Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi keliling dan luas segitiga melalui metode problem solving. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada SMPN 1 Batukliang Utara pada tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Subjek yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII sebanyak 23 orang siswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan dua LKS yang telah dikerjakan oleh siswa secara berkelompok dan kemudian dikonfirmasi melalui wawancara yang dilakukan oleh peneliti terhadap beberapa orang siswa perwakilan kelompok. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga tahapan dalam teknik menganalisis datanya, yaitu tahap reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari dua LKS yang dikerjakan siswa secara berkelompok, setiap kelompok berusaha untuk memahami masalah dengan membaca soal tersebut tanpa bersuara dan mengubah informasi dalam soal ke dalam bahasa yang sering digunakan oleh siswa. Setiap kelompok mampu menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan apa yang di tanyakan pada soal. Saat menetapkan jawaban sementara, setiap kelompok hanya mampu menyelesaikan masalah dengan satu cara yang hanya dipahami oleh masing-masing kelompok yaitu dengan menggunakan rumus keliling dan luas segitiga. Pada langkah pemeriksaan kembali dan penarikan kesimpulan, masih terdapat beberapa kelompok yang hanya melihat hasil atau jawaban yang didapatkan tanpa membuktikan kembali apakah jawaban yang didapatkan sudah benar atau tidak. Kata Kunci: kemampuan siswa; pemecahan masalah; keliling dan luas segitiga Students’ Problem Solving Ability in Perimeter and Area of Triangle Abstract This study aims to describe students' problem-solving abilities in the perimeter and the area of ​​the triangle through problem solving methods. The study was carried out at North Batukliang 1 Junior High School in the 2017/2018 school year. The subjects involved in this study were 23 grade VII students. Data was collected using two worksheets that had been done by students in groups and then confirmed through interviews conducted by researchers against several students representing the group. This study used three stages in the technique of analysing the data, namely the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that of the two worksheets that students worked in groups, each group tried to understand the problem by reading the questions without speaking and changing the information in the questions into the language that was often used by students. Each group is able to write down what is known and what is asked about the question. When setting a temporary answer, each group is only able to solve the problem in one way that is only understood by each group, using the perimeter and the area formula of ​​the triangle. In the re-examination steps and conclusions, there are only several groups that look back at the results/ answers have been obtained without proving whether the answers obtained are correct or not. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Terhadap Pemahaman Matematis Ditinjau Dari Kemampuan Awal Matematika. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan teknik analisis Anova dua jalur. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 32 orang untuk kelas eksperimen dan 31 orang untuk kelas kontrol di SMK Negeri 1 Pandeglang, dengan menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretest dan postest sehingga dapat dilihat perbedaan peningkatan pemahaman matematis dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran PBL lebih tinggi dari siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran ekspositori. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis diperoleh sig. 0,027 < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak , maka dapat disimpulkan peningkatan pemahaman matematis siswa yang mendapat model pembelajaran PBL lebih tinggi dari siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran ekspositori. Hasil uji Anova dua jalur faktor pembelajaran dan KAM menimbulkan adanya interaksi dengan sig.0,004 < 0,05 . Hal ini berarti interaksi yang sangat signifikan antara model pembelajaran dan KAM terhadap pemahaman matematis. Dari hasil uji-t untuk KAM tinggi diperoleh sig. 0,00 < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan untuk KAM rendah diperoleh sig. 0,647 > 0,05 maka H0 diterima. Dengan demikian pembelajaran matematika dengan model PBL dapat dijadikan suatu alternatif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman matematis siswa. Kata kunci: problem based learning, pemahaman matematis, kemampuan awal matematika Abstract The purpose of this paper is to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning Model on Mathematical Understanding viewed from Early Mathematics Ability (EMA). The writer used quantitative analysis method and two-way anova analysis. This paper use primary data, 32 people from experimental class and 31 people from control class in SMK negeri 1 Pandeglang was taken as a interviewees for our research sample using the quasi-experimental method. This study used a pretest and post-test design therefore it can be seen the differences in the increase of mathematical understanding ability from experimental class and control class. The result of this study indicate that students who had PBL learning have higher mathematical understanding ability than students who had expository learning. Based on the hypothesis test sig. 0.027<0.05 H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that the increase in mathematical understanding ability of students who had PBL learning models is higher than students who had expository learning. The test results with two ways ANOVA of learning factors and EMA generate an interactions with sig. 004 <0.05. This imply that there is a very significant interaction between the learning model and EMA on mathematical understanding skills. From the results of the t-test for high EMA is sig. 0.00 <0.05 H0 is rejected and for low EMA is sig. 0.647> 0.05 H0 is accepted. Therefore we can conclude that learning mathematics using the PBL model can become an alternative way to improve students mathematical understanding ability. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pembelajaran generatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan awal. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 6 Pandeglang, kelas XI yang berjumlah 9 kelas. Dengan teknik purposive sampling diperoleh kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalahThe nonequivalentpretest-postest control group design. Selama penelitian berlangsung kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran generatif sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Analisis data dilakukan terhadap rataan gain ternormalisasi antara dua kelompok sampel. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran generatif lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang mendapat model pembelajaran ekspositori; (2) Terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematis (KAM) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa; (3) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada siswa dengan KAM tinggi; (4) Tidak terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada siswa dengan KAM sedang dan rendah. Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, pembelajaran generatif, kemampuan awal matematika Abstract This study aims to look at the effect of generative learning to improve students' mathematical communication skills based on early mathematic abilities. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were students of SMAN 6 Pandeglang, class XI which numbered 9 classes. The purposive sampling technique was obtained in class XI IPA 4 as the control class and class XI IPA 5 as the experimental class. The research design used was The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. During the research, the experimental group was treated with generative learning models while the control class used the expository learning model. Data analysis was performed on normalized gain average between two sample groups. The results of this study are (1) Increased mathematical communication skills of students who are treated with a generative learning model higher than students who get an expository learning model; (2) There is an interaction between the learning model and early mathematic abilities (EMA) on improving students' mathematical communication skills; (3) There is an increase in mathematical communication skills in students with high EMA; (4) There is no increase in mathematical communication skills in students with moderate and low EMA. Abstract

Abstrak Pengembangan bahan ajar disesuaikan dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Menurut Branch (2009), pengembangan suatu produk berpusat kepada mahasiswa, salah satu strategi yang paling banyak dikenal untuk membantu mahasiswa memahami dan mengingat materi yang dibaca mahasiswa adalah Strategi PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite dan Review). Strategi ini membantu mahasiswa untuk menata informasinya secara bermakna, mengajukan, pertanyaan, merefleksi, dan mengulasnya. Langkah-langkah dalam strategi PQ4R dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam mengorganisasi teks, dan mengatur dirinya sendiri untuk memperoleh informasi lebih mendalam dengan elaborasi yang lebih luas. Sehingga mahasiswa lebih mandiri dalam belajar. Kemandirian dalam belajar diistilahkan dengan Self Regulated Learning. Model Pengembangan bahan ajar analisis real untuk memfasilitasi self regulated learning mahasiswa yaitu dengan model ADDIE. Tahapan ADDIE adalah (1) Analisis, (2) Perancangan, (3) Pengembangan, (4) Implementasi dan (5) Evaluasi. Kelayakan dan kualitas bahan ajar ditentukan dengan indikator valid, praktis, dan efektif. Validitas bahan ajar ditilik pada aspek materi dan desain bahan ajar, dan praktikalitas dilihat pada uji coba terbatas kepada 10 mahasiswa. Semua instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini divalidasi kepada 2 orang validator yang merupakan dosen pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Jambi. Hasil yang diperoleh, Instrumen sudah dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan. Sedangkan hasil pengembangan bahan ajar analisis real dinyatakan valid dan praktis. Kata Kunci: Analisis Real, Self Regulated Learning Abstract Development of teaching materials tailored to the characteristics and needs of students. According to Branch (2009), the development of a product centered on students, one of the most well-known strategies to help students understand and remember material read by students is the PQ4R Strategy (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite and Review). This strategy helps students to organize their information meaningfully, ask questions, reflect, and review it. The steps in the PQ4R strategy can help students organize the text, and organize themselves to obtain more in-depth information by means of broader elaboration. So that students will be more independent in learning. Independence in learning is termed Self Regulated Learning. Model Development of real analysis teaching materials to facilitate student self-regulated learning, namely the ADDIE model. ADDIE stages are (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation and (5) Evaluation. The quality of teaching materials is determined by valid, practical, and effective indicators. The validity of teaching materials is seen in the material aspects and design of teaching materials, and the practice seen in the trial is limited to 10 students and 1 lecturer. All instruments used in this study were validated to 2 validators who were lecturers in mathematics education FKIP Jambi University. The results obtained, the instrument has been declared eligible for use. While the results of developing real analysis teaching materials are declared valid and practical. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Palembang. Indikator pemahaman konsep penelitian ini adalah: (1)Menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep, (2)Mengklasifikasi objek-objek menurut sifat-sifat tertentu sesuai dengan konsepnya, (3)Mengidentifikasi dan membuat bentuk aljabar contoh dan bukan contoh, (4)Menggunakan, memanfaatkan dan memilih prosedur atau operasi tertentu, (5)Mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma pada pemecahan masalah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian Posttest Only Control. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik sample random sampling yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas kontrol pada kelas VII 5 dan kelas eksperimen pada kelas VII 3 dengan masing-masing kelas 20 siswa. Pada kelas kontrol diterapkan model pembelajaran konvensional dan kelas eksperimen diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t, hasil perhitungan diperoleh yaitu 2,6768 2,024 untuk α = 0,05, maka H0 ditolak. Sehingga diperolah bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Palembang tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa SMP pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel (SPLDV). Hal ini didasarikarena masih banyak siswa yang kurang memahami konsep SPLDV sehingga siswa merasa kesulitan dalam memecahkanmasalah matematis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes berupa soal uraian yang berjumlah 4 soal dan tiap soal mewakili masing – masing indikator kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Kemampuan pemahaman matematis pada indikator menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep, secara keseluruhan siswa dapat menjawab dengan benar sehingga mencapai tingkat pemahaman yang baik (2) Kemampuan pemahaman matematis pada indikatormengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma terhadap penyelesaian masalah, siswa dapat membentuk model matematika, kemudian melakukan perhitungan, namun adakesalahan dimana siswa belum mampumenginterpretasikan masalah yang di berikan dengan tepat. Kata kunci: kemampuan pemahaman matematis, siswa SMP, SPLDV. Abstract This study aims to describe the ability of mathematical understanding of junior high school students in the material system of two variable linear equations (SPLDV). This is based on the fact that there are still many students who do not understand the concept of SPLDV so students feel difficulties in solving mathematical problems. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were junior high school students. The data collection technique uses a test technique in the from of a description question which amounts to 4 questions and each questions represent each indicator of mathematical understanding. The result showed that (1) the ability of mathematical understanding on the indicator restated a concept, as a whole students could answer correctly so that they reached a good level of understanding (2) the ability of mathematical understanding of indicators applying concepts or algorithms to problem solving, students could form models mathematics, then do calculations, but there are errors where students have not been able to interpret the problem given correctly. Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini merupakan penelitian pengaruh minat belajar siswa terhadap aplikasi geogebra pada materi sistem persamaan liner dua variabel (SPLDV) di kelas X-A Madrasah Aliyah. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat minat belajar matematika siswa yang berada di MA Al Barry Cikalongwetan.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dan korelasional.Sejumlah 22 orang siswa kelas XI MA Al Barry Cikalongwetan digunakan sebagai sampelnya. Instrumen non tes yaitu kuisioner minat belajar yang diberikan sebanyak 20 butir pernyataan, yang terdiri dari 10 pernyataan positif dan 10 pernyataan negatif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh berdasarkan tes kuisioner yang dilakukan adalah bahwa minat belajar siswa terhadap aplikasi geogebra pada materi sistem persamaan liner dua variabel (SPLDV) di MA Al Barry Cikalongwetan tergolong sangat rendah. Kata kunci: Minat Belajar, Geogebra, SPLDV Abstract This article is a study of the influence of students' interest in learning on the application of geogebra in the material of two variable liner equations in class X-A High School Students. This study was conducted to determine the level of interest in mathematics learning of students at Al Barry High School in Cikalongwetan. This study uses survey and correlational methods. A total of 22 grade XI students at Al Barry Cikalongwetan High School were used as samples. The non-test instrument was a questionnaire of learning interest which was given as many as 20 statements, consisting of 10 positive statements and 10 negative statements. The results of the study obtained based on the questionnaire test conducted is that students' learning interest in the application of geogebra in the material system of two-variable linear equations in Al Barry High School in Cikalongwetan was very low. Abstract

Abstrak Matematika memiliki banyak nilai di dalamnya, namun dalam pembelajaran capaian yang diinginkan adalah penguasaan konsep materi bersifat teoritis yang belum menyentuh sisi kehidupan peserta didik. Media dan sarana belajar perlu mempertimbangkan lingkungan peserta didik serta kearifan lokal yang dapat mewarnai pembelajarannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul matematika dalam kerangka kajian budaya Jambi yang bermuatan budaya Jambi dan nilai karakter dalam Matematika atau sebaliknya. Untuk jangka panjang, budaya jambi dapat dilestarikan dan dikembangkan melalui dunia pendidikan. Pengambilan data pada penelitian di bidang pendidikan matematika ini menggunakan teknik data validasi ahli, observasi dan wawancara. Masing-masing teknik digunakan sebagai triangulasi data yang dihasilkan dari subjek budayawan dan guru matematika serta pembelajaran di sekolah. Studi referensi digunakan menentukan data tentang nilai-nilai yang telah terjadi pada waktu lampau hingga kini. Observasi digunakan untuk menentukan data dari produk budaya di Jambi. Wawancara digunakan untuk memastikan data yang telah diperoleh dari dua teknik sebelumnya. Analisis data dilakukan untuk menentukan keterkaitan antara nilai-nilai dalam matematika dan nilai-nilai karakter dalam budaya Jambi atau sebaliknya. Hasil pengembangan berupa modul yang praktis dan dapat digunakan pada subjek autis. Disamping itu, modul juga memberikan efek yang positif pada motivasi belajar peserta didik karena muatan budaya yang digunakan konten yang menarik untuk dipelajari. Media and learning facilities need to consider the environment of students and local wisdom that can color part of their learning. This development research aims to develop modules for mathematical material within the framework of Jambi cultural studies. The desired achievement is the availability of modules that contain Jambi culture and character values ​​in Mathematics or vice versa. Furthermore, for the long term, Jambi culture can be preserved and developed through the world of education. Retrieval of data in research in the field of mathematics education uses data techniques expert validation, observation and interviews. Each technique is used as a triangulation of data generated from the subject of culture and the teacher of mathematics and learning in school. Reference studies are used to determine data about values ​​that have occurred in the past until now. Observation was used to determine data from cultural products in Jambi. Whereas interviews are used to ascertain data that has been obtained from the two previous techniques. Data analysis was performed to determine the relationship between values ​​in mathematics and character values ​​in Jambi culture or vice versa. The results of the development are practical modules and can be used on autistic subjects. Besides that, the module also has a positive effect on students' learning motivation because of the cultural content used by interesting content to learn. Abstract

Abstract This research aims to improve the student’s learning achivements and motivation in learning analityc geometry of mathematic education’s students at Bung Hatta University by using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategy. This was a classroom action research with the research study was 38 of class A of mathematic education’s students who took a course of analityc geometry. The data was collected from quisioner student’s, field notes and final test. The data analysis was conducted in descriptive qualitative through data reduction, triangulation, and data display. Based on the research’s result can conclude that learning process by using CTL strategy can improve motivation and learning outcome in Field Analityc Geometry Class. The questioner of student’s learningmotivation showed that there are improving from 54,97 % on the cycle to 66,31 % on the cycle.The student’s learning result also improved from 24,32 % on the cycle to 70,27 % on the cycle. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop multimedia teaching materials based on PBL using 3D Professional Pageflip on geometry material, and determine the effectiveness of PBL-based multimedia teaching materials using 3D Professional Pageflip on geometry material. This research is a development research with the research process using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.Validation was carried out by material experts and media experts with individual test subjects, namely 2 mathematics teachers, small group trial subjects consisted of 6 students, and large group trials namely students of XIPA2 class of SMAN 5 Jambi City. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires for evaluating material experts and media experts, teacher and student responses questionnaires, student perception questionnaires and student learning outcomes tests.From the results of the post-test analysis conducted at the end of the learning activities obtained 90.32% of the students achieved the minimum completeness criteria, the results of the analysis of the student perception questionnaire showed the category of "very positive" besides based on observations of students' attitudes during the learning process positive and high enthusiasm in participating in learning activities. This means that multimedia teaching materials that are made effective are used for the learning process.
