Abstract

Personal hygiene during menstruation needs to be done properly to prevent the risk of infection in the reproductive organs, especially for teenage girls. From the results of the study, 69.6% of women had positive behavior in caring for genitalia and 31.01% had negative behavior. From this percentage, women who did not practice good menstrual personal hygiene tended to get infections. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of young female students at the Ma'Had Al-Mubarak Al-Islami Litahfizil Qur'an Al-Karim Islamic Boarding School regarding personal hygiene during menstruation. The methods used are lectures, demonstrations, pretest-posttest as well as discussions and questions and answers using educational videos with laptops, leaflets and LCD media. This community service activity received a positive response from the students, as evidenced by the enthusiasm of the students in asking questions. Based on the evaluation process, it was found that there was an increase in students' knowledge about personal hygiene during menstruation, this was proven by the post-counseling evaluation where 90% of participants were able to answer each post-test question given correctly. It is hoped that with this activity the students can be prepared to face the sexual, physical and psychological changes that occur to them and to maintain the health of their reproductive organs properly, one of which is by carrying out personal hygiene during menstruation.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the problems that hinders human development globally. The prevalence of stunting in Riau Province showed a decrease from 23.7% to 27.4%, with the number of babies experiencing stunting in Pekanbaru City reaching as many as 1,248 toddlers. This community service activity aims to increase family knowledge about stunting and its prevention. The method used in this community service is carried out online; the implementation of activities is carried out starting from the establishment of a family counseling platform, especially for pregnant women, which is made in the form of whatsapp groups and webinars, which are carried out using the Zoom meeting application, and activities are carried out for three months, namely November 2020 to January 2021. This community service activity received a positive response from the community, as evidenced by the many pregnant women who asked about the masteries presented and enthusiastically shared their pregnancy experiences. It can be concluded that pregnant women's knowledge about stunting increases, as evidenced by the increase in post-test scores. It is hoped that the puskesmas will actively provide counseling and invite pregnant women and mothers with toddlers to routinely have health checks for early detection and to prevent stunting.

Abstract

The creativity of Sunday school teachers is an absolute necessity in developing the spiritual abilities and skills of Sunday school children. This can take place well, if training and capacity building for Sunday school teachers are carried out regularly, both by the church and in collaboration with related stakeholders. The purpose of the service is to try to improve the ability and entrepreneurial creativity of Sunday school teachers so that when teaching, Sunday school teachers are good at creating an atmosphere that attracts the attention and enthusiasm of Sunday school children to participate in worship (Bible stories) through active, innovative, creative learning methods, effective and fun and convey about entrepreneurship for Sunday school children to members of the GSJA Logos Kotaraja congregation. The method of implementing the training is lectures in the form of delivering material and practice accompanied by the use of teaching aids to Sunday school teachers and members of the GSJA Logos Kotaraja Church. The results of the training showed that there was an increase in the ability of the training participants and there was also an increase in the knowledge of the training members about how to teach creative and innovative Sunday school children, understanding of entrepreneurship for Sunday school children to church members. The results of observations during the training also went well and smoothly and all participants were actively involved in participating in each training session.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to empower women by providing knowledge, motivation, and sewing skills for women members of the PELWAP Eben Haezer Kotaraja to be able to increase family finances by opening a sewing business. The method used is face-to-face and practice. The results of the dedication show that it is necessary to carry out sewing training activities on an ongoing basis to improve the ability of female members of the PELWAP Eben Haezer Kotaraja.

Abstract

Community service activities in the form of business management training are carried out to increase the knowledge of micro-entrepreneurs in the Tanjung Ria Village who are working in the tourism sector, especially beach tourism. The problem faced so far is the difficulty of determining the right business idea, determining the selling price, and managing business finances. The methods used in this training are lectures, discussions, and exercises. This training provides benefits for micro-entrepreneurs in increasing their ability to determine the right business opportunities, setting competitive or competitive product selling prices, as well as increasing their ability to manage business finances.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide education and knowledge about understanding and recognizing the characteristics of the authenticity of Rupiah banknotes for the 2022 emission year in the activities of the Sunday school children of the Kingmi Eklesia Angkasa Church, Jayapura City in carrying out family, congregational and state economic activities. The methods used are lectures, discussions and questions and answers. This activity was welcomed by the church and the Sunday school children of the Kingmi Eklesia Angkasa Church, Jayapura City, gained knowledge about how to recognize genuine payment instruments.

Abstract

This dedication is to develop a people's economy which has an impact on improving the national economy without ignoring Indonesian economic democracy for MSME Partners in Toloa Village. The method used in this PKM activity is a participatory method where the community plays an active role in the process or flow of the program stages and its supervision. The achievement formulated by the PKM Team is that the PKM Program is able to provide a deep understanding of Partners, being able to develop business models and strategies in the form of managerial and management of financial reports and future business challenges.

Abstract

This service aims to provide knowledge to millennial investors in Jayapura City on how to use the stockbit application, how to identify undervalued shares using price book value (PBV), making it easier for investors to develop value investing strategies. Millennial investors are taught how to install the Stockbit application and how to read PBV charts. The results of this service found that millennial investors in Jayapura City are still minimal in using stock applications to help determine value investing strategies, millennial investors still follow advice from brokers from securities companies in Jayapura City.

Abstract

Biopores come from the word "bio," meaning life, and "pori," meaning pores. Based on the process of their creation, biopores are divided into two types: natural and artificial. Natural biopores are small holes in the soil created by the activities of organisms living in the soil, such as worms, termites, or the movement of plant roots within the ground. Artificial biopores, also known as biopore infiltration holes, are cylindrical holes made vertically into the ground with a diameter of 10-30 cm and a depth of about 100 cm or not exceeding the groundwater level. These holes are then filled with organic waste, which serves to activate soil microorganisms. The objectives of this activity are: to raise awareness within the target community about managing organic waste, to build awareness about the dangers of flooding, to foster a commitment to flood prevention, and to introduce biopore technology as a method of flood prevention. The outcomes of this activity include the target group understanding the relationship between the environment, particularly the connection between waste, floods, and biopores, and agreeing to start managing waste, especially organic waste.

Abstract

Muslims always giving infaq in the month of Ramadan. Infaq is one of the Islamic economic sectors that plays a role in the social sector. The management of infak must be effective to maintain the trust of Muslims who provide funds. One of the problems of infak management is distribution among all circles of society. Currently, the community can distribute infaq through community institutions. The funds collected are then distributed in the form of takjil through volunteers throughout Indonesia, especially in mosques around the city of Lhokseumawe, Aceh Province. The method of service method used is in the form of community participation starting from collecting funds from the community, making takjil through UMKM Pasar Cunda Lhokseumawe City, distribution of takjil by team of community service Malikussaleh University and acceptance of takjil by four mosques around the city of Lhokseumawe. The purpose of this activity is to raise funds from the community, empower local UMKM and share fellow Muslims in Lhokseumawe City.
