in Mangrove Sekotong Selatan. Referring to the 4 pillars in sustainable tourism, however, the management and provision of facilities need to be standardized and improved. In addition, several important strategies need to be implemented in improving the quality of these destinations such as synchronization among stakeholders and training in implementing destination management by considering all sustainable tourism concepts in accordance with the 4 pillars in the GSTC criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penunjang\pendorong kesuksesan pengelolaan Desa Wisata Nglanggeran; 2) untuk menguraikan langkah atau upaya praktis yang dilakukan oleh pengelola Desa Wisata Desa Wisata Nglanggeran dalam mewujudkan pariwisata berbasis masyarakat (community-based tourism). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni tahun 2018 dengan tujuan mendapatkan gambaran mengenai aktivitas kepariwisataan yang terjadi di lokasi penelitian. Penulis memanfaatkan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam kepada pengurus atau pengelola Desa Wisata Nglanggeran serta observasi partisipatif sebagai wisatawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesuksesan pengelolaan Desa Wisata Nglanggeran adalah karena kemampuan generasi muda yang juga merupakan masyarakat asli yang mendiami desa tersebut untuk bekerja dan berinovasi membuat dan menciptakan paket wisata untuk wisatawan. Kesadaran kolektif masyarakatnya juga menjadi kunci kesuksesan tersebut. Peran Pokdarwis Nglanggeran dalam pemberian edukasi dan atau sosialisasi kepada masyarakat mampu mewujudkan pariwisata berbasis masyarakat.

Abstract

In daily life, human being can never escape from language. There are two types of languages; the standard language and the non-standard languages. In Indonesia, the standard language is Bahasa Indonesia, while the non-standard languages are the languages of vernacular (local languages) and sub-cultural languages (slang, jargon, etc). Nowadays, most of teenagers use the nonstandard language to communicate among their friends, which is called slang. There is a newslang in Indonesia which is called Alay language. The Alay language is popular among teenagers since 2008 until now. The purpose of this study were (1) to know the patterns used to modify Alay Language, (2) to know the effect of using Alay language on the standard form of Indonesian language, and (3) to find out the purpose of Alay Language used by teenagers in Makassar. This research uses descriptive analysis method. The research data were taken from the conversations that contained of Alay's words, which were previously made on the internet by Facebook social network users. Other supporting data were the questionnaires. The results of this study indicated that (1) There were no standard rules in modifying Alay Language, but the most common process was Substitution Process with a frequency of 38%. (2) The use of Alay Language had both the positive and negative effects on the existence of standard language, Indonesian language. (3) One of the reasons of using the Alay language was to be called “cool”.

Abstract

Jeneponto Regency has various kinds of natural attractions and cultural tourism that can be managed and developed so that it becomes an attractive tourist destination. One of the natural potentials of Jeneponto Regency is bathing in Tamalatea Sub-district called Permandian Birtaria Kassi. The bath was once very crowded but in recent years there has been a drastic decline and has resulted in a decline in tourist interest. This study aims to find out and analyze the effectiveness of the role of the Regional Government in revitalizing tourism in Permandian Birtaria Kassi, Tamalatea Subdistrict, Jeneponto Regency. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with a unit of analysis Bathing in Birtaria Kassi, Jeneponto Regency that uses 4 key informants. Oka revealed that there are three aspects in measuring the effectiveness of the government's role in fulfilling tourism facilities and infrastructure, namely Attraction, Accessibility, and Amenities. The results of the study indicate that the role of the government has not been effective in revitalizing the bath of Birtaria Kassi. Therefore, the authors suggest that the regional government of Jeneponto Regency prepare a Human Resource Data Manager who is competent in their fields, allocates a special budget to fix all existing infrastructure shortcomings and the need for cooperation between all stakeholders in maintaining security and comfort for tourists.

Abstract

This research aims at identifying the strategy in developing bissoloro village. A qualitatively driven SWOT method has guided the researchers in identifying the Strength and Weakness. This research was conducted in Gowa regency in Bissoloro village from April to September 2018. The research reveals that the government, community and the villagers itself must have cooperation or agreement such Memorandum of Understanding to put the vision and mission become virtual. Tourism training and assistance seems to be problem-solving in order Bissoloro become famous tourist destinations. This research recommends the improvements of knowledge, awarness, and remembering not only limited to Regional Boards of Tourism in Gowa Regency, Community but also to the every residents of Gowa Regency and especially Bissoloro village too, so the visitors wil gain an amazing experience in Bissoloro village. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis implementasi Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) di Hotel Grand Clarion Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Obyek penelitian ini adalah Hotel Grand Clarion Makassar. Populasi penelitian adalah semua masyarakat yang menjadi sasaran implementasi CSR selama tahun 2017 yaitu 301 KK. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 70 responden yang ditentukan dengan teknik Nonprobability Sampling, yaitu accidental sampling dan convenience sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi CSR di Hotel Grand Clarion Makassar sangat tinggi dilihat indicator: (1) Aspek ekonomi berupa dampak ekonomi dari kegiatan operasional yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan, (2) Aspek sosial berupa bentuk perhagaan dari perusahaan yang diberikan kepada stakeholder internal maupun eksternal, dan (3) Aspek lingkungan berupa tindakan perusahaan agar dapat mengurangi dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kekurangan – kekurangan yang menjadi permasalahan dalam pengembangan wisata permandian alam waetuo Kabupaten Bone serta upaya yang seharusnya dilakukan pihak Dinas pariwisata Kabupaten Bone dalam menjawab kekurangan dan permasalahan yang terjadi khususnya yang terkait denga wisata alam waetuo. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu dengan menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, metode ini digunakan untuk melakukan pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Kab. Bone Provinsis Sulawesi Selatan memiliki beragam potensi destinasi pariwisata yang berjumlah 30 destinasi wisata alam dan sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan salah satunya dari destinasi yang peneliti lakukan adalah keberadaan wisata permandian alam waetuo hanya saja wisata alam waetuo tersebut belum dapat terkelola dengan maksimal hal ini, dapat terlihat dengan adanya data yang menunjukkan bahwa kurangnya pegawai yang ditempatkan dibagian pengelolaan wisata alam waetuo, sebahagian bangunan yang mengalami kerusakan, fasilitas sarana yang kurang memadai, rumah penduduk masih menyatu dengan lokasi destinasi, kurangnya pelatihan dan bimbingan yang dilakukan oleh pihak Dinas Pariwisata Kab. Bone serta kurangnya bentuk promosi yang dilakukan hal ini dapat di ketahui dari data yang terkumpul menunjukkan pengunjung yang datang ke wisata alam waetuo hanya sebatas wisatawan lokal dan jumlah pengunjung dari luar wilayah Kab. Bone masih sangat kurang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui sebaran daerah tujuan wisata di Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar sebagai salah satu unsur penunjang sektor pariwisata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif, sumber data diperoleh melalui survei dengan catatan lapangan, wawancara dan dokumentasi, sementara teknik pengolahan data menggunakan bantuan software ArcGIS 10.5 dengan memvisualisasikan data, berupa data spasial serta peparan data secara deskripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 23 objek wisata alam yang tersebar di Kecamatan Passimarannu, Pasilambena, Taka Bonerate, Bontosikuyu, Bontoharu, Benteng dan Bontomatene, selain itu hasil pemetaan Daerah Tujuan Wisata Kabupaten Kepulaua Selayar terdiri dari data grafis dan atribut masing-masing objek wisata. Kata Kunci: Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar, pemetaan, potensi objek wisata alam.

Abstract

Analisis Daya Dukung Potensi Wisata Bahari Baru Di Kawasan Wisata Pulau Weh Sebagai Pulau Terluar. Pulau Weh memiliki panorama alam yang menarik yang tersebar dihampir semua wilayah, salah satunya adalah keindahan pantai, pemandangan bawah laut dengan terumbu karang, berbagai jenis ikan hias, pemandangan alam pegunungan, dan monumen tugu kilometer nol Indonesia. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Pulau Sabang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam bentuk deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan survei. Polupasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pelaku bisnis, masyarakat dan wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Objek Wisata Pantai Iboh. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara, pengamatan, dokumentasi, studi pustaka, kuesioner. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif berdasarkan persentase, tentang penilain aspek fisik dan penialaian aspek prilaku masyarakat. Sedangkan untuk mengkaji potensi objek wisata, dilakukan analisis penilaian dan pengharkatan berdasarkan potensi yang dimiliki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, empat aspek yang dianalsis, yaitu: atraksi, aktifitas, aksesibilitas dan amenitas menunjukkan bahwa semua aspek diatas memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan potensi wisata baru yang dapat dikembangkan di Pulau Weh, namun fokus pengembangan potensi daya tarik wisata yang ada di Pulau weh yaitu pada aspek fisik untuk mendukung atraksi dan aktivitas wisata yang ada.
