Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: This study identifies and analyzes invasive understory plants posing a threat to the ecological balance in Nganggring Village, Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region, particularly within the prominent Salak Pondoh plantation. Employing direct observation and interpreting remote sensing imagery from Google Earth, the research collected data using a systematic grid approach at intervals of 10x10 and 5x5 meters. The findings reveal the presence of various invasive species, including Legetan, Elephant Grass, Thunbergia erecta, Israeli Grass, and others. These plants exhibit high adaptability, rapid growth, and competitive capabilities, posing a significant risk to the local ecosystem. The study provides insights into the diversity of invasive understory plants in Nganggring Village, serving as a foundational step in minimizing adverse environmental impacts. Sustainable environmental protection and management efforts are crucial for mitigating invasion risks and preserving ecological balance in the region. This research contributes to a better understanding of invasive flora, supporting environmental sustainability amid the prominent Salak Pondoh plantation.

Abstract

Nganggring Tourism Village, Sleman, Yogyakarta, as a location for Pondoh salak cultivation, is located in a mountainous area with annual rainfall of 2760 mm, an altitude of 708 meters above sea level, an average temperature of 26.1°C, and regosol soil type. Environmental analysis shows that Nganggring Tourism Village has ideal conditions for cultivating pondoh salak. The interaction of Pondoh salak plants with the local ecosystem involves a mutualistic relationship with protective plants, mycorrhizal fungi and pollinating insects. Even though it has a positive impact on biodiversity and soil fertility, Pondoh salak plants can also pose a risk of spreading pests and plant diseases. Therefore, this journal proposes a sustainable management strategy for pondoh salak cultivation through wise spatial zoning, use of green technology, diversification of the local economy, partnerships and social management. This strategy is expected to increase production, maintain the ecosystem and improve the welfare of farmers, thereby supporting the sustainability of pondoh salak cultivation in a broader socio-economic context.

Abstract

The Gajah Mungkur Reservoir (WGM) is located south of the center of Wonogiri Regency, Central Java. The variety of aquatic biotas, such as fish, in WGM is quite diverse due to the many rivers flowing into it. This identification is important because regions in Indonesia have a diversity of different types of fish and endemic types. The data collection locations were divided into four stations in the WGM. The diversity of nekton was studied using two methods, namely active and passive methods, and data were also collected on abiotic parameters, including TDS, water temperature, brightness, DO, and pH. The nekton found in this study consisted of 11 families comprising 15 species of fish and two species of shrimp. The dominant family was the Cyprinidae family, with six species: Hampala macrolepidota, Dangila cuvieri, Osteochilus vittatus, Barbonymus gonionotus, Rasbora argyrotaenia, and Oxyeleotris marmorata. The TDS levels ranged from 790-1050, water temperature from 28.9-30.4°C, brightness from 42-83 cm, DO from 3.55 to 4.8 ppm, and pH from 8.5-8.9. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index showed a value of 1.07-1.89, the evenness index ranged from 0.65 to 0.97, and the species richness index was within the 0.54-2.37 range. This sedimentation results in soil formation that local residents use for agriculture, especially in planting palawija crops. Sedimentation can also reduce the fishery areas within the reservoir and cause habitat displacement for nekton. Additionally, Mimosa pigra plants have been found to inhabit the sedimented soil, which may affect the water quality and ecosystem of the reservoir

The total revenue that is greater than the total cost indicates that the palm juice product business is profitable. The largest total income earned is the coffee shop business with a nominal value of Rp. 46,115,003/mount. The level of income at the coffee shop is influenced by the service of processed palm juice products. The results of the R/C analysis of palm sap product companies in Binawidya District, Pekanbaru City, obtained for each sap product company is R/C ratio > 1, which means the company is profitable and the company is feasible to work on.

Management of the Krueng Jreue Sub Watershed is important for efforts to maintain sustainability because the Krueng Jreue Sub Watershed is included in the upstream area which functions as a water absorption area which is important to maintain and manage, so that the utilization of the surrounding potential does not exceed its carrying capacity. The participation of communities living around the watershed area is important in efforts to preserve the function of the Krueng Jreue Sub-watershed. The aim of this research is to analyze community participation in the management of the Krueng Jreue Sub-watershed, Krueng Aceh Watershed, Aceh Besar Regency. This research was conducted in Gampong Sihom Lhok, Sihom Cot, Krueng Lamkareung, and Sinyeu, Indrapuri District, Aceh Besar Regency. This research method uses descriptive. Abstract

Forest management as stated in the forestry law no. 41 of 1999 it is explained that forest management must be carried out in a sustainable manner in compliance with the principles of sustainable forest management. The purpose of the study was to analyze the contribution of agroforestri management activities to household income in Sumbermulyo Village, Pesanggaran District, Banyuwangi Regency. The research was conducted in November 2020 at the coordinates of 8o32'46.3"S 114o 06'35.0"E. In this study, the samples to be taken were all respondents, namely 70 people who were obtained from the number of agroforestri management communities in Sumbermulyo Village. The data analysis carried out was the sperman rank correlation test for the contribution of agroforestri management to farmers' income. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the working time of the male sex contributed more to the management of agroforestri than the female sex. The contribution of agroforestri shows that the variables of agroforestri type, marketed selling price of agroforestri, amount of fertilizer, and production costs per harvest have a correlation with household income.
