Sastra Terapan, mencakup kajian mengenai pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa fiksi, pembelajaran drama, dan kajian sastra terapan lainnya.

<![CDATA[Sociology of literature is a research that examines the relationship of literary works with humans in society and their social processes. The novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata contains many elements of sociology of literature, especially social and cultural values. The problems in this study are (1) what are the social values contained in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata?, (2) what are the cultural values in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata?. The purpose of this study is to describe, analyze, and conclude the social and cultural values contained in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. The theory used in this study is the theory of Sikana (1986), Zubaedi (2009), Koentjaraningrat (2009) and other theories that support this research. The data source is the entire contents of the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with the type of library research. The method used is descriptive method. The data collection technique used is hermeneutic technique. The results of the research on social and cultural values in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata contained 22 data, consisting of social values, namely (1) loves (affection) there were 9 data such as help, dedication, kinship, loyalty, and caring, (2 ) responsibility (responsibility) there is 1 data such as a sense of empathy, (3) life harmony (harmony of life) there are 2 data such as cooperation and discipline. Cultural values contained in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata, namely language there are 2 data such as expressions and greeting words, living equipment systems and technology there are 2 data such as means of transportation, livelihood systems there are 4 data such as traders, drivers and fishermen, religious systems There are 2 data such as praying and belief.]]>

<![CDATA[The research entitled "Development of Written Test Assessment Instruments on Reading Comprehension Materials (Folk Story Texts) at MAN 1 Pekanbaru". The purpose of the study was to determine the development process, validity, and reliability of the written test assessment instrument on reading comprehension materials for folklore texts at MAN 1 Pekanbaru. This type of research is research and development (R&D) or research and development that aims to produce an assessment product that is used to assess the written test task of reading students' understanding that meets the criteria of validity and reliability. The instrument development used Sugiyono's research and development model which was modified into 8 steps. Sources of research data are Indonesian language subject educators at MAN 1 Pekanbaru and students of class X IPA 1 and IPA 2. Data collection techniques are using test techniques and non-test techniques (interviews, document analysis, questionnaires). The results of the study said that the development stage of the written test assessment instrument on the reading comprehension material of folklore texts started from: (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design revision. , (6) trial, (7) product revision, and (8) final product. While the results of the validity of the student questions, totaling 30 questions, it can be seen that there are 2 questions that cannot be used or discarded. While the reliability of the written reading comprehension test assessment instrument shows that, (1) The literal reading comprehension type has a very high correlation coefficient level with an average of 0.842, (2) The interpretation reading comprehension type has a very high correlation with an average of 0.834 (3 ) the type of critical reading comprehension has a high correlation coefficient with an average of 0.677, (4) and the type of reading comprehension application obtains an average of 0.716 with a high correlation coefficient. So that it can be seen that students have good abilities in working on questions on reading comprehension materials of folklore texts]]>

<![CDATA[This research was motivated by the ability of Class VII students in listening to fantasy story texts to find intrinsic elements from fairy tales that were read and listened to at MTs Ikhlasiyah Rokan Hilir. The 2013 curriculum includes text-based learning. This means that students are required to be able to produce a text through writing and listening skills. One of the various types of texts is fantasy story text. Fantasy story is a form of imaginary story or author fantasy that does not occur in the real world. This study aims to analyze the listening ability of seventh grade students to find the intrinsic elements of the fairy tales that are heard at MTs Ikhlasiyah from the text of fantasy stories that are read and listened to. This research is a quantitative research. This study uses a saturated sample, that is, all of the population is used as a sample and is also known as a census. All populations were sampled in the study, namely 32 students of class VII MTs Ikhlasiyah Rokan Hilir. The data analysis technique used by the researcher in this study is as follows: to examine the test results. The answer to the objective choice questions is only one correct answer. Each correct answer gets a value of 1 and the number of correct answers is added up and divided by the total number of questions (20), then multiplied by one hundred, then the student's ability to identify the intrinsic element of each individual student is obtained. From the findings of this study, it was concluded that the short story listening skills of class VII students at MTs Ikhlasiyah Rokan Hilir were in the sufficient category, with a percentage of 60.20%. The highest average of students' listening skills based on the intrinsic elements of fantasy story texts is the character/characterization element with an average value of 71.48, and the second highest is the background element with an average value of 70.31. This shows that most of the students' listening skills are in the sufficient or moderate category and the lowest student listening category is found, especially on the intrinsic elements of language style with an average value of 23.44.]]>

<![CDATA[The problems studied in this research are linguistic factors and non-linguistic factors in Ustadz Hanan Attaki's lecture. The research method is descriptive qualitative. The data analysis technique used is to reduce the presentation of the data and draw conclusions. On the linguistic factor in Ustad Hanan Attaki's da'wah on the aspect of pronunciation accuracy, Ustadz Hanan Attaki articulates language signs effectively. Placement of stress, placing language pressure properly and appropriately. The accuracy of pressure, tone, joints and duration have become the main attraction of Ustadz Hanan Attaki's da'wah in delivering his da'wah which is quite an expression. In the choice of words, in addition to using the official language in accordance with the EYD, also using an unofficial language. The accuracy of the target of the conversation is effective in the application of sentences in carrying out a communication. Non-linguistic factors in the aspect of a reasonable, calm and not rigid attitude that Ustadz Hanan Attaki's expression appears in a normal body posture. In the aspect of loudness, adjusting the number of worshipers with the loudspeakers used, this is evidenced by adjusting the response of the congregation to the things conveyed by Ustadz Hanan Attaki. The aspect of fluency, has been very smooth and very mastered the atmosphere of da'wah. it's just that in preaching, sounds like /e/, /anu/, /em/ are still inserted.]]>

<![CDATA[The focus of the problem in this research is the semiotic study of the icon, index, and symbol aspects in the Best Gift Novel by J.S Khairen. This research belongs to the type of library research with a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. The data of this research is obtained from the quotes, narratives, monologues, and dialogues of the characters in the novel Kado Best by J.S Khairen which contains the semiotic aspects of icons, indexes and symbols. The results of data analysis in this study, namely first, the icon aspects contained in the novel Kado Best by J.S Khairen showed a relationship between the signs in the reference that were similar or scientific in nature. The icon aspect is marked on the character “I” as a marker referring to the character Rizki; second, the semiotics of the index aspect contained in the novel Kado Best by J.S Khairen shows a causal relationship (cause and effect) between the signifier and the signified. The data is dominant in statements that describe the actions and behavior of the characters described in the novel Kado Best, such as the actions of the characters who have causes and effects, either naturally or by violence; and third, the semiotics of the symbol aspects contained in J.S Khairen's novel Best Gifts are convention, the symbolic aspects of J.S Khairen's Best Gifts novels are related to everyday human life. <![CDATA[This research focuses on the study of social aspects of feminism which includes the process of socialization, social tasks and social class. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach and belongs to the type of library research. The data in this study are phrases, clauses, words and paragraphs that contain social aspects of feminism. The results of the data analysis in this study indicate that first in the novel A Pair of Luka that Ends Grief by Ameylia Falensia there is a socialization process that occurs in female characters when interacting with other characters in the novel. The author provides an overview of the socialization process when the female character establishes social relationships with other characters and the impact of the socialization process she goes through on her. The socialization process is found in the Lengkara figure; second, the author describes the social duties of the female character in this novel based on the duties of a woman as a child, wife, mother, housemaid and grandmother. The social task of women is seen from the role of women in their lives. Social tasks are found in the figures of Nina, Afni, Lengkara and Prima; and third, social class is described as a certain position that has a female figure in society. Social class is divided into lower, middle and upper classes. The determination of social class in this novel is divided on the basis of gender, type of work, wealth, level of education and social literature in society. The social class of women in this novel is found in the characters Nilam, Lengkara and Bibi.]]>

<![CDATA[Writing narrative texts has been taught in odd semesters at class VII SMPN 25 Pekanbaru. Writing narrative text is very important in developing students' imagination. Every student who has a different spirit of composing, students are expected to be able to develop it in the form of written narrative text or fantasy stories in accordance with KD 4.4 Presenting creative ideas in the form of fantasy stories orally and in writing taking into account the structure and use of language. This research belongs to the type of quantitative research with descriptive methods. Based on the results and discussion of research on the ability to write narrative texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru for the 2021/2022 Academic Year, it can be concluded that the average ability to write narrative texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru for the 2021/2022 Academic Year seen from the text structure = 76.3 Then the Ability to Write Narrative Texts of Class VII Students of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru Judging from the Text Structure is in the Good Category; and the average ability to write narrative texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru for the Academic Year 2021/2022 seen from the use of language = 83.5, the ability to write narrative texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru seen from the use of language categories is in a good category.]]>

<![CDATA[Writing news with the application of the 5W+1H elements is the main requirement that must be applied to get good and appropriate news writing, as can be seen from the phenomena that there are still some errors in news writing in the application of the 5W+1H elements in student internship reports. The purpose of this study is to describe, analyze and interpret the analysis of news elements in terms of what and where application in the student intern reports on the Radar Riau daily newspaper. The theory used is the 5W+1H formula in Djuraid's 2012 and Chaer's 2010 books. This type of qualitative research and literature with this research method is content analysis or content analysis. The source of the data in this study was the student intern report in the Radar Riau daily newspaper. The results of this research are reports of Internship Students at the Radar Riau Public Daily Newspaper that have applied the what formula in news writing, and the way of writing and applying it is correct according to the existing theory, namely what happened, lies in the news title. Reports of Internship Students at the Radar Riau General Daily Newspaper, there are still some perfectly clear implementations of the where formula in news writing, namely 6 data is quite good and clear, and 6 other data is still incomplete. Writing news elements where and its application is not completely correct according to theory, namely the place of occurrence or events.]]>

<![CDATA[In a collection of Riau folklore, the author found that there is context in the form of setting, participants, results, mandate, methods, means, norms, and types in each story so that it makes the story interesting to read. The problem examined in this study is how is the context of the discourse in the Riau folklore book published by the Riau Province Education and Culture Office? This study aims to describe, analyze, and conclude the elements of the discourse context in Riau folklore books published by the Riau Province Education and Culture Office. The theory used in this study is the theory of Djajasudarma (2012), Darma (2014) and other supporting theories. The method in this study used descriptive methods, the approach used in this study was qualitative research and the type of research used was library research. Data collection techniques used are documentation techniques, hermeneutic techniques, and note-taking techniques. The results of this study found eight elements of the discourse context, namely elements (1) Setting and scene (2) Participants (3) Results (ends) (4) Message (5) Method (key) (6) Means (instrument) (7) Norms (norms) (8) Type (genre). Based on the analysis of the discourse context, it can be concluded that the data in the collection of Riau folklore books totals 222 data and all of these contextual data are the most important elements in building the story.]]>

<![CDATA[The first moral action is based on the human heart itself. If the heart is dissatisfied with what it has, it will do what is right or what is wrong. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, which is a research procedure with the results of presenting descriptive data in the form of the author's speech in the novel Small Letters for God. Based on the results of the discussion in this study, it can be concluded that the aspect of responsibility towards himself can be seen from the main character, namely Keke who is responsible for carrying out his duties both regarding education and regarding responsibility for his recovery. The aspect listed in moral values is conscience. One of the characteristics of moral values is that only these values give rise to a "voice" from the conscience that accuses us of belittling or opposing moral values and praises us for embodying moral values. In the novel Little Letters to God by Agnes Davonar, there are many moral values, namely the character Keke who feels homesick for her mother figure, and Keke who has a strong curiosity about her illness. In the novel Little Letters to God by Agnes Davonar, there is a moral value of obligation to the characters Keke and Pak Jody's shop. The moral value related to obligations is that obligations towards ourselves should not be understood as obligations solely towards ourselves, but also an obligation to carry out worship. In the small surak for god novel there are two characters that contain a moral value of obligation, namely the characters Keke and Pak Jody.]]>
