Abstract

The rapid expansion of online loan services has led to increased financial risks for students, particularly in Indonesia, where access to digital financial services has become ubiquitous. This literature review explores the financial behavior of students, focusing on their engagement with online loan platforms and the associated risks of falling into debt. Financial literacy, peer influence, family background, and psychological factors such as impulsivity and risk-taking behavior are identified as key determinants of students' borrowing decisions. While financial literacy plays a crucial role in helping students make informed decisions, low financial literacy levels increase their susceptibility to predatory lending practices. Additionally, peer influence, social norms, and the allure of instant gratification contribute to the normalization of online loans among students. The review highlights the importance of digital financial literacy programs and interventions aimed at improving students' ability to navigate online financial services responsibly. Finally, the study identifies several gaps in the literature, including the need for longitudinal studies, an exploration of the psychological drivers of online loan usage, and research into the impact of online loan marketing strategies. This review provides valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and financial institutions seeking to mitigate the risks of online loan debt among students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employee satisfaction and intrapreneurship on firm growth in travel agent companies in Jembrana Regency. In facing increasingly tight competition, companies in this sector need effective strategies to support sustainable growth. Therefore, it is important to understand how employee satisfaction and the implementation of intrapreneurship culture can affect company growth. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 15 travel agent companies in Jembrana Regency, involving 150 respondents, consisting of company managers and employees. The results of the regression analysis showed that employee satisfaction (coefficient 0.55, p <0.05) and intrapreneurship (coefficient 0.45, p <0.05) have a significant positive effect on firm growth. This finding indicates that companies that are able to increase employee satisfaction and encourage intrapreneurship culture tend to experience better growth, both in terms of revenue, number of customers, and market expansion. Abstract

Micro businesses are a vital component of Southeast Asia’s economy, contributing significantly to employment and poverty reduction. However, these businesses face several financial management challenges that hinder their growth and sustainability. This literature review examines the financial management hurdles faced by micro businesses in Southeast Asia, focusing on challenges such as poor financial literacy, limited access to finance, inadequate cash flow management, and the lack of formal financial systems. It also explores potential solutions to these challenges, including improving financial literacy, increasing access to affordable finance, and promoting the use of digital financial tools. While financial management practices vary across countries in Southeast Asia, micro business owners consistently face barriers that limit their ability to manage resources effectively. The review suggests that improving financial literacy through targeted education programs and enhancing access to formal financial services are key to addressing these issues. Additionally, the role of digital technologies in streamlining financial management practices is explored, highlighting the importance of promoting digital inclusion for micro businesses. This review contributes to the understanding of financial management challenges in micro businesses and provides insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and development organizations to support the growth and sustainability of micro enterprises in Southeast Asia.
