Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease, with the condition that glucose levels in the blood exceed normal limits. This is because the body cannot release or use insulin adequately. Insulin is a hormone released by the pancreas and is the main substance responsible for maintaining blood sugar levels in the body to remain in a balanced condition. Insulin functions as a tool that helps sugar move into cells so that it can produce energy or be stored as energy reserves. The purpose of this study was to determine the Correlation between the Compliance of the Use of Antidiabetic Drugs and the Success of Therapy in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients Outpatient in the Internal Medicine Polyclinic of Embung Fatimah Hospital in Batam 2018.Method: This type of research is an observational analytic cross-sectional study design. The number of samples is 40 people. Data collection techniques by giving questionnaires about compliance and medical record data of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Univariate analysis is presented in the frequency distribution table and bivariate analysis using chi-square with the SPSS system. Results: The results of a study with a sample of 40 patients, showed more than half of patients (62.5%), had high adherence and more than half of patients (62.5%), successful treatment success. Chi-Square analysis results obtained p.value = 0.041 where p is smaller than the significance level (α) = 5% (0.05). Ho rejected, which means there is a significant relationship between compliance with the use of antidiabetic drugs with the success of therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus outpatient in the Internal Medicine Polyclinic at Embung Fatimah Hospital in Batam 2018.Conclusion: Based on this study it was concluded that there was a Compliance Relationship between the Use of Antidiabetic Drugs and the Success of Therapy in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients Outpatient in the Internal Medicine Polyclinic at Embung Fatimah Hospital in Batam 2018.

Abstract

The work of a nurse in providing nursing services is inseparable from setting working hours in a hospital, better known as work shifts. The work shift system will have a variety of positive effects, but the work shift can cause effects that are quite disturbing to the health of workers, especially as experiencing a lack of sleep. Sleep deprivation associated with shift work can affect metabolic hormones ie, decreased growth hormone production, and decreased circadian melatonin rhythms and health burdens such as metabolic disorders, obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. In addition to coronary heart disease and stroke, hypertension complications can cause heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, kidney disorders, retinal bleeding, and vision problems. This is the cause due to interference with blood pressure, as for the factors that can affect blood pressure, namely, age, sex, exercise, drugs, race, and obesity. This research is a quantitative study with an observational analytic research design with a cross-sectional approach. Subjects were nurses who worked in shifts and nurses who did not shift in Camatha Sahidya Hospital, Batam City in 2018. A total of 98 study samples were selected using the total sampling method. Data collection techniques were used to measure blood pressure. Data were analyzed with Chi-Square test analysis and processed with Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS). Research Results: This study shows the results, analysis of the Relationship between Work Shift and Blood Pressure in Nurses at Camatha Sahidya Hospital in Batam City in 2018 who worked without shifting pressure 8 (80%) normal blood and 2 (20%) prehypertension. While nurses who work in normal blood pressure shifts are 33 (37.5%), prehypertension is 54 (61.3%) and first-degree hypertension is 1 (1.1%). Related to the value of p = 0.035 (<0.05), then H0 is rejected and there is a relationship between work shifts and blood pressure for nurses at Camatha Sahidya Hospital in Batam City in 2018. There is a Relationship between Work Shift and Blood Pressure in Nurses at Camatha Sahidya Hospital in Batam City in 2018.

Abstract

Noise in the workplace is often a separate problem for the workforce so that it can cause mental-emotional disturbance as well as the heart and circulatory system. According to the 2013 Basic Health Research, the prevalence of high blood pressure in Indonesia at the age of ≥18 years is 25.8%. So the researchers wanted to find a relationship between noise intensity and blood pressure. This research method was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach conducted at PT. Bintang Intipersada Shipyard, Batam City. The sampling technique was a total sampling with a population of 100 workers in 2018 and obtained results of 61 workers determined by inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the study were analyzed with a frequency distribution tabulated and tested with the Pearson Product Moment Test. The results of this study worker who were exposed to noise intensity ≤85 dBA had a normal blood pressure of 8 (36.5%) people, in workers who were exposed to noise intensity ≤85 dBA had blood pressure with Pre-hypertension as many as 12 (54.5% ) people, for workers exposed to noise intensity ≤85 dBA have 1 (4.5%) blood pressure with Stage 1 Hypertension, workers who are exposed to noise intensity ≤85 dBA have blood pressure with Stage 2 Hypertension as much as 1 (4.5 %) person. While workers who are exposed to noise intensity> 85 dBA have normal blood pressure of 0 (0%) people, workers who are exposed to noise intensity> 85 dBA have blood pressure with Pre-hypertension as much as 2 (5.1%) people, workers are exposed to noise intensity> 85 dBA had blood pressure with Stage 1 Hypertension as many as 14 (35.9%) people, then workers exposed to noise intensity> 85 dBA had blood pressure with Stage 2 Hypertension as many as 23 (59%) workers. The results of the Pearson Product Moment analysis value of p = 0,000 <α 0.05, there is a relationship between noise intensity and blood pressure with the magnitude of the correlation coefficient (r) which is 0.795 meaning, there is a strong relationship. Based on this study it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between noise intensity and blood pressure.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, humans always interact with technological developments. One result of the development of technology is the use of computers. The use of computers that are not under the ergonomic position causes effects on health, one of them is tension-type headaches. In the United States, 1-4% of patients coming to the Emergency Care Unit complain of headache, 90% of them are tension-type headaches. The proportion of migraine and other headache syndromes in the hospital. Harapan Bunda in 2011 and RS. Camatha Sahidya in Batam in Batam was 5% and 0.7% respectively. Whereas the incidence of tension headaches in 5 puskesmas in Batam in 2014 ranged from 0.5% - 1.3%. The proportion of tension headaches at the BIP Clinic in the January-April 2018 period is 1.5%. Tension-type headaches that occur continuously can cause barriers to daily activities. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of computer use with the incidence of tension-type headaches in workers. This research uses a descriptive-analytic method with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Of 97 respondents who visited the clinical BIP that met the criteria, it was found that computer user respondents experienced tension-type headaches of 18 people (42.9%) and not tension-type headaches of 24 people (57.1%). Whereas the respondents who were not computer users experienced tension-type headaches of 10 people (18.2%), and non-tension-type headaches of 45 people (81.8%). Bivariate chi-square analysis showed that p = 0.008 (p <0.05). This means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.
