Abstract

The development of religious moderation is influenced by philosophical tasawuf, which gives a new face to science. This study aims to explain Fahruddin Faiz's preaching in the actualization of moderate Islam. The focus of this research examines how the actualization of moderate Islam in the philosophical tasawuf of Fahruddin Faiz's view uses the method of library research (library research) a qualitative with discourse analysis. The findings in this study are that prior to the existence of philosophical tasawuf, tasawuf was still pure and had not been touched by philosophical teachings. so that in the end there was philosophical tasawuf where tasawuf was also influenced by philosophy, one proof of this is the existence of moderate tasawuf. And other findings that in Fahruddin Faiz's preaching regarding moderate Islam have several characteristics, including: tawazun (balanced), tawassut (not excessive), i'tidal (fair), tasamuh (tolerant), and i'tishad (simple). There is a strong connection with moderate tasawuf which means inter-religious tolerance that grows through the application of these characteristics. Fahruddin Faiz likens a tolerant person to the sea, because the sea is wide open, accepting anything. The sea is a symbol of relaxation, relief, and breadth.

Abstract

This article is based on the idea that there are a tendency to understand hadith in a partial way and the demand for its relevance in answering contemporary problems. This is what happens with the concept of fitrah, where the hadiths containing this theme are very diverse, but the analysis of their understanding tends to be carried out separately. Also how this concept can be developed and useful in the Indonesian context, especially regarding religious moderation. To answer this problem, the author conducted library research to examine the meaning of fitrah in the Prophet's hadith by using hadith books, such as Sahih al-Bukhari as the primary data source. After the fitrah hadiths were obtained, they were then analyzed using a thematic-comprehensive method. The results of the research show that there are 2 (two) main meanings contained in the fitrah hadiths, namely: First, the nature of the religious potential of monotheism or the affirmation of God. This potential exists in every creature because it is a gift from God that was given along with the creation of humans. Second, purity. This second meaning is in principle a consequence of the religious potential that exists within humans, both physical and psychological (inner). Fitrah as basic human potential can grow into positive and/or negative characters. Therefore, the effort to maintain it is to carry out actions that support its existence, such as maintaining personal cleanliness, abstaining from disgraceful actions, worshiping according to guidance and praying. Regarding religious moderation, the potential of fitrah can be developed as a basis for forming moderate character in line with efforts to realize the element of 'purity' that accompanies fitrah. For this reason, there are 3 (three) things that must be optimized so that the ideal moderation character in children can be formed, namely: instilling values, presenting role models, and giving orders and prohibitions

Abstract

ABSTRACT In this era, human life relies on progress in science and technology, which in turn creates problems that must be faced physically, psychologically, socially and economically. Which ultimately causes a person to experience mental health disorders such as stress and depression, paranoia, schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar, dimensionality, autism. In this regard, there has been debate among western scholars, medical circles and psychiatrists, psychologists and various other schools in identifying the causes of mental disorders and this has given rise to debate among scientists. Some scientists say that the problem of mental disorders starts from biological, biophysical, psychosocial, genetic and social factors. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis with a qualitative type of research. The results of the researchers show that modern psychology and western philosophers no longer see the issue of mental disorders as a metaphysical discussion, they only look at it from a social perspective and do not explain problems regarding the soul in discussions about health. mentally. They focus on medical problems that are related to physical or sociological causes and do not see them as metaphysical entities. Ibn Sina explains metaphysics and the relationship between body and soul on a philosophical basis for mental health. Ibn Sina proposed a more integrative approach to mental health disorders.

Abstract

This article examines the model of heart disease therapy in the thought of Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyah, known as Sufi healing. It aims to purify the heart from disease while enabling a servant to fulfill their worship as commanded by Allah to His Messenger. In life, a person inevitably encounters four conditions: pleasure, sorrow, suffering, and death. This study investigates how Sufi healing impacts the ability to face these four conditions. The author employs descriptive and analytical methods in this research. After conducting a literature review, the author concludes that Sufi healing, according to Ibn Qayyim's thought, is an effective way to treat heart diseases by engaging in remembrance (dhikr) of Allah. This practice leads to human happiness and protection from diseases such as envy, jealousy, malice, and ostentation.
