Abstract

Designing an inspirational video about Batik is an activity to process a video following current trends with the aim of inspiring Indonesian teenagers to wear batik as their identity clothing. Batik is one of the artistic treasures that has been preserved from generation to generation by the people of Indonesia. Batik art has received recognition in the world as a cultural heritage of the archipelago, through its illustrated cloth by making distinctive, traditional, pictorial patterns. Its use in everyday life is a way of respecting the nation's traditions and cultural heritage. We. The number of new fashion modes in people's clothing styles as time goes by changes the function and meaning that is valued by society. Therefore, the author intends to create an inspiring fashion video trend to inspire young people in Indonesia by updating their mindset regarding modern Batik and as a medium for inspiring them to wear batik clothing as an identity of the Indonesian nation that is best preserved.

Abstract

One type of industry that is developing very rapidly among various types of industry in Indonesia is the furniture industry, one of which is PT. Kayu Furniture Indonesia which produces doors. In the door leaf production process, there are 7 machines used, namely double planer, rip, cut, molding, single end, drill and press assembly machines.  The steps in identifying hazards using the HAZOP method begin with knowing the door leaf production flow, namely receiving raw material, leveling the surface of the wood, printing the width of the wood, printing the length of the wood, leveling the sides of the wood material, making profile shapes, making holes in the wood, assembly process. , inspection process. Then proceed with Hazard and Risk Identification in each production process so that the level of danger posed can be known. Seeing the extreme risks that have been described, recommendations that can be given are using PPE in the form of safety gloves, face protection helmets, and carrying out maintenance on machines and making visual displays to remind workers to always use PPE as well as creating good work procedures and conducting K3 training for workers. employees in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Teenagers today are less interested in traditional culture. This is due to technological advancements that make the younger generation addicted to gadgets and outside culture. This threatens the existence of traditional culture. One of the threatened cultures is folklore. There are thousands of folktales throughout Indonesia that teach moral values and character education to children and adolescents. Therefore, it is important to reintroduce folklore to the younger generation by adapting it into media that is close to teenagers, namely digital media. One of the lesser-known folktales is a story from Jambi Province. One of them is entitled Rangkayo Hitam. The design of the folklore comic "Rangkayo Hitam" utilizes digital media, namely LINE Webtoon as the main media for reading stories designed by the author. Comic media was chosen because there are illustrations and dialog arranged in sequence according to the chronology of the story, and digital-based so that it can be accessed easily anytime and anywhere. The results of designing a digital comic "Rangkayo Hitam" in the form of comic illustrations with a size of 800 x 1280 pixels that have been uploaded to the LINE Webtoon application in JPG format. This comic consists of 5 episodes with a minimum of 30 panels in each episode. The author also designed supporting media in the form of t-shirts, acrylic standees, tumblers, mugs, mouse pads, acrylic keychain, hat, and poster.

Abstract

Appearance is something we must pay attention to. Having a good, neat and appropriate appearance will form a good first impression. Appearance is not only seen from the clothes worn, but also the cleanliness and health of the body. Various aspects that need to be considered to maximize appearance are maintaining and caring for the body and face. To introduce the importance of paying attention for appearance to teenagers, by providing media that can be an inspiration for teenagers to pay attention to their appearance, author designed the ilustration book. Books are an easy medium to convey knowledge, entertainment and various other message contents. This illustrated educational book will present various tips for managing a good lifestyle.

Abstract

Malang City has the potential to support economic growth through adequate infrastructure for industry, tourism, education and dynamic culinary delights. Pastry trend is one of an iconic public craze in Malang City, so many cafes or bakeries sell various pastry variants in Malang City especially for those who worls as a food photography. However, there is a lack of promotion at cafes or bakeries in Malang City that provide pastry variant menus, which has an impact on potential public interest. Therefore, media informatin is needed to helps people who are interest in visiting cafes that provide pastry variants with good taste and attractive visuals, through a design that aims to get a visualization of the concept through the media of a photography essay book contains of an information about cafe pastry in town. The design methods used are qualitative data collection methods and creative communication design methods. This photography essay book contains information about pastry also the photos of pastry food, with a book size of 20 x 20 cm with a total of 128 pages, full color, bound, and using a hardcover. The conclusion of this design is to obtain a visualization of the concept of a photography essay book to provide information about pastry through photo visualization accompanied by narration through books and supporting media such as notepads, tote bags, keychains, tumblers, stickers and postcards.

Abstract

Pendet dance is a sacred dance originating from Bali and has very high cultural value. However, in the current digital era, children's knowledge and interest in Balinese culture, especially the Pendet Dance, is starting to decrease. Therefore, there needs to be an effort to preserve Balinese culture in a way that is interesting and easily accessible to children. This research aims to design a digital illustration book about Pendet Dance as a medium for learning and preserving Balinese culture for children aged 6-12 years. This book is designed with attractive illustrations and is equipped with informative text so that it is easy for children to understand. The research method used is a qualitative method with a design approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, questionnaires, literature studies and documentation studies. Meanwhile, the analysis method used in the design process is 5W + 1H with a cyclic strategy. Apart from that, this book can also function as a learning medium for children about the noble values of Balinese culture.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of convenience, efficiency, and user satisfaction in using the 2024 version of the CheckMark Payroll software using usability testing and cognitive walkthrough methods. This research is focused on key functions such as payroll processes, new employee data input, tax settings, and employee status. Data is collected through direct observation of test scenarios specifically designed to evaluate user interaction with the application interface. The results show that this software has a good level of convenience in basic functions, but there are some shortcomings, such as the absence of distinguishing visual elements on buttons/menus, lack of search/filter features for large-scale data management, and limited flexibility of data input. Additionally, the resulting payslip display does not meet user expectations, and some complex features such as tax settings require a more intuitive interface as well as supporting documentation. The conclusion of this study shows that while CheckMark Payroll is feasible for payroll needs, there is a significant opportunity to improve the user experience through improved visual interfaces, optimized data management, increased flexibility of input systems, and the provision of clearer guidance for complex features. With the implementation of these suggestions, the application is expected to increase efficiency, user satisfaction, and relevance in supporting the needs of small to medium-sized businesses.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the process of DNA and protein isolation from lemon leaf (Citrus limon L.), along with the analysis of their purity and concentration. The spectrophotometric analysis of DNA isolation results showed absorbance ratios (260/280 nm) of 2.6382 and 3.03372 for two samples, exceeding the standard range (1.7–1.9), indicating RNA contamination. Agarose gel electrophoresis results revealed no visible DNA bands, despite the use of specific primers for PCR. Protein isolation was conducted using the saltingout method with ammonium sulfate, and concentration analysis was performed using the Bradford method. The absorbance values of the samples ranged from 2.0375 to 2.0472, exceeding the optimal range (0.2–0.8), which affected the accuracy of the concentration calculations. The average protein concentration was 496.2989 ng/mcg. The high absorbance values were likely due to undiluted sample concentrations or contamination from phenolic compounds.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant changes in global food consumption patterns, impacting the balance of macronutrient intake and overall public health. This study is motivated by the need to understand the global distribution and disparity of nutrition supply, which may affect food security and metabolic disease risk. The objective of this research is to analyze per capita calorie, protein, and fat supply across countries and examine its relation to health issues such as obesity and COVID-19 mortality. The methodology uses a Business Intelligence approach involving the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process applied to a global nutrition dataset from Kaggle, which is then visualized through five interactive dashboards using Looker Studio. The results indicate that high nutrient supply does not necessarily originate from economically dominant countries, and regional disparities remain prominent—particularly in developing countries that rely heavily on cereals and vegetable oils. Furthermore, the analysis found no strong correlation between nutritional adequacy and obesity or COVID-19 mortality rates, suggesting the influence of external factors such as lifestyle and healthcare infrastructure. This study concludes that interactive data visualization can provide deeper spatial and thematic insights into global nutrition challenges and serve as a data-driven decision support tool in the fields of public health and nutrition policy.
