Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and the level of stress in parents who have mentally retarded children moderated by the socio-economic status in SLB C Bandung City. The research method used is a quantitative method with the participants totaling 98 parents who have mentally retarded children in SLB C Bandung City. The instrument in this study uses social support which refers to aspects of House (1985) to measure social support, Perceived Stress Scale 10 to measure stress levels, and Kuppuswamy's Socioeconomic Scale to measure socioeconomic status. The data analysis techniques used in this study were simple correlation and moderate regression analysis (MRA). The results in this study indicate that socioeconomic status moderates social support with stress levels with an R square value of 0.812. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah status social ekonomi memoderasi dukungan sosial dengan tingkat stres pada orang tua yang memiliki anak tunagrahita di SLB C Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan partisipan berjumlah 98 orang tua yang memiliki anak tunagrahita di SLB C Kota Bandung. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur dukungan sosial yang mengacu pada aspek House (1985), Perceived Stress Scale 10 untuk mengukur tingkat stres, dan Kuppuswamy’s Socioeconomic Scale untuk mengukur status sosial ekonomi. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah korelasi sederhana dan moderate regression analysis (MRA). Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa status sosial ekonomi memoderasi hubungan sosial dengan tingkat stres dengan nilai R square 0.812.

The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between epistemological beliefs and self-regulated learning. The respondent of this study were 105 students of elementary Islamic teaching program in Islamic State College in Kudus, that completed questionnaires to measure they epistemological beliefs and self-regulated learning. The results of the study showed that there was a negative significant relationship between epistemological beliefs and selfregulated learning.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepercayaan epistemologis dengan belajar berdasar regulasi diri. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Jurusan Tarbiyah, Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (STAIN) Kudus yang berjumlah 105 mahasiswa. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dalam bentuk skala. Data dianalisis dengan korelasi yang menghasilkan bahwa kepercayaan epistemologis berhubungan secara negatif dengan belajar berdasar regulasi diri.

This study aims to find out the influence of hardiness personality on cheating behavior through self-efficacy. Sample of study consist of 319 students of a high school. The instrument used is hardiness scale from Creed, Conlon, and Dhaliwal (2013), cheating behavior questionnaire which is adopted from Saddam (2016), and self-efficacy questionnaire from Schwarzel and Jarusalem (1995). This study use quantitative method with path analysis to find out cause-effect relation and involve self-efficacy variable as mediator variable. The results of study is significant negative influence of hardiness personality on cheating behavior,found significant influence of hardiness personality on self-efficacy, and Self-efficacy variable statistically can become significant mediator variable for hardiness personality toward cehating behavior. Therefore, hardiness personality becocme one contribution to influence students’ behavior in doing all tasks assigned and self-efficacy possessed also can contribute to students to be confident in finishing the tasks assigned at school.

Constraints in communication are generally experienced by parents with deaf children in elementary school age. The inability of children to hear and the lack of vocabulary of the children causes difficulties in understanding and conveying messages between parents and children. This causes the need for parents to convey and receive messages from children not achieved perfectly and cause stress. This study aimed to determine the relationship between barriers to communication with stress in parents with deaf children at primary school SLBN Pembina Pekanbaru. This study used correlational method. This research had 42 participants and used the instruments scale of communication barriers scale (Fajar, 2009) and stress scale based on Sarafino’s (1997) theories of stress and symptoms. The results showed the positive correlation of 0.819 (p smaller than 0.01).

AbstractThe zoning system for State Junior High Schools in Bandung is one of the important things related to student learning activities. The zoning system is a school system that can affect the level of student motivation. At the level of student learning motivation can be influenced by internal and external factors, several forms of internal factors, namely in the form of perceptions of the school system and perceptions of deprived conditions. This study aims to determine the influence of procedural justice perception and perceptions of relative deprivation to the motivation of learning student in the zoning system of Public Junior High School in Bandung. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach with a regression model. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach, with a regression model using regression analysis with SPSS 25 software. The sampling technique used was quota sampling to capture 397 respondents according to the research target. The process of distributing the instruments was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were the Selection Procedural Justice Scale (SPJS) developed by Severt (2002), the Personal Relative Deprivation Scale (PRDS) developed by Callan et al. (2008), and the scale of learning motivation developed by Aritonang (2008). The data analysis technique used is linear regression and multiple regression to calculate the influence. The results showed that procedural justice perception and perceptions of deprivation relative had a influence on student learning motivation. AbstrakSistem zonasi SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung merupakan salah satu hal penting terkait aktivitas belajar murid. Sistem zonasi merupakan sistem sekolah yang dapat memengaruhi tingkat motivasi belajar murid. Pada tingkat motivasi belajar murid salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal, beberapa bentuk faktor internal yaitu berupa persepsi pada sistem sekolah dan persepsi pada kondisi kesenjangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi keadilan prosedural dan persepsi deprivasi relatif terhadap motivasi belajar murid dalam sistem zonasi pada murid SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan model regresi yang menggunakan analisis regresi dengan software SPSS 25. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah quota sampling untuk menjaring 397 responden yang sesuai dengan target penelitian. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Selection Procedural Justice Scale (SPJS) yang dikembangkan oleh Severt (2002), Personal Relative Deprivation Scale (PRDS) yang dikembangkan oleh Callan, dkk. (2008), dan skala motivasi belajar yang dikembangkan oleh Aritonang (2008). The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating role of parental attachment towards the effect of career anxiety on Commitment to Career Choice. Commitment to Career Choice is a position in individual career development that includes certainty about one’s career choice, a positive sense of vocational future and awareness of potential obstacles (Blustein, Ellis, and Devenis, 1989). This study focus on one dimension of Commitment to Career Choice, tendency to foreclose. Tendency to foreclose is the desire to commit to one career decision as soon as possible without any period of exploration. This study used quantitative approach, involving 315 high school student as participants. The results indicated that there is significant effect of career anxiety on tendency to foreclose with parental attachment as a moderating variable. This study concludes with implication and suggestions for future research.

This research aimed to develop a Kualitas hidup measurement tool in Indonesia. The research method used in this study is a combined method of qualitative and quantitative research (mixed method). The qualitative stage aimed at exploring the theme of kualitas hidup totaling 250 people. Meanwhile, participants in the quantitative stage aimed at identifying psychometric properties (validity and reliability) numbered 759 people. The data analysis technique used for qualitative data is open coding. Quantitative data consists of construct validity test using factorial validity with exploratory factor analysis (EFA), convergent validity, and known-group validity, and estimation of internal consistency reliability using Cronbach's Alpha. The EFA results show that the Kualitas hidup Indonesia measuring instrument consists of 9 factors and 30 items with a very high reliability coefficient (.88). Convergent validity in this study was carried out by correlating the Kualitas hidup Indonesia measuring tool with the WHOQOL-BREF measurement tool. Validity by known-group is done by comparing demographic data of age, sex, marital status, education level, employment status, and health conditions using One Way ANOVA.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of peer counselor training to increase self awareness of adolescent risk behavior. This research is an experimental study using one group pretest-posttest research design. Subjects in this study were 28 junior high school students in class VII and class VIII by using the sampling method purposive sampling because of the special characteristics of the subject. Measuring instruments used are adaptations from the Self Awareness Scale Arabsharhangi and Noroozi (2014) which refers to the theory of Self Awareness (Goleman, 1998). Data analysis using paired sample t-test. The results showed that peer counselor training increased self-awareness of risk behaviors in adolescents, with t-value of - 8,482 and p-value of 0.011 (p smaller than 0.05). Increased self-awareness is found in aspects of emotional self awareness and self-assessment.

AbstractForgiveness is a psychological construct occuring often in daily life when people have personal interaction each other. The cultural stetrotype of forgiveness among ethnics in Indonesia is unique to discuss. This study is aimed at identifying the concept of forgiveness in people at Minangkabau culture. This study used qualitative method with indigenous psychology approach. This study ask participants four open-ended questions and 2 close-ended questions though google form application filled by participants in. The data were collected from 170 participants of from Minangkabau culture living both in West Sumatera province and othe towns outside the province. The data were analyzed with thematic analysis and used tabulation to the data achieved and researcher used coding and categorization toward the data. Results suggest that participants had a pattern of behavior in which they find it difficult to forget the mistakes of tthose who did something hurt them. They expect the punishment to them. It can be concluded that there are four concepts of forgiveness in this sample of ethnic: challenge, hope, revenge, and good deeds. AbstrakForgiveness merupakan konstruk psikologi yang sering terjadi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dalam interaksi interpersonal. Stereotip dalam konsep forgiveness berdasarkan suku dan budaya di Indonesia memiliki pola yang unik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi konsep forgiveness dalam masyarakat etnis Minangkabau. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi indigenous. Penelitian ini menggunakan empat pertanyaan terbuka dan dua pertanyaan tertutup melalui aplikasi google form yang diisi oleh partisipan. Studi mengumpulkan data dari 170 orang bersuku Minang yang berada di Sumatera Barat dan luar Sumatera Barat. Data diolah menggunakan analisis tematik dan menggunakan tabulasi terhadap data dimana peneliti melakukan proses koding dan kategorisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat etnis Minangkabau sulit melupakan kesalahan orang yang telah menyakitinya, mereka tidak menghindari orang yang telah menyakitinya, mereka mengharapkan adanya hukuman bagi orang yang telah menyakitinya, serta mereka tetap berbuat baik terhadap orang yang telah menyakitinya. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat konsep forgiveness dalam masyarakat etnis Minangkabau yaitu tantangan, harapan, balas dendam dan kebaikan.

This research aimed to know the correlation between democratic parenting style and emotional intelligence with sibling rivalry. Sibling rivalry triggered by individual internal or external factors. In this research, democratic parenting style serve as individual external factor and emotional intelligence serve as individual internal factor for sibling rivalry. Participants in this study were selected by purposive sampling technique which are parents who have children in age of 7 to 8 years old. Quntitative method was used by distributing Democratic Parenting Style Scale, Emotional Intelligence Scale and Persaingan antar saudara Scale to the participants. Regression was used to understand the correlation between variables and its correlational strength. This research showed that there is significant negative correlation between democratic parenting style and emotional intelligence with sibling rivalry. Partially, democratic parenting style and sibling rivalry results correlation coefficient r -0.196 meanwhile emotional intelligence and sibling rivalry results correlation coefficient r -0.293. Regression analysis between variables shows R square (R2) valued of 0.88. This result shows that democratic parenting style and emotionl intelligence can explain the variable variances of sibling rivalry valued of 8.8 percent together.
