Abstract

Democracy has essentially contributed to building a climate of freedom, legal equality of subjects, organizing representative government, and separation of powers in the structure of state government institutions. In practice, democracy has also tried to build principles regarding the international peace order in the structure of government institutions among democratic countries in the world through the vision of peace after World War II and the Cold War. For that, how democratization efforts help accelerate the transition to democratic consolidation by designing institutions and maintaining norms and practices in democratic governance on the condition that they respect and protect minority rights. The principles of the international peace order aim to promote a vision of peace in the international arena, especially democratic countries to carry out interdependent relations in the global economic sector related to international trade and investment and welcome international bodies as executors of the democratization process. The presence of a vision of peace is capable of being an important supplement in answering the needs of democracy that provides protection, security and peace, as well as to ward off the tendency of military power and totalitarian government systems of other countries that hinder the practice of international peacebuilding. Thus, democracy in practice has created a widening opportunity for countries in the world to build a mutualistic symbiosis system regarding the rules of international order, especially the issue of economic relations with peace relations facilitated by international bodies.

Abstract

Happiness is the main goal in human life, but the concept and how to achieve it are often debated in various perspectives, including philosophy and religion. The Qur'an as a guideline for the life of Muslims provides a comprehensive view of happiness, which is not only limited to material aspects, but also includes spiritual and moral dimensions. This article discusses happiness from the perspective of the Qur'an with a philosophical approach that is relevant to modern humans. This study examines the concept of happiness based on the verses of the Qur'an and the interpretations of scholars, then relates it to the challenges of contemporary life. The results of the study show that true happiness according to the Qur'an lies in peace of mind obtained through faith, good deeds, and gratitude. In addition, the understanding of happiness in Islam cannot be separated from the balance between worldly and hereafter aspects. Thus, a philosophical approach based on the Qur'an can be a solution for modern humans in achieving true and sustainable happiness.

Abstract

Islamic bioethics is a concept of medical ethics based on Islamic values, aiming to balance rights, responsibilities, and morality in medical practice. This concept is rooted in the role of humans as khalifah (stewards) on earth and the principles of maqasid al-shari‘ah, which include the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property. From an Islamic perspective, modern bioethical principles such as autonomy (patient autonomy), beneficence (doing good), non-maleficence (avoiding harm), and justice remain relevant but are contextualized within the framework of Islamic law. This study adapts modern bioethical principles and harmonizes them with Islamic teachings, forming the construction of Islamic Bioethics, which consists of four main pillars: jalb al-mashâlih (promoting benefits), dar‘u al-mafâsid (preventing harm), amanah (trust), and al-‘adl (justice), with ikhtiar (effort) as the overarching principle guiding the pursuit of healing. This approach emphasizes that medical efforts in Islam are not merely professional obligations but also acts of worship and ethical responsibility. Thus, this framework offers a bioethical paradigm that considers not only scientific and legal aspects but also the spiritual and moral dimensions in accordance with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The legal relationship between doctors and patients, known as a therapeutic transaction, forms the basis of medical services. This study aims to examine the dispute resolution mechanisms between healthcare professionals and patients, both within and outside of hospitals. The approach used is normative juridical, focusing on healthcare services where outcomes are uncertain, yet medical professionals are obligated to inform patients or their families of any potential medical risks prior to performing any procedures. This refers to the provisions of Law No. 29 of 2004 concerning Medical Practice, which requires doctors to obtain informed consent from patients after providing a thorough and clear explanation. This explanation should cover the diagnosis, the medical procedures to be undertaken, the purpose of the procedure, alternative treatments along with their associated risks, potential complications, and the prognosis following the procedure. In addition to resolving disputes through litigation in court, mediation as a form of non-litigation dispute resolution is also regulated under Article 29 of Law No. 36 of 2009 on Health. This article emphasizes that medical disputes should preferably be settled outside the court through mediation conducted by a mediator mutually agreed upon by both parties involved in the dispute.

Abstract

This study proposes the design of an antenna that works at the frequency of 2.1 GHz used for fifth-generation communication systems. The antenna is designed with FR-4 Epoxy substrate which has the specification of dielectric constant = 4.3, substrate thickness = 1.6 mm. FR-4 Epoxy substrate was chosen because it has a small dielectric constant value, so antenna losses can be reduced. The antenna is designed to have high gain and directional radiation patterns by the inset feed method and array method. The antennas that have been added with the inset feed method and array method have a return loss area of -47,785 dB, VSWR 1,008, and a gain of 6,393 dB at a frequency of 2.1 GHz. After using the inset feed method, the return loss value was successfully reduced to 95.48%, the bandwidth increased by 4.06% and by using the array method, the gain value increased by up to 95.93% compared to the single-element antenna. This research can be used as a recommendation for the design of receiver antennas in 5G communication systems.

Abstract

Abstract

Comparison of long-term outcomes of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) versus Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) for Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a crucial topic. However, the intellectual structure and thematic evolution of this literature have not been quantitatively assessed. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis to map the global research landscape, identify publication trends, key contributors, and thematic focuses. Bibliometric searches were conducted using Publish or Perish software on data from Crossref and Google Scholar. The search targeted the keyword title “Percutaneous coronary intervention VS Coronary Artery Bypass Graft” for publications from January 2020 to June 2025. After filtering and removing duplicates, 912 documents were analyzed using VOSviewer to visualize keyword co-occurrence, temporal overlays, and author collaboration. The analysis revealed “patient,” “PCI,” and “CABG” as the most dominant terms. Five thematic clusters emerged: (1) post-CABG complications; (2) PCI vs. CABG long-term outcomes; (3) stent technology and comorbidities; (4) acute conditions and mortality; and (5) complex prognostic and anatomical factors. Temporal visualization indicates a shift from broad procedural comparisons (2020–2021) to specific long-term outcome studies and population-specific research (2022 onward). Key author collaboration networks were also identified. The bibliometric landscape of PCI versus CABG research is mature yet evolving, with growing focus on patient-specific outcomes. Emerging hotspots include long-term results in subgroups and complex coronary anatomy, indicating a trend toward outcome-oriented and personalized approaches in coronary revascularization research

Abstract

Severe head trauma due to a traffic accident can trigger psychiatric disorders with varying post-injury onsets. Organic mental disorders can appear as secondary neuropsychiatric manifestations due to structural or functional damage to the brain, such as head trauma. This case describes patients without a history of underlying psychiatric and organic symptoms, as well as without a history of substance abuse. The patient experiences post-head trauma psychotic disorders. Patients in the case receive multidisciplinary treatment, from the psychiatric side in the form of atypical antipsychotic therapy and acetylcholinesterase inhibitors as well as social and family support. Psychotic symptoms that arise after trauma need to be recognized, treated, both pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically to help improve the patient's quality of life after trauma.
