An orphanage is a social institution that cares for children from underprivileged backgrounds in terms of family such as orphans, orphans and orphans and poor children. Orphanages are established to foster and educate and care for children so that they get a decent life both in terms of economy, social, and education for the future. Abstract

Economic growth is a major indicator of a country's progress, which is influenced by factors such as exports, imports, and population. This study aims to analyze the influence of these variables on economic growth in West Sumatra Province in the 2016-2020 period. This research offers a new approach by combining macro and micro factors to analyze GDP, export-import, and population at the regional level. The method used is multiple linear regression with secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results of the study show that exports have a negative but insignificant effect on economic growth, while imports have a positive influence that is also not significant. On the contrary, the number of people has been proven to have a positive and significant influence on economic growth. These results emphasize the importance of managing population and other economic sectors to support regional competitiveness. Abstract

This research discusses the phenomenon of disparity in court decisions against perpetrators of the crime of distributing drugs without a distribution permit in Indonesia. This disparity raises questions about equality and justice in the criminal justice system. This research departs from the differences in verdicts between two cases that have similar offenses, namely Decision Number 27/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Dmk and Decision Number 4/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Kln. Both cases involved offenders who distributed hard drugs without a distribution permit, but received significantly different criminal sentences. This study aims to determine the consideration of judges in imposing unequal criminal verdicts and what factors are the causes of the criminal act of distributing drugs without a distribution permit. Through a normative juridical approach, this study found that the main factors of disparity stemmed from the judges' interpretation of the severity of the offense, the amount of drugs distributed, and the social and economic conditions of the defendant. In one case, the defendant was sentenced to a heavier penalty because he was deemed to have earned more profit and circulated large quantities, while in another case, the defendant only received a lenient sanction because of small-scale circulation. This disparity reflects the lack of clear guidelines in sentencing and opens room for subjectivity in the judicial process. The theoretical basis used is Law Number 36 of 2009 as well as Decision Number 27/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Dmk and Decision Number 4/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Kln.The research confirms the need for harmonization in criminal decisions to reduce inequality and increase public confidence in the justice system. The proposed recommendation is the establishment of a more structured standard for judges in deciding cases related to the distribution of drugs without a distribution permit, in order to create more consistent and transparent justice.

Abstract

Escherichia coli can be pathogenic and will cause several diseases including diarrhea, urinary tract infections, meningitis in newborns and wound infections, especially in wounds in the abdomen. The daruju plant (Acanthus ilicifolius Linn.) is often used by the community, especially West Kalimantan, for energy recovery after childbirth, rheumatism medicine, abdominal pain medicine, hypertension, flatulence, ulcers and antidotes for snake venom. In previous studies, it was also found that daruju leaves (Acanthus ilicifolius Linn.) have antibacterial activity. The purpose of this study is to determine the antibacterial activity of Daruju leaf ethanol extract (Acanthus ilicifolius Linn.) in West Kalimantan against Escherchia coli. Phytochemical screening of ethanol extract from daruju leaves (Acanthus ilicifolius Linn.) was carried out by a qualitative method using several reagents. Test extracts were made in concentrations of 20 mg/mL, 30 mg/mL, 40 mg/mL, 50 mg/ml, and 60 mg/mL with ethanol as a solvent. The antibacterial activity test was carried out by the disc diffusion method and measured the bacterial growth inhibition zone. The results of this study stated that the ethanol extract of daruju leaves (Acanthus ilicifolius Linn.) contains secondary metabolites, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, steroids, and terpenoids. There were no inhibitory zones on the growth of Escherichia coli at all concentrations of the tested extracts. In conclusion, ethanol extract of daruju leaves (Acanthus ilicifolius Linn.) had no antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli at all concentrations of the tested extracts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see the influence of the role playing method on student learning outcomes. The research used is qualitative research with the type of experimental research with Pre-Exsperimental Design. The sample in this study is grade IV students of SD Inpres 48 Sorong Regency which totals 23 students. This study uses posttest and pretest test techniques. The data results obtained used the results of statistical descriptions of pretest and posttest. From the data analysis, the Shapiro wilk normality test was obtained, which was 0.231 for the pretest and 0.253 for the posttest. If the significant value > 0.05, the data is declared to be normally distributed. The results of the N-Gain test data showed that the percentage of the mean value of the N-Gain score was 0.539 and the value was in the range of 0.30<N-Gain<0.70, included in the medium value criteria. The results of the data of one t-test sample showed that the T value was 87,241 with df which was 22. From this explanation, the p-value is 0.001 < a(0.05), then HO is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the role playing method on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

In the midst of the dynamics of modern legal developments, the principle of notary independence is the key to maintaining the integrity of legal documents and preventing interventions that undermine the neutrality of the notary function. This study aims to analyze and identify the character of notary independence based on the Notary Position Law, as well as to examine the legal consequences arising from the non-fulfillment of the principle of independence in the implementation of notary duties. The method used is a juridical-normative approach through literature study and analysis of relevant legal documents, so that legal norms, doctrines, and the application of the principle of independence can be described systematically. The results of the study show that notaries have a vital role in ensuring the validity and authenticity of deeds through the application of the principle of independence enforced by legal regulations, while the inindependence of notaries can have serious legal impacts, such as administrative sanctions and criminal prosecutions, which have the potential to erode public trust. Overall, the study concludes that the principle of independence is an important foundation in the implementation of notary duties in a neutral and professional manner, so the enforcement of this principle must continue to be strengthened to maintain the integrity and public trust in notary institutions.
