Learning media is important to support student learning achievements. Numeral Snakes and Ladders (NSL) is an interactive learning media innovation for elementary schools with an interesting and fun cooperative learning approach for students. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of media in learning and improve students' understanding of basic data literacy. The research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. NSL Media was implemented at SDN Gebanganom, Kangkung District, Kendal Regency, with the entire student population in grade 4 and grade 5. Data collection was carried out using direct tests. The sampling technique for this research is saturated sampling. Data analysis was carried out using a paired sample T-test. The research results showed that by testing using the paired sample T-test, evidence was <0.05 obtained that the two groups before and after using NSL media experienced a significant increase.  Apart from that, learning using NSL media can affect students' cognitive abilities, the effect can be concluded from the test increase from 78.2 to 82.1. The characteristics of students observed during the learning process are honesty, responsibility, and spiritual attitudes well developed. Students' ability to write poetry while learning Indonesian has not been optimally achieved yet. This problem occurs because of the learning models that is not student-cantered. Also, It was often found that learning had not been implemented using the role of media in supporting the student learning process needs to be optimized. In addition, worksheets with comprehensive assessment of poetry writing skills have not been used by teachers. The POPBL (project-oriented learning) model, which combines the role of technology in the form of digital LKPD based on iSpring Suite, is an alternative solution for improving students' writing poetry skills. The use of this worksheet is oriented towards assessing the process according to the indicators of students' poetry writing abilities. This quasi experimental research was carried out using a quantitative approach. The research took place at Muhammadiyah 3 Senior High School Surakarta. There were 30 students as participants from XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2. The instrument of data collection was utilized to test students' ability in poetry writing. Data analysis was carried out using inferential statistical tests namely independent t-test. The results of the analysis obtained in experimental class 1 showed an increase in the ability to write poetry of 77.47 and in experimental class 2 of 62.87. The independent T test conducted showed that the two groups had significant differences with a significance value of 0.001. The test results showed how class that implement POPBL model and Ispring Suites LKPD media were more optimal rather than the other class in terms of improving students' poetry writing abilities.

Teacher competence is directly proportional to  student learning quality. The purpose of this study was to prove whether teacher competence positively impacts the quality of learning. The study was conducted on 127 state madrasah teachers in Malang Regency and Batu City. Data was collected using a questionnaire via Google Form with a semantic differential scale (1-10). The instrument was developed in accordance with the teacher competence law and has met the quality requirements of content testing by experts and obtained empirical evidence in the SEM analysis with CFI (Comparative Fit Index) results, 0.926, RMSEA 0.110, CI (Confidence interval) 0.0937-0.126, and Reliability 0,95. The test of the influence of teacher competence on the quality of learning was carried out using linear regression analysis. The results of the data analysis obtained in the study showed a positive influence of teacher competence on the quality of learning by 90.8%. The results of measurements with the instrument used by the researcher can be a reference in measuring teacher competence;; the better the teacher's competence is, the more directly proportional it is to the quality of learning.

Abstract

The issue of low early reading proficiency among students is the primary focus of this study. This research aims to analyze the factors influencing students' reading difficulties, describe the implementation of the Literacy Alphabet Cards (KAL) as a learning medium in early-grade classrooms, and present the outcomes of its application in teaching. A qualitative research method with a descriptive design was employed. Data collection techniques included observations, interviews, and the direct involvement of the researcher in the learning process. Data were analyzed using an interactive data analysis technique encompassing data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing with verification. The findings reveal internal factors affecting reading difficulties, such as intelligence levels and learning motivation, as well as external factors, including family and community environments. The KAL medium was designed using simple materials and implemented directly during the teaching process. The application of the KAL medium proved effective in enhancing early reading skills, as evidenced by improvements in students’ learning outcomes. The study concludes that the KAL medium can serve as an innovative alternative to addressing early reading difficulties by incorporating approaches that consider both internal and external student factors.

Abstract

Abstract: Development and Testing of Teacher Competency Assessment Instruments with CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) and Profiles of State Madrasah Teachers. Objective: The study was conducted with the aim of producing a teacher competency measurement instrument in accordance with valid and reliable standards. This needs to be done because the instruments currently used do not have empirical evidence, the instruments are very long, and are not yet practical. This study also aims to provide an overview of the competency of teachers involved as research objects. Methods: The study was conducted on 124 state madrasah teachers at MAN 1 Malang, MAN 2 Malang, MAN Kota Batu, MTs N 2 Malang, MTs N 3 Malang, and madrasahs in Batu City, namely MTs N Kota Batu and MAN Kota Batu. The study was conducted by developing an instrument that was tested with CFA to obtain empirical evidence in the form of instrument validity and reliability. Finding: The results showed that the developed instrument met the goodness of fit criteria with an RMSEA index of 0.110; CI 0.0937 - 0.126; and CFI 0.926. The results of the study showed a very good instrument quality with a reliability of 0.950. The tested instrument was then used to measure teacher competency in madrasahs. The results show that teachers have 51.75% professional ability, 44.88% pedagogical ability, 44.46% social ability, and 66.56% personality. The majority of teachers' work experience is more than 10 years as much as 62.99% with the same percentage for teachers with educator certification. Conclusion: From this study it can be concluded that teacher competence needs to be measured periodically as a form of performance evaluation. The results of teacher competency evaluation are the basis for mapping and planning teacher competency improvement programs that will be visible to institutions and individual teachers so that they are able to present quality learning for students. Keywords: assessment instrument, teacher competence, CFA, reliability.
