Abstract

The research entitled improving students’ listening comprehension throughEnglish song in second grade of MTS Cijawura. The aim of this researchpaper is to investigate the improvement of students’ listening comprehensionthrough English song as a part of the learning process in the classroom. Thisresearch was an action research consisting of three cycles. The participants of this research were 32 students of second grade at MTS Cijawura in the academicyear of 2016/2017. The data obtained were qualitative and quantitative. Thequalitative data were gained by observation sheet, interview, and questionare. The quantitative data were gained from the listening test that were conducted before the implementations and after the implementation in cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III. The actions implemented in each cycle were using English song that enable the students to improve their listening comprehension. The research findings from the test in first cycle until third cycle that by using of English song, students’ could improve their listening comprehension. The means score from 53 in pretest, 63.4 in cycle I, 77.7 in cycle II, 83.4 in cycle III. There were some good improvements in some aspects such as their new vocabulary and motivation to learn English  more. Futhermore most of students give positive responses toward the use of English song in teaching listening comprehension.

Abstract

Anak-anak dan remaja pengguna gadget di Indonesia cukup tinggi. Untukmengurangi ketergantungan anak-anak dengan memberikan alternatif kegiatanyang juga memberikan pengaruh positif dalam pengembangan karakter anak.Resiko Petualangan atau bermain resiko di alam terbuka dapat dijadikan salahsatu pendidikan alternatif yang dapat memberikan gambaran kepada orang tuaatau tenaga pendidik untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran dan respek anak terhadapdirinya, orang lain dan lingkungan dan meningkatkan kreativitas berpikir anakusia dini. Hasil evaluasi pendidikan dan pelatihan Resiko Petualangan di alamterbuka adalah memberikan sebuah pendidikan alternatif dalam pengembangankarakter yang dapat dikembangkan di sekolah sekolah atau kelompok bermain.Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat dikembangkan dan dijadikan solusi pemecahanmasalah bagi anak-anak yang mengalami ketergantungan terhadap gadget.Diharapkan guru-guru dapat membuat kegiatan yang sifatnya kognitif tetapimengembangkan sisi afektif dan psikomotorik anak-anak.

Abstract

Gurindam 12 is an old poem written and originated from the island of Penyengat,Riau Islands. Gurindam is made by a writer named Raja Ali Haji. Gurindamcontains a simple and rhythmic sentence. The presentation of Gurindam 12 isdone through poetry. Gurindam contains about life advice or instructions aboutworship, the obligation of children to parents, the task of parents to children,Character and social life. Gurindam is preserved and archived in Tanjungpinangcity. In addition, various ways are also done by people in the city of Tanjungpinang to maintain the existence of Gurindam 12. Therefore, the study was conducted in Tanjungpinang city. Furthermore, Gurindam 12 is the Traditional Communication Media used by Malays in Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands. This research intends to explain how this Gurindam can be made CommunicationMedia for Malay society. In this study, research method used is the method ofCommunication Ethnography with Constructivist paradigm. Then, the dataobtained through the results of in-depth interview with a humanist, the winnerof Gurindam race 12, high school students and junior high school students. Inaddition, other data were obtained through participant observation. The data istested by using triangulation data. Then the data results are analyzed by using data reduction, the presentation of data is made in the form of description. The result of this research is that Gurindam 12 is an important communication media in Malay society because Gurindam is an old poem that is preserved. Gurindam 12 in the Malay is Traditional Communication Form Gurindam 12 is the Sound of Poems which is the sound or tone, created to support the message delivered Gurindam. Gurindam is also a Traditional Communication Media because the content of Gurindam is hereditary advice that can be used as a life guide. Gurindam 12 is a culture that must be preserved for its sustainability in Malay society.

Abstract

Setiap anak memiliki hak untuk memperoleh pendidikan, baik bagi anaknormal maupun anak yang mengalami kelainan atau berkebutuhan khusus.Pelayanan pendidikan bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus dewasa ini mengalamikemajuan yang baik. Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) memperolehkesempatan yang lebih luas dalam memperoleh layanan pendidikan. Terutamapada anak tunagrahita yang mempunyai kemampuan sangat terbatas, terutamadari segi intelektualnya. Oleh karena itu dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan, anaktunagrahita dididik, dibimbing dan diasuh secara khusus agar anak dapatmengembangkan kecakapan dan keterampilan secara maksimal, yaitu terutamaketerampilan dalam hal membaca. Dengan tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahuikemampuan membaca teknis pada anak tunagrahita ringan kelas XI di SLBMadina Kota Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif denganpendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari satu orang guru dan tigaorang anak tunagrahita ringan kelas XI di SLB Madina Kota Serang. Teknikpengumpulan data dilakukan melalui proses observasi, wawancara, studidokumentasi dan semiloka. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuanmembaca teknis pada anak tunagrahita ringan kelas XI di SLB Madina Kota Serang sangat terbatas, ini terlihat dari perbendaharaan kata yang dimilikinyadan kemampuan menggunakan keterampilan berbahasa seperti menyimak,berbicara, membaca dan menulis. Maka dengan itu perlu adanya langkahyang sistematis untuk memperoleh data/informasi tentang seorang anak untukmengetahui kondisi atau kebutuhana anak yaitu dengan melakukan asesmen.Sebelum merencanakan strategi pembelajaran dilakukan asesmen terlebihdahulu untuk menyesuaikan materi pembelajaran dengan kebutuhan anak agar tercapai tujuan pembelajaran sesuai yang diharapkan.

Abstract

Viewers and fans of the Budi Dalton Ngobat program cross cultural boundaries and linguistic diversity, but Budi Dalton chooses his own style of language that reflects his Sundanese dialect or accent. The communication style used by Budi Dalton as a presenter aims to make the communication message digestible by the audience. Inequality in the perception of the village towards a dialect or accent in Indonesia still occurs due to the role of the media which tends to favor certain dialects or accents. Submission of important messages even containing high information value can be conveyed in their respective language styles, depending on institutional agreements and individuals involved in communication.
