Abstract

Purpose: this study is to describe the application of iSpring Suite-based Learner Worksheets (LKPD) and to describe the learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects, specifically on poetry writing skill indicators using iSpring Suite-based LKPD. The research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 with class XI IPA 1 as the subject. Methodology: The methodology used direct observation techniques for data collection, and the learning process was implemented using the POPBL (Project Oriented Problem Based Learning) model. The data were presented descriptively in a qualitative manner, while the data analysis used descriptive statistics to provide an overview of students’ poetry writing skills. Results: The results showed that students’ poetry writing skills in POPBL learning with iSpring Suite-based LKPD achieved the highest score of 84 and the lowest score of 72, with an average score of 77.9. Based on these data, it can be concluded that 100% of the students achieved poetry writing ability scores above the KKM. Applications/Originality/Value: this research is that iSpring Suite-based LKPD can be used as an alternative learning tool to improve students’ poetry writing skills effectively and can serve as a reference for teachers to implement innovative learning models that integrate digital media and project-based learning.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe Madiun secondary school students’ perceptions and analyze the effect of watching TED Talks on the development of their English-speaking skills. Methodology: The research employs a mixed-method approach involving class observations, surveys, and interviews with 135 tenthgrade students from a secondary school in Madiun. The data from surveys and interviews were analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s data analysis method, which includes data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The teaching activities consisted of three phases—preliminary activities, main activities, and closing—that work together to create an effective and engaging teaching strategy. Results: The results show that 79% of the students responded positively to the use of TED Talks to improve their speaking skills, in line with Robin’s (2003) positive and negative perception theory. Overall, the study provides a comprehensive understanding of how TED Talks contribute to students’ speaking skill development, affirming that TED Talks have a positive effect and are perceived as an effective medium in the language learning process. Applications/Originality/Value: The application of this research is that TED Talks can be integrated into English language teaching as an engaging and effective tool to enhance students’ affective and cognitive experiences, thus supporting the improvement of speaking skills in secondary schools

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to find out (1) how students are affected by conventional learning; (2) how students are affected by learning using Cap-cut Application; and (3) how well the effectiveness of Capcut Application works in increasing students' interest in learning Al Qur'an Hadith. Methodology: This type of research uses a comparative quantitative approach, namely com-paring before using the Capcut Application and when using the Capcut Ap-plication. The data collection technique uses a sample of 2 classes, namely class 4.1 and class 4.2 totaling 40 students, the data collection technique us-es a questionnaire, with analysis techniques including validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity and t tests (independent sample tests and paired sample tests), researchers also test their knowledge and skills directly. Results: The results of the paired samples test output above show that the Sig value is known. (2-tailed) 0.000 (<0.05), then H0 is rejected, Ha is accepted. This hypothesis test shows that there is a difference in learning interest between learning classes using Capcut and conventional classes. With the difference in the average value of learning interest, it shows that there is an effect of using Capcut in learning, so the conclusion is that Capcut is effective for in-creasing students' interest in learning Al Quran Hadith subjects in elementary schools. Therefore, there is a considerable difference between the mean (average) value of students' interest in learning before and after treatment as shown by the comparison results. Applications/Originality/Value: In the application of learning using this Capcut Application, the teacher must first master the Capcut Application with the aim of being effective in increasing interest in learning to students in the subject of Al Quran Had-ith.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe the role of canva-based visual learning media in increasing the learning interest of 4-5 years old children in Tunas Bakti Kin-dergarten. Methodology: This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects con-sisted of teachers and children aged 4-5 years at Tunas Bakti Kindergarten who were involved in learning activities. Data were collected through inter-views, observations and documentation. Results: Canva-based visual learning media was able to significantly increase the learning interest and engagement of 4-5-year-olds in the learning process. With its attractive and interactive design, Canva is able to change the dynam-ics of learning at Tunas Bakti Kindergarten. Children who initially had a low interest in learning and often felt bored showed increased focus and enthusi-asm for learning activities. In addition, participation that was previously pas-sive has transformed into more active, where children interact more, both with teachers and peers. Applications/Originality/Value: This research is useful in utilizing Canva as a creative solution for visual learning media, in order to increase the learning interest of 4-5 years old children. The results support educators in creating more interesting and ap-propriate materials for children's development while improving teachers' competence in utilizing technology as part of the learning process.
