This study aimed to empirically test the tendency to be cyber-bullies in adolescents predicted by self-esteem and loneliness. The method used in this study is quantitative method. Research participants were adolescents with an age between 12 – 17 years, using communication devices connected to the internet and claimed to have mocked or insulted other through social network sites. There were 646 participants involved in this study. The data collection in this study used two methods, that were the list of content and scales. The scale used were the scale of tendency of being a cyber-bullies, adolecents self-esteem scale and adolescents loneliness scale. The reseach instrument was analyzed with content validity and realibility of Cronbach alpha ( =0,88, =0,90 =0,88). Data analysis used multiple regression analysis technique. The results showed that self-esteem and loneliness significantly can predicted the tendency of being a cyber-bullies in adolescents. The tendency to be a cyber-bullies was predicted by self-esteem and loneliness of 3.3%.

Technology based company operates in a very dynamic business environment. As one of the fast growing technology company, Qiscus has proven themselves to be able to survived after several major change in their business. This study aimed to find out what strategies taken by Qiscus, as a startup company and how their strategy can be used to deal with this high uncertainty business environment. A qualitative method with case study approach was used to answer these research questions. Data were gathered from 8 informants (2 founders and 6 senior employees). Through the in-depth interview and observation processes, the study found six strategic themes which were then categorized into internal and external strategies. The research findings showed that Qiscus had implemented six strategies: high involvement organization, pivot, building brand image, maintaining users experience, strategic investment and market education. The findings support previous studies that stated organizations with strong internal stakeholder involvement tend to have better performance and productivity.

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of religiosity in the quarter-life crisis in students. The hypothesis proposed was that religiosity plays a role in the quarter-life crisis of students. This research used survey quantitative research methods. Participants in this study were 219 college students (95 males and 124 females) from various study programs in Indonesia aged 18-25 year old. The instruments used were the Abrahamic religiosity scale and the quarter-life crisis scale. Data were analyzed using regression analysis (p = 0.006; r = 0.034). Religiosity was found to predict how the student's facing a period of a quarter-life crisis and full of challenges to face.

Keyakinan terhadap gejala paranormal merupakan permasalahan pseudoscience atau ilmu pengetahuan lancung. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji keyakinan terhadap gejala paranormal para mahasiswa psikologi di kota Yogyakarta. Kognisi manusia khususnya kemampuan mahasiswa dalam melakukan penalaran probabilistik berhubungan dengan keyakinan terhadap gejala paranormal. Penelitian ini menjadikan penalaran probabilistik menjadi prediktor atas keyakinan mengenai gejala paranormal dari 105 mahasiswa peserta matakuliah Psikologi Umum di dua Universitas di kota Yogyakarta. Pengukuran kepercayaan terhadap gejala paranormal memakai skala adaptasi dari skala Tobacyk yang terdiri dari 26 item favorabel sedangkan kemampuan penalaran probabilistik diukur oleh sembilan (9) soal pilihan ganda dengan 4 pilihan jawaban yang tersedia. Analisis regresi menghasilkan nilai R = 0,265 (F = 7,802; p < 0,05) yang berarti penalaran probabilistik dapat menjadi prediktor keyakinan mengenai gejala paranormal. Tidak terdapat perbedaan penalaran probabilistik dan keyakinan terhadap gejala paranormal antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan.

Subjective wellbeing is a negative or positive assessment of the experience experienced in all aspects of life. The purpose of this study was to identify the subjective welfare level of scavengers based on sociodemography. Using a quantitative approach with survey design methods and with incidental sampling techniques, the sample in the study involved 87 scavengers composed of 41 men and 46 women, aged 17-55 years, and domiciled in Banda Aceh. Subjective prosperity was measured using Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE). The analysis methods used were descriptive statistics and chi square test for independent. The result of chi square statistic analysis showed that there was no correlation between subjective welfare of the scavengers in sociodemographic group (gender p > 0.05; age p > 0.05; last education p > 0.05; marital status p > 0.05; income p > 0.05). The result of descriptive analysis showed that the dominant research subjects were at high subjective well-being level (58 subjects or 66,7%).

This study aimed to determine the correlation of stress and well-being with gratitude moderation in early adults in Aceh. The method of this research was carried out using a quantitative approach. This study involved 349 early adults (264 female, 85 male) with age range of 20-40 years (M = 22.20) selected through the nonprobability sampling method with incidental sampling techniques. Individual’s stress levels were measured using the Perceived Stress Scale, well-being was measured using the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale, and gratitude was measured using the Skala Bersyukur Indonesia. Data were analyzed using moderated regression analysis to test the research hypothesis. The results showed that stress had a significant negative relationship to well-being (β1 = -0.788; p < 0.05), then gratitude was able to moderate the relationship of stress and well-being (β3 = 3.257; p < 0.05). This study showed that there was a correlation between stress and well-being with gratitude moderation. It meant that grateful people focus on things that are grateful for every day, so that the impact on low stress levels and can improve individual well-being.

This study aimed to empirically determine the role of teacher-student interaction and students’ learning styles in students’ disposition toward critical thinking in physics subject. Research participants were high school students of grade XI majoring in natural science. Sampling in this study was done using convenience sampling with sample size of 67 students (25 males and 42 females). Data collection method used in this study was survey using Disposition toward Critical Thinking in Physics Subject Scale, Teacher-student Interaction in Physics Subject Scale, and Learning Styles in Physics Subject Scale. Analysis of covariance with one covariate showed 1) there was a correlation between teacher-student interaction and students’ disposition toward critical thinking in physics subject (F = 37.199; ƞ2p = 0.375; p < 0.01) and 2) there was difference of disposition toward critical thinking in physics subjects between student with diverging, assimilating, accommodating, and converging learning styles (F = 6.870; ƞ2p = 0.249; p < 0.01). Post-hoc test was also done to further analyze the data. The findings are going to help improving quality of learning especially in the subject being studied by fostering wholesome teacher-student interaction and accommodating students’ learning styles.

This research aimed to empirically examine the effect of parents’ social support on academic achievement through the mediation of intrinsic motivation to learn. It was hypothesized that parents’ social support positively affect academic achievement through the mediation of intrinsic motivation to learn. Researcher adapted Gordon’s Parent Subscale Social Support Questionnaire for Children Rahmi’s Parental Support Scale and Rahmi’s Intrinsic Motivation to Learn Subscale along with weighted summative asessment tests to measure academic achievement. Participants were 84 students of grade 8 from three different junior high schools in Yogyakarta. Path analysis was used to investigate the hyphotesis. Results indicated that parents’ social support was a significant predictor of intrinsic motivation to learn, b = 0.55, (p < 0.05), and that intrinsic motivation to learn was a significant predictor of academic achievement, b = 0.47, (p < 0.05). These results supported the mediational hypothesis. Parents’ social support was no longer a significant predictor of academic achievement after including the mediator, parents’ social support, b = 0.16, (p > 0.05), consistent with full mediation.

Adolescents are active social media user. There are various interactions that happen in social media, social support is one of them. In Instagram, the interaction between users can be giving likes, comments, and sending direct messages. Meanwhile, high school adolescents (15—18 years old) have high preoccupation toward their body image. Thus, online social support is considered to have relationship with body image in adolescents Instagram’s user. The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between online social support and adolescent’s body image. The subjects of this research were adolecents who lived in DI Yogyakarta, DKI Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya (n = 235). Body image was measured using MBSRQ-AS (The Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire-Appearance Scales) and online social support was measured using Social Support in Social Media Scale. The result of product moment analysis showed that online social support significantly correlated with adolescent’s body image (r = 0.261; p < 0.05). Further analysis found that there was body image difference between male and female adolescents (t = -2.104; p < 0.05). Age, location, access period, and the type of account followed did not have significant role on body image. In conclusion, adolescents need to have positive peer support.

Perkembangan zaman yang diikuti dengan perkembangan teknologi telah menawarkan berbagai kemudahan dalam hal administrasi tes. Salah satunya adalah administrasi tes berbasis komputer atau yang lazim dinamakan dengan Computer Based Test (CBT). CBT dikembangkan untuk menjadi alternatif penyelenggaraan tes dengan menggunakan Paper and Pencil Test (PPT). Secara praktis CBT memiliki banyak keuntungan dibanding dengan PPT namun perbandingan mengenai properti psikometris pada kedua bentuk tes ini masih perlu ditelaah lebih lanjut. Penelitian mengenai paralelisme kedua model administrasi tes ini belum banyak dilakukan, terutama pada tes-tes yang dikembangkan oleh Fakultas Psikologi UGM seperti Tes Potensi Akademik Pascasarjana (PAPs). Analisis pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengikutsertakan taraf kesukaran dan daya diskriminasi menggunakan pendekatan Item Response Theory (IRT), indeks ketepatan model dan struktur pengukuran sebagai bukti validitas konstruk. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Tes PAPs secara umum tergolong memiliki kesetaraan pada parameter taraf kesukaran butir, daya diskriminasi butir dan tingkat ketepatan butir ketika disajikan dalam bentuk CBT dan PPT. Sehingga, Tes PAPs ke depannya dapat disajikan dalam kedua bentuk tersebut secara bergantian.
