Abstract

One form of alternative assessment needed in 21st century learning is authentic assessment. Authentic assessment is an assessment carried out comprehensively to assess starting from the input, process, and output of learning, which includes the domains of attitudes, knowledge, and skills (Wiggens, 1989). Authentic assessments must reflect real-world problems, not the school world. Authentic assessment does not only measure what students know, but emphasizes measuring what students can do. Based on the results of initial observations, it can be explained the problems commonly found related to the use of instruments in learning Indonesian in junior high schools. First, teachers rarely conduct diagnostic tests on students' initial abilities in mastering narrative text material. Second, the teacher still uses traditional text forms in the form of objective questions and does not use authentic material so that students' critical and creative power are low. Third, the lack of debriefing for teachers regarding the application of authentic assessments based on folklore for Indonesian language lessons in junior high schools. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct training and design an authentic assessment based on local wisdom of Malay folklore in Indonesian language learning at SMPN 2 Dumai.

Abstract

The background to the implementation of this service is that the assessment of reading literacy competence is one of the assessments carried out by schools and the government in mapping the overall quality of students in the aspect of reading literacy. Therefore, students need to get reading literacy questions as their provision and experience to face the assessment. Teachers as the frontline in training and teaching students must also have the competence to make reading literacy questions based on AKM. Initial information was obtained by the teacher's obstacles in making reading literacy questions based on AKM. These constraints are 1. Setting an interesting stimulus and according to the student's level. 2. Create a question model that is in accordance with the AKM level. 3. Make a form of complex multiple choice questions. 4. determine the assessment criteria of each form of questions. 5. Determine the question indicators. These constraints become a reference and basis for giving workshops to participants. The results of PKM activities can be concluded that activities can provide experience to participants in making AKM-based reading literacy questions. Participants or teachers are very happy to get the training. As a result, it is expected that teachers can expand and create reading literacy questions that require critical thinking skills. Furthermore, it is hoped that all participants can inspire other teachers in their respective schools.

Abstract

Semiotics is a science that systematically studies signs which are grouped into three types, namely icons, indexes and symbols. This study aims to identify and analyze the icons, indices and symbols, markers and the relationship of the signifiers contained in the novel Bidadari Berklik by Asma Nadia. The research problems are (1) how is the semiotics of the iconic aspects in the novel Bidadari Berbisaan by Asma Nadia? (2) how is the semiotics of the index aspect in the novel Bidadari Whispering by Asma Nadi? (3) how is the semiotics of the symbol aspect in the novel Bidadari Berklik by Asma Nadia?. The approach in this study uses a qualitative approach. The type of language and literature research is the type of library study. The research method used is content analysis method. The technique of collecting research data uses hermeneutic techniques, namely reading techniques. The theory used in this research is the theory of semiotics, icons, indexes, and symbols proposed by Emzir and Rohman (2015), Danesi (2010), Pradopo (2012), Santoso (2013). The data collection technique in this research uses hermeniutic technique. Data analysis techniques with content analysis, classifying, analyzing and concluding data. The results of this research are 26 icons, 66 indexes, and 39 data symbols. For example, icons, indexes and symbols in Asma Nadia's novel Bidadari Whispering "The woman is looking closely at a photo in her hand" The quote contains the icon marked with the word photo, while the sign "and meditating on the persuasion of dreams is harder to lull young ages, like Ayuni" Quotations that contain an index are marked with persuasion then the quote Gusti gives me a hint is a quote that contains a symbol with the word gusti.

Abstract

This research is motivated by several things, namely (1) Seeing the many aspects of literary psychology in the collection of drama scripts of the struggle of the Seventeen Laskar by Ari Sulistyo. (2) Research on drama scripts using literary psychology theory is rarely done, because most people are more familiar with a drama through performances than reading the drama script itself. Personality psychology is the study of human personality with the object of research on factors that influence human behavior. In personality psychology studied the relationship between memory or observation with development, the relationship between observation and adjustment to the individual. According to Freud, "the intricacies of the human psyche are composed of three levels, namely: the id (basic drive), ego (conscious regulation between the id and external reality), and the superego (the moral guide of one's aspirations). The method in this study is a descriptive method, namely describing and presenting data according to the content analysis or the actual situation about the personality of the character in the drama Laskar Tujuh Belas by Ari Sulistyo. The data collection technique in this study is a hermeneutic technique, namely reading, note-taking, and inference techniques. The data obtained in this study were analyzed with the following steps: (1) classifying the data obtained based on the problems of the id, ego, and superego, (2) analyzing the data that has been grouped based on Sigmund Freud's personality theory, (3) concluding data belonging to the personality of the character according to Sigmund Freud's theory, and (4) the data is presented in the analysis and interpretation of the data. The results of the study explain that literary psychology related to the personality of the id element is more dominant than the ego and superego elements. From the data that has been grouped as many as 34 data, 17 data of which are the id element which is psychic energy and instincts that press humans to fulfill basic needs, 11 data on the ego element which is the only area of ​​the mind that has contact with reality, and 6 superego element data.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of audio-visual learning media and student learning outcomes in identifying the elements of poetry text building in class VIII SMP Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Pekanbaru. This research is a quantitative research with correlational method. After taking data on 67 samples and analyzing the collected data, the results of the correlation coefficient between variable X and variable Y are 0.627 (positively correlated) which shows a strong correlation level, which is in the range of 0.60 - 0.799. In addition to being positively correlated, the results of the analysis prove a significant relationship with the tcount value of 6.484 > ttable 1.66864 (at the 5% significance level with dk 65) which means rejecting Ho, which is significant. The significant test was strengthened by looking at the value of Sig. that is, 0.00 is smaller than 0.05 (0.00 < 0.05), which means that there is a positive and significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. Furthermore, the magnitude of the coefficient of determination is 0.3844, meaning that the contribution of variable X to variable Y is equal to 39.31% and 60.69% were determined by other factors, such as learning motivation, mastery of learning methods for teachers, school discipline, student internal factors, environment, and others. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the use of audio-visual learning media has a positive and significant relationship to student learning outcomes in the matter of identifying the elements of poetry text building in class VIII SMP Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of learning motivation on learning outcomes at school. A person will not get good learning outcomes without motivation. This motivation can come from within and from outside. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes in Indonesian. This type of research includes descriptive research using quantitative approaches and correlation methods. The population and sample of the study were all students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Siak Hulu, totaling 4 classes, namely XI IPA1 as many as 20 students, XI IPA2 as many as 20 students, XI IPS1 as many as 24 students and XI IPS2 as many as 25. The sampling technique in this study used a technique Nonprobability is a saturated sample. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires and interviews. The results of the study concluded that there was a significant influence on learning motivation in Class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Siak Hulu, this was evidenced by t count (3,462) > from t table (1,979) with a significant level of 0.05 then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Then the hypothesis is accepted. This shows that there is an influence of motivation on learning outcomes

Abstract

Research on place names is very interesting to study. This is because the naming of places has a different background story. Research on place names can broaden social and cultural knowledge. Giving village names in Kuantan Hilir District, Kuansing Regency cannot be separated from natural elements and developing community stories. This research uses a descriptive method. The data in this study are the names of 15 villages in the Kuantan Hilir sub-district along with the history of the village based on the results of interviews and documents found. The problem that will be answered in this study is to describe the naming of villages in Kuantan Hilir District. After doing the analysis, it was found that the naming of villages in Kuantan Hilir District, Kuansing Regency was dominated by stories of developing people.

Abstract

This study examines the analysis of the meaning of greeting names in the Malay community of Sungai Pinang Village, Kubu Babussalam District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning of the names of the Malay people of Sungai Pinang Village, Kubu Babussalam District, Rokan Hilir Regency. Data collection techniques used in this study were notes and interviews. The data analysis technique in this study used qualitative data analysis techniques. The population in this study were all the names used in the Naming of the Malay Community of Sungai Pinang Village, Rokan Hilir Regency. The sample in this study used saturated sampling. As well as the method in this study using the ethnographic method. Based on the results of the analysis, there are data that can be classified based on combinations of greetings based on the theory according to Brown and Gilman (1960), namely: (1) Naming of Familiarity in Descendants, this combination is said to be naming greetings in the family such as, female parents are called omak, old men are called musty, (2) naming of persona pronouns, this greeting is used to replace the first and second person, such as when the word I is called me, the word you is called you, they are called sir, and the word we are called crew.

Abstract

Semiotics Analysis of Beauty Representation in Jessica Mila's Fair and Lovely Advertisement on YouTube Media which aims to analyze, describe and find out the meaning of beauty advertisements brought by Jessica Mila based on icons, symbols, and also the index on Fair and Lovely YouTube ads using research on semiotics. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research, while the focus in this study is to analyze the signs used in advertising. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation techniques and data analysis techniques using Peirce's theory (1955) which revealed that semiotics is a science that discusses signs and the meaning of their application. Based on the results of research and discussion, the representation of beauty in Jessica Mila's version of Fair and Lovely advertisement there are 20 signs and icons, 5 index signs, and 12 symbol signs.

Abstract

This study uses a descriptive method which is an explanation based on existing facts so as to produce an explanation as to what the Islamic University of Riau is a university in the city of Pekanbaru which has interesting meanings in the names of its students. Based on the analysis findings, there are naming elements from Javanese language and culture, naming using Arabic foreign language elements, and from the combined elements of parental or descendant names in the name. This is the basis for studying, especially those related to the language elements and meanings contained in the names of the sixth semester Indonesian Language Study Program students at the Islamic University of Riau. Understanding the language of these elements and types of meaning can be known based on language as an element forming student names and the types of meanings contained in them. The data is processed using a data analysis table according to the formulation of the problem presented in the study, such as the elements of self-naming and the type of meaning of self-naming. Furthermore, a description is carried out using an explanation that is explained using sentences (qualitative) in the study.
