Abstract

PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) sebagai salah satu Badan Usaha Milik Negara yang bergerak pada bidang kepelabuhanan ini memiliki permasalahan internal perusahaan yaitu Direktur Utama Richard Joost Lino yang terdakwa sebagai tersangka kasus korupsi mobile crane Pelindo II. Krisis mulai menjadi ancaman citra perusahaan maupun anak perusahaannya, PT. Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, yaitu sejak pemberitaan permasalahan ini tersebar luas di media cetak maupun elektronik pada bulan Agustus 2015 mengenai penggeledahan kantor Direktur Utama Pelindo II oleh Penyidik Bareskrim Polri. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik in-depth interview, observasi langsung penelitian di PT. Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok dan juga didukung oleh data dokumentasi dari perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi media relations PT. Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok dalam menanggapi krisis yang dihadapi oleh holding company. Berdasarkan hasil pengelolahan data, maka dapat diketahui bahwa kaitan antara kegiatan humas anak peruaahaan dengan holding company yaitu saling mendukung dan membantu segala kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh humas holding company. Namun, pada saat terjadi krisis, humas PT. Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok tidak ikut berkontribusi banyak dalam penanganan krisis melainkan hanya membantu dalam penyebaran informasi yang positif dan benar kepada media cetak maupun elektronik. DOI: 10.24198/jkk.vol4n2.10

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Citra Kawasan Strategis Nasional (KSN) Cekungan Bandung Melalui Instagram (Studi Deskriptif pada Pengguna Hashtag #explorebandung). Alasan mengambil judul tersebut karena penggunaan hashtag #explorebandung yang sudah mencapai jutaan foto dengan keterkaitannya pada citra KSN Cekungan Bandung itu sendiri. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada citra KSN Cekungan Bandung melalui perspektif pengguna hashtag #explorebandung di Instagram. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan citra KSN Cekungan Bandung dari sisi pengguna hashtag #explorebandung, dengan menggunakan ragam informan, baik itu warga asli Bandung ataupun wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data model Miles dan Huberman. Dapat disimpulkan berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa citra KSN Cekungan Bandung dilihat dari sudut pandang pengguna hashtag #explorebandung ialah bagus dan positif. Selain itu, bentuk kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh pengguna hashtag #explorebandung dalam keterkaitannya akan citra KSN Cekungan Bandung adalah dengan mengikuti kegiatan Worldwide Instameet (WWIM) yang diselenggarakan oleh komunitas Explorebandung.DOI: 10.24198/jkk.vol4n2.6

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kehadiran internet pada saat ini telah menjadi sebuah media baru dalam praktik komunikasi. Praktisi public relations-pun tak segan menjadikan internet sebagai media utama mereka dalam menyebarkan informasi. Melalui media internet inilah suatu bentuk public relations baru terbentuk, yang disebut dengan cyber public relations. Penelitian ini membahas aktivitas cyber public relations akun Instagram @ceritapadang dalam mempertahankan brand image wisata Minangkabau. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kegiatan kegiatan cyber public relation yang dilakukan oleh akun Instagram @ceritapadang dalam mempertahankan brand image wisata Minangkabau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas cyber public relations yang dilakukan oleh akun Instagram @ceritapadang dalam mempertahankan brand image wisata Minangkabau terbilang cukup potensial karena dalam umurnya yang baru satu tahun, akun ini mampu menyedot perhatian masyarakat lebih dari 68.000 orang. Aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh akun Instagram ini meliputi tiga kegiatan publikasi, yaitu scheduling, posting foto atau video ke akun Instagram @ceritapadang, monitoring, dan 1 kegiatan media relations, yaitu respon komentar followers. Abstract

Bandung is one of the world's tourism city has been established on 25 September 2013 in Beijing by UNESCO. To meet one of the index in order to become a tourism city of the world, in it there is an aspect of city tour. Therefore, the Government of the Bandung city to make innovation a new city tour bus named Bandung Tour On a Bus or a usually called Bandros. The theory used in this research is city branding (Anholt 2006) and a communication strategy (Arifin in Abdullah, 2009). To uncover these issues, this research uses qualitative research types that serve to gain a deeper understanding of common, overarching performance management against the bus bandros in the developing city of Bandung city branding through document that is descriptive, and use case studies to his approach with the aim of helping the audience understand what is being researched, a new interpretation, a new perspective, a new meaning.The results of this study expressed that bus bandros a pioneer of other cities in Indonesia in making city tour bus. Bus bandros can make the public curious about this transportation with the concept of the double decker. Communication strategy undertaken by the Organizer i.e. BP2KB is using social media twitter and instagram to spread information about reservations and schedule of activities. In addition, using whatsapp to be able to communicate with the passengers bus bandros.Starting from dotted this research, some suggestions that may be put forward for the tourism promotion agency of the city of Bandung, maximize media communication and in the dissemination of information. Social media is also better if managed by people who understand in their jobs. In addition, the community that the ascending bus bandros should be able to maintain existing public facilities and carry out all its activities in accordance with existing procedures.  Keyword: City Branding, City Tour Bus, Communication Strategy.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKritik sosial adalah salah satu bentuk komunikasi dalam masyarakat yang bertujuan atau berfungsi sebagai kontrol terhadap jalannya sebuah sistem atau proses masyarakat. Salah satu channel youtube yang bernama Remotivi mengunggah salah satu video yang berjudul “Tv, Jasamu Tiada…”. Video ini berangkat dari kekecewaan masyarakat terhadap tayangan televisi saat ini. Peneliti ingin meneliti bagaimanakah bentuk kritik sosial yang disampaikan oleh video tersebut dengan menggunakan analisis semiotika dari John Fiske. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis semiotika.  Paradigma yang digunakan adalah kritis dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kajian dokumentasi dengan menganalisa langsung melalui tayangan video youtube “Tv, Jasamu Tiada…”. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan teori yang dikemukakan oleh John Fiske tentang “The Codes Of Television”. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa: petama, level realitas terdapat dua bidang kritik sosial yang dikritiki yaitu  ditujukan kepada dunia pertelevisian dan dunia pendidikan. Kedua, pada level representasi hal yang paling terlihat adalah pada bagian lirik lagu, serta teknik pengambilan gambar. Ketiga, level ideologi terdapat dua jenis yaitu ideologi kapitalisme untuk pihak televisi yang menyajikan tayangan dan ideologi kepatuhan untuk anak-anak yang menonton tayangan tersebut. Kata Kunci :  Kritik Sosial, Semiotika John Fiske, Video Youtube “Tv, Jasamu Tiada…”.  ABSTRACTSocial criticism is a form of communication in a society that aims or functioning as the control over the operations of a system or community processes. One Youtube channel named Remotivi uploaded one video titled "Tv, Jasamu Tiada...". This video goes from the disappointment of communities against the today’s tv footage. Researchers want to examine how form of social criticism presented by the video using semiotics analysis of John Fiske. This research used qualitative descriptive approach with a semiotics analysis. The techniques of data collection using the study documentation by analyze directly thr          ough the Youtube video of "Tv, Jasamu Tiada...". Data analysis techniques used in this research was conducted based on the theory by John Fiske about "The Codes of Television". The results of this research reveal that: first, on the reality level; there are two areas of social criticism that are being criticized, which dedicated to the world of television and the world of education. Second, on the level of representation, the most visible thing is on the part of the lyrics, as well as the shooting technique. Third, there are two types of ideological level, namely the ideology of capitalism for the television that serves display and ideological adherence to children who watch the footage. Keywords: Social Criticism, Semiotics John Fiske, A Youtube Video "Tv, Jasamu Tiada...".

Abstract

Abstrak Komunikasi persuasif merupakan bagian yang berperan penting dalam jalannya sebuah komunitas. Komunitas tidak akan bertahan jika anggota didalamnya tidak mempertahankan loyalitas yang menjadi bentuk kontribusi anggota kepada komunitas. Untuk mempertahankan loyalitas anggota komunitas, dibutuhkan upaya dalam melibatkan hubungan antara berbagai unsur komunikasi persuasif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas mengenai komunikasi persuasif dalam mempertahankan relawan komunitas sosial Sebung Bandung. Komunitas yang sudah berjalan selama 3 tahun ini, memiliki metode komunikasi persuasif dalam upaya mempertahankan relawan, yang secara rutin menggerakan aksi berbagi sebungkus nasi kepada tuna wisma dan kaum duafa. Lima teknik dalam metode komunikasi persuasif yang dilakukan pengurus Sebung Bandung terhadap relawannya yaitu rational persuasion, consultation tactics, ingratiation tactics, personal appeals tactics, dan exchange tactics. Penelitian ini menerapkan teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan dengan tujuh narasumber yaitu satu informan kunci, lima informan utama, dan satu informan ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kelima teknik komunikasi persuasif diterapkan kepada seluruh rangkaian kegiatan mingguan Sebung yaitu briefing, turun ke jalan, sharing session, dan acara bebas, yang membentuk sense of community pada relawan komunitas, sehingga timbul keinginan untuk berpartisipasi dalam setiap kegiatan Sebung Bandung. Pada akhirnya terbentuklah loyalitas relawan yang ditunjukan oleh keinginan relawan untuk bertahan dalam komunitas Sebung Bandung.Kata-kata kunci: Komunikasi; Komunitas; Loyalitas; Persuasif; Relawan Abstract Persuasive communication is a part that plays an important role in the course of a community. The community will not survive if the members do not maintain loyalty which is a form of member contribution to the community. To maintain the loyalty of community members, efforts are needed in engaging relationships among various elements of persuasive communication. This study aims to discuss persuasive communication in maintaining social community volunteers in Sebung Bandung. The community, which has been running for 3 years, has persuasive communication methods in its efforts to retain volunteers; it routinely mobilizes the sharing of a packet of rice to the homeless and the poor. The five techniques in the persuasive communication methods carried out by Sebung Bandung's management of volunteers are rational persuasion, consultation tactics, ingratiation tactics, personal appeals tactics, and exchange tactics. This study applies data collection techniques namely participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with seven sources, namely one key informant, five key informants, and one expert informant. The results showed that the five persuasive communication techniques were applied to the entire series of Sebung's weekly activities, namely briefings, going to the streets, sharing sessions, and free events, which formed a sense of community in community volunteers, thus arising a desire to participate in every Sebung Bandung activity. In the end, volunteer loyalty was formed, which was shown by volunteers' desire to stay in the Sebung Bandung community.Keywords: Communication; Community; Loyalty; Persuasive; Volunteer

Abstract

This study titled “Crisis Management Public Relations of PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek on Handling KRL Cross Accident September 2015” the problem of the research is the management crisis, crisis management strategy efforts to crisis, the role when crisis that is enforceable by the division of Public Relations PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) in resolving the crisis accident of 2 KRL at Juanda Station. This research uses the Gonzales-Herero and Pratt crises method management who analogous a crisis like the stages of life.This research used qualitative case study research accompanied by descriptive exposure. The data was obtained through direct observation, interviews and literature studies, while the informants in this research was Assistant Communication Manager PT KCJ and Public Relations Manager of the Central Bank Republic of Indonesia West Java Province as the source triangulation.The results of this study shows that crisis management conducted by PT KCJ has been carried out starting from the victims evacuation, evacuation of the damaged wagon train, the recovery location of the accident, to the process of health settlement costs for the victims of accident.  Keywords: Crisis Management, KRL Cross Accident, PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek, Public Relations, Gonzales-Herero and Pratt Method

Abstract

This study is entitled "Cyber Corporate Social Responsibility Communication (Analysis of Global Reporting Initiative Reporting Guidelines on the Official Website of PT. Mayora Indah, Tbk). This study aims to determine the form of message content and the appropriateness of the Global Reporting Initiative reporting. The importance of Corporate Social Responsibility communication that is managed extensively to create a reputation and maintain long-term corporate sustainability. The development of cyber information technology makes it easier for stakeholders to gain access to Corporate Social Responsibility communication, one of which is by utilizing official websites as accurate Corporate Social Responsibility information. During a pandemic like this, websites are considered increasingly important for a company. Having a website means the company is starting to position itself to be more advanced and professional to give an impression to the stakeholders. In the midst of lifestyle #dirumahaja marketing through online sites and digital branding must be a choice for stakeholders. The excellence of the interactive website makes the platform utilized as a Corporate Social Responsibility communication medium that has been actualized by many companies in Indonesia, one of which is the company PT. Abstract

Simbol atau lambang adalah suatu tanda untuk menunjuk sesuatu berdasarkan kesepakatan bersama. Penelitian ini membahas penggunaan simbol yang berupa emotikon untuk menjelaskan hal-hal yang tidak terwakili karena keterbatasan nada, suara, dan ekspresi yang belum terwakili. Penelitian ini menggunakan semiotika Pierce yang menganalisis emotikon yang ada pada komunitas Kaskus. Penelitian ini menunjukkan emotikon Kaskus memiliki makna untuk menekankan ekspresi, mempertegas emosi, bentuk apresiasi positif, reputasi, sindiran, metafora, serta stereotip. Selain itu, emotikon yang terdapat pada komunitas Kaskus sangat bervariatif dan menampilkan semangat anak muda yang diwakili atribut seperti warna mencolok serta gambar kreatif. Kata kunci: emotikon, Kaskus, komunitas, makna, simbol A symbol or an emblem is a sign to point at something based on mutual agreement. This study discusses the use of symbols such as emoticons to explain things that are not represented due to the limitations of tone, voice, and expressions. This study analyzes emoticons used in the Kaskus community by using Pierce's semiotics. This study suggests that Kaskus' emoticons have some meanings to emphasize expressions, reinforce emotions, indicate positive appreciations, reputation, satires, metaphors, and stereotypes. In addition, emoticons used in Kaskus community are highly varied and show the spirit of young people, represented by attributes such as bright colors and creative images.
