Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of accessibility on tourist satisfaction at Mitra Deli Sayum Sabah Natural Baths. The accessibility in question includes factors such as road infrastructure conditions, transportation availability, ease of navigation, and other supporting facilities that affect the comfort and ease of tourists in reaching the location. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who are tourists visiting the location. The data were analyzed using linear regression to determine the extent to which accessibility affects the level of tourist satisfaction. The results of the study indicate that accessibility has a significant effect on tourist satisfaction, where ease of access contributes greatly to increasing the positive experience of visitors. These findings are expected to be input for managers and local governments to improve the quality of infrastructure and supporting facilities in order to attract more tourists.

Abstract

This study looks at how cultural intelligence (CQ) and green transformational leadership (GTL) influence employees' innovative behavior (EIB), with innovation climate (IC) playing a role in between, at private universities in Medan City. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method. We conducted data analysis using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through Smart PLS software. The results showed that GTL had a significant positive effect on IC and EIB. IC was also shown to have a forceful and significant effect on EIB. Conversely, CQ showed a significant negative effect on IC and EIB, indicating that cultural diversity that is not managed effectively can hinder innovation. Mediation analysis indicated that IC significantly mediates the effect of GTL and CQ on EIB. However, the way CQ affects EIB through IC is still negative, meaning that if the innovation climate isn't supportive, CQ can actually have a harmful effect. These findings emphasize the importance of environmentally oriented transformational leadership and innovative climate in encouraging employee innovative behavior. Theoretically, this study integrates individual, leadership, and organizational dimensions in understanding innovative behavior. Practically, these findings provide implications for the development of HR management strategies in culturally diverse higher education environments.

Abstract

This research investigates the challenges in implementing the human resource (HR) fulfillment policy at the Regional General Hospital of Prof. Dr. H.M. Anwar Makkatutu, focusing on the application of the Workload Indicator Staff Need (WISN) method and the analysis of crucial influencing factors. Employing a mixed-methods research design with a cross-sectional approach, this study involved 15 heads of departments as participants. Data were collected through interviews and document analysis. The research findings revealed that several work units experienced a high workload and staff shortages. The suboptimal implementation of WISN was attributed to an incomplete identification of productive activities, the use of estimated data, and the absence of official policy guidelines regarding HR calculation. Additionally, factors such as connection-based recruitment practices, political dynamics, and internal interests also impacted HR fulfillment. Overall, this research concludes that the implementation of the HR fulfillment policy using WISN at the Regional General Hospital of Prof. Dr. H.M. Anwar Makkatutu has not reached its full potential due to technical constraints in the application of WISN and the strong influence of organizational contextual factors. These research findings are relevant not only to the hospital context in Indonesia but also provide important insights for other countries facing similar issues in health HR management, particularly regarding the influence of non-technical factors and data validity in the implementation of the WISN method.
