Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed the transportation sector, including the emergence of app-based transportation services such as Grab. As one of the leading online transportation providers, Grab offers easy access, flexibility, and features designed to enhance user convenience. In Medan, this service is widely used by university students as a daily transportation alternative. However, students' perceptions of Grab's service quality vary, particularly regarding safety, comfort, punctuality, and ease of application use. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan students regarding Grab's transportation services based on these three main aspects. Using a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with student users. The findings indicate that students generally perceive Grab as a relatively safe and comfortable transportation service, supported by GPS features and driver identification systems that enhance user trust. However, challenges remain in the accuracy of estimated arrival times due to traffic conditions. Additionally, while the Grab app is considered user-friendly, technical issues such as network disruptions and fare surges during peak hours persist. Therefore, periodic service evaluations, improved accuracy in time estimation, and application network optimization are necessary to enhance the user experience.

Abstract

Herbal medicines, containing active plant ingredients, offer an accessible and affordable option as non-physical antifertility agents. Non-physical antifertility agents are substances or methods that prevent pregnancy without requiring physical intervention such as surgery or mechanical contraceptive devices. The research method was carried out by collecting data from ScienceDirect using the keywords "plant AND antifertility", in 2019-2024, 507 scientific articles were obtained. The scientific article used is a Research Article. Of the 75 journals, 9 journals were obtained that met inclusion. The results of this review show that plants that have the potential for developing herbal medicines as non-physical antifertility agents are Helichrysum caespititium, Bulbine frutescens, Teucrium trifidum, Cynodon dactylon, Tamarindus indica, Asparagus africanus, Carica papaya, Azadirachta indica, Adenopus breviflorus, Persicaria hydropiper (L.), and Moringa oleifera. The antifertility properties of some plants are associated with the presence of several phytoconstituent compounds that can inhibit implantation. The conclusion shows that there is great potential for the use of herbal ingredients as non-physical antifertility agents. Some plants and natural ingredients contain compounds that can interfere with the reproductive process. The implications of this review can be used as a reference for further research regarding herbal plants that have potential as non-physical antifertility agents.

Abstract

In the digital era, the adoption of technology and information systems is crucial to improve business performance, including in the MSME sector. This study analyzes the influence of the use of accounting information systems (SIA) and the use of information technology (IT) on the performance of MSMEs in the food and beverage processing sector. MSME (Y) performance is measured from financial statements, sales levels, targets, and profit growth. The utilization of SIA (X1) is assessed through financial planning, cash and inventory recording, quality of financial statements, decision-making, and internal controls, while IT usage (X2) is measured through hardware, software, databases, social media, and usage intensity. This study surveyed 92 MSMEs in Pallangga District using random sampling techniques. Data collection uses questionnaires and interviews, which are analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results showed that SIA and IT utilization significantly affected the performance of MSMEs (F = 59.535, p < 0.05). Partially, the use of SIA has a positive effect on the performance of MSMEs (p = 0.001), as well as the use of IT (p = 0.002). These findings highlight the role of digitalization and information systems in increasing the competitiveness and growth of MSMEs in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Social Media Marketing as a moderation variable on the influence of psychosocial support, health communication, information and education (KIE), and health facilities on pregnant women's decisions in choosing Antenatal Care (ANC) and childbirth services at Petukangan General Hospital. Psychosocial support, which includes emotional and social support from family and health workers, plays an important role in lowering anxiety and improving the comfort of pregnant women. In addition, an effective KIE is able to increase the understanding of mothers-to-be regarding the risks and available health care options. Health facilities at Petukangan Hospital, including medical equipment, hygiene, and comfort of the treatment room, are also important aspects that affect the preferences of pregnant women. This study found that Social Media Marketing has a significant role as a moderation variable. With the right utilization, social media can be an effective platform to disseminate information about the quality of hospital services and facilities, so that it can influence the decision of pregnant women. The results of the analysis showed that the combination of psychosocial support, good information and education, quality health facilities, and effective marketing through social media increased the tendency of pregnant women to choose Petukangan Hospital as the place of delivery. This study underscores the importance of the right social media marketing strategy in improving hospital competitiveness in the digital era. Recommendations are given for Petukangan Hospital to strengthen digital marketing strategies to maximize the positive influence on the decisions of potential patients, especially among pregnant women.
