Abstract

Technological developments that continue to develop today are increasingly making it easier for humans to do their jobs, as well as what is happening in the automotive world with the new technology it will make it easier for mechanics to do their jobs because of demands from consumers or the desires of the mechanics themselves who continue to grow to know the influence of standard crankshaft changes and modifications. crankshaft crf230 xiema diablo on power and torque on a motorcycle honda gl-100. This test was carried out using a dynotest tool, the effect of changing the standard crankshaft and modifications on power and torque on a motorcycle honda gl-100 using Pertamax Plus fuel with the result 25.7 Hp at engine speed is 8193Rpm, while the maximum torque results is 22.56 Nm at engine speed of 8979 Nm.Keywords: Crankshaft, Power and Torque

Abstract

Resources to produce energy is one of the increasing needs of society. So that there is an imbalance of load growth with the addition of power plants which will cause an energy deficit or an electrical energy crisis. There have been many studies on alternative energy power plants, one of which is the use of waste heat by using a thermoelectric generator. In this study, a thermoelectric power plant was tested by utilizing motorcycle exhaust heat for charging AAA batteries. When testing the output search, it was found that the highest current in a parallel circuit with 4 thermoelectrics is 104.4 mA and the highest voltage in a series circuit with 4 thermoelectrics is 0.83 V. Then, a AAA battery charging test is carried out using a 4 thermoelectric series circuit. From the results of the battery charging test, it was found that the battery voltage increased over the charging time period from the original 0.08 V to 1.05 V at the end of the charging time period. the current flowing in the circuit during the first 10 minutes is 48.2 mA, at the 20th minute it is 65.5 mA, at the 30th minute it reaches 91.2.Keywords: thermoelectric, energy generation, battery charging

Abstract

From various sources of problems with the Honda Megapro motorcycle engine when using the original Honda Megapro clutch, many say that the engine performance is not optimal, and from several sources suggest that to overcome these problems one of them is to replace the clutch using a Tossa 200 clutch. will try to replace the Honda Megapro clutch with a Tossa 200 clutch to prove the story among motorcycle children who tells that replacing a Honda Megparo clutch with a Tossa 200 clutch can affect engine performance, namely power and torque, the purpose of this study is to determine the difference between power and torque before and after After using the coupling, this test method is carried out using a dynotest tool for data collection. The power and torque produced on the Honda Megapro engine using the Megapro clutch is a maximum power of 19.2 hp with an engine speed of 10250 rpm and a maximum torque of 15.42 Nm at 6500 rpm while using the Tossa 200 clutch produces a maximum power of 21.8 The hp at the engine speed of 10750 Rpm and the maximum torque of 15.96 Nm at the engine speed of 9500 Rpm, the increase in power and torque in the Tossa 200 clutch is due to the components in the Tossa 200 clutch having 6 clutch pads, 6 clutch springs and 5 clutch plates so that the clutch is gripped. the clutch becomes stronger and minimizes the occurrence of slippage so that the clutch works optimally.Keywords: Tossa 200 clutch, Honda Megapro clutch, power, torque, daynote

Abstract

ABSTRAK Bahan bakar merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan teknologi otomotif. Bahan bakar yang masih sangat populer digunakan saat ini adalah bahan bakar fosil. Seiring perkembangan zaman banyak peneliti yang mencari sumber bahan bakar alternatif, mengingat terbatasnya jumlah bahan bakar fosil di bumi. Salah satu alternatif yang cukup menarik perhatian adalah bahan bakar olahan plastik. Plastik yang tadinya merupakan ancaman terbesar dalam pencemaran lingkungan dapat diolah menjadi bahan bakar dengan metode pirolisis. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian bahan bakar minyak yang dihasilkan dengan jenis sampah plastik PP dan PE menjadi variabel terikatnya. Dari kedua jenis plastik, Plastik PP memiliki prosentase hasil minyak 87%, sedangkan plastik jenis PE prosentasenya 85%. Pada hasil pengujian massa jenis bahan bakar minyak hasil pirolisis berkisar 0,716-0,770 g/mL dengan massa jenis terendah adalahh bensin PE dan tertinggi adalah solar PE. Untuk nilai RON yang dimiliki bensin hasil pirolisis mencapai 88,8 untuk kedua jenis plastik. Disamping itu, angka Cetane solar yang dihasilkan masih tergolong rendah yaitu 42,5 untuk solar PP dan 43 untuk solar PE. Hal ini menunjukkan solar yang dihasilkan dari proses pirolisis membutuhkan perlakuan tambahan seperti pemurnian timbal ataupun dicampuran dengan biodiesel untuk meningkatkan angka Cetane-nya agar dapat digunakan untuk mesin diesel pada umumnya. Kata Kunci : Pirolisis, Pengolahan Sampah Plastik, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Bahan Bakar Plastik ABSTRACT Fuel is one of vital role in the expansion of automotive technology. The most popular fuel which is still used by the people is Fossil fuels. Along with the times, many researchers are looking for alternative fuel sources. Given the limited amount of fossil fuels on earth, has attracted much attention from reasearchs team to find out the alternative fuel sources. One of the interesting alternative source is fuel from processed plastic. Plastic which was once the biggest threat of pollution for the environment can be processed into the fuels by the pyrolysis method. These study were carried out to analyze the fuel oil which produced with PP and PE plastic as the dependent variable. From the two types of plastic, PP plastic has an oil yield percentage of 87%, while the percentage of PE plastic is 85%. In the test results, the density of the pyrolysis fuel oil ranged from 0.716-0.770 g/mL with the lowest density being PE gasoline and the highest being PE diesel. RON of pyrolysis gasoline reaches 88.8 for both types of plastic. In addition, the cetane number of diesel produced is still relatively low, namely 42.5 for PP diesel and 43 for PE diesel. This shows that diesel produced from the pyrolysis process requires additional treatment such as purification of lead or mixed with biodiesel to increase its cetane number so that it can be used for diesel engines in general. Abstract

installation of Groundstrap on spark plug wires as grounding spark plug wires so that the fire voltage from the coil will focus on the spark plugs. The increase in power and torque occurs because the groundstrap is a type of Ignition Booster whose function is to stabilize the electric current produced by the coil so that the spark plugs can be bigger and more stable, remove stray frequencies or indeterminate voltages from the coil, focus and narrow the current, so that it becomes a firing point towards the spark plug for use as a combustion flame. A steady current produces a good fire, so that the combustion explosion is complete. The method used in this study is the experimental method (direct trial) by making a Groundstrap circuit to determine power and torque in a motorcycle gasoline engine using a Dynotest tool for adding Groundstrap to spark plug wires. In this study using copper wire with a diameter of 0.6 mm and there were 3 variables for the number of turns of the groundstrap wire, namely 60 turns, 90 turns, and 120 turns. In 2008 there was an increase in general, the maximum power and torque yields for standard conditions were 8.3 HP and 8.79 NM, the test on winding 120 experienced the most significant increase of 1.7 HP from standard conditions to 10.0 HP and the torque reaches 3.95 NM from standard conditions to 12.74 NM Keywords: Groundstrap, Copper Wire Coil, Power and Torque

Abstract

ABSTRACT When electricity flows through the spark plug wire, an electromagnetic field occurs which will cause damage to the sparks at the tip of the spark plug electrode in the form of a decrease in the peak of combustion. One way to overcome this problem is to stabilize the electric current generated by the coil by using an ignition booster. There are various types of Ignition Booster, one of which is Groundstrap. Groundstrap is one type of Ignition Booster whose function is to stabilize the electric current generated by the coil so that the spark plug can be bigger and more stable. The purpose of this research is to find out which of the three research variables adding the Groundstrap has the best effect on power and torque on a new Honda motorcycle. mega pro 150 cc in 2013. In this study, power and torque were tested with the addition of three variables of Groundstrap wire diameter, namely 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, and 0.8 mm, with the same number of turns, namely 50 turns. then tested using the Dynotest tool. From the results of tests that have been carried out on three Groundstrap variables, that there is an effect of adding Groundstrap to power and torque, then the best research results are when using the Groundstrap variable diameter of 0.8 mm with the results of the research that at 8500 RPM engine speed produces a power of 0.8 mm. 13.7 HP, and at 6000 RPM engine speed produces a torque of 13.73 Nm. Abstract

Pengelasan merupakan suatu metode penyambungan logam yang memanfaatkan penetrasi panas atau kalor yang dihasilkan. Panas dan kemudian mendinginnya sambungan logam merupakan suatu fenomena yang alamiah. Temperatur pendinginan yang begitu cepat menciptakan struktur yang beragam sehingga kemampuan mekanik suatu logam mengalami perubahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh hardening dengan media pendingin yang berbeda terhadap hasil pengelasan SMAW. Pengujian nilai kekuatan tarik tertinggi pada proses hardening dengan media pendingin oli gardan sebesar 467,51 N/mm2 dan nilai kekuatan tarik terendah pada proses hardening dengan media pendingin serbuk arang sebesar 427,40 N/mm2. Pengujian nilai kekerasan tertinggi pada proses hardening dengan media pendingin Air temperatur rendah sebesar 202,62 HB dan nilai kekerasan terendah pada proses hardening dengan media pendingin Serbuk arang sebesar 149,92 HB.Kata kunci: pengelasan SMAW, Hardening, Oli gardan, Serbuk arang, Air temperatur rendah

Abstract

Abstract The combustion of fuel inside the combustion chamber takes place as an explosion. This process occurs very quickly and makes a very loud or noisy sound. The function of the muffler is as a silencer and regulates the flow direction of combustion gases to flow regularly. The construction of the free flow exhaust is an exhaust without barriers with relatively wasteful fuel consumption, both working on engines with high revs. Previous researchers replaced the exhaust with a size of tenths of a centimeter of a meter, while in this final project used a fifth of a centimeter. The goal to be achieved by the author in writing this final project is to find out the use of free flow exhaust on power and torque on Yamaha Byson 150cc motorcycles. This final project is carried out by the method of taking test data from the dynotest, using the dynotester tool. The test results are the influence of free flow exhaust measuring 25 cm, 30 cm and standard exhaust, resulting in the most optimal increase in power and torque on a 30 cm free flow exhaust with maximum power data of 13.1 HP at 6750 RPM, and maximum torque reaching 15.35 Nm at 4500 RPM, this is due to the influence of silencer length and without any obstacles, namely the catalic converter which makes the vehicle's breath longer so that it can get peak power at engine speed higher ones. Keywords: α-amylase enzyme; Fennel leaves; Decrease in glucose Abstrak A Pembakaran bahan bakar di dalam ruang bakar berlangsung sebagai ledakan. Proses ini terjadi sangat cepat dan menimbulkan suara yang sangat keras atau bising. Fungsi dari knalpot (muffler) adalah sebagai peredam suara dan mengatur arah aliran gas-gas hasil pembakaran agar mengalir dengan teratur. Konstruksi dari knalpot free flow yaitu knalpot tanpa sekat hambatan dengan konsumsi bahan bakar yang relatif boros, baik bekerja pada mesin dengan putaran tinggi. Peneliti terdahulu mengganti knalpot dengan ukuran persepuluh senti meter, sedangkan dalam tugas akhir ini menggunakan perlima sentimeter. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai oleh penulis pada penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan knalpot free flow terhadap daya dan torsi pada sepeda motor Yamaha Byson 150cc. Tugas akhir ini dilakukan dengan metode pengambilan data uji dari dynotest, menggunakan alat dynotester. Hasil pengujian yaitu pengaruh knalpot free flow ukuran 25 cm, 30 cm dan knalpot standar, menghasilkan peningkatan daya dan torsi paling optimal pada knalpot free flow ukuran 30 cm dengan data daya maksimum sebesar 13,1 HP pada 6750 RPM, dan torsi maksimum mencapai 15,35 Nm pada 4500 RPM, hal ini karena pengaruh panjang silencer dan tanpa adanya hambatan yaitu catalic converter yang membuat nafas kendaraan lebih panjang sehingga mampu mendapatkan puncak daya pada putaran mesin yang lebih tinggi.. Abstract

Abstract The carburetor is the most important part of a motorcycle. The carburetor serves to mix fuel and air in a certain ratio so that it becomes a burning gas needed by the motor engine. The goal to be achieved by the author in writing is to find out the use of aftermarket carburetors for power and torque on Yamaha byson 150cc motorcycles, data retrieval methods using dynamometer tools. The results of the study on the effect of using aftermarket carburetors type PE26, PE28 and standard carburetors. Produces the most optimal power on the PE 26 carburetor with a maximum power of 13.8 Hp at 6578 RPM. The maximum torque reaches 16.39 Nm at 5755 RPM, this is due to the influence of different types of carburetors and larger default main jets so that they are able to get peak power at higher engine speeds. Keywords: Karburator; Daya; Torsi. Abstrak Karburator merupakan bagian terpenting dari sepeda motor. Karburator berfungsi untuk mencampur bahan bakar dan udara dalam perbandingan tertentu sehingga menjadi gas pembakar yang dibutuhkan oleh mesin motor. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai oleh penulis pada penulisan adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan karburator aftermarket terdahap daya dan torsi pada sepeda motor Yamaha byson 150cc, Metode pengambilan data menggunakan alat dynamometer. Hasil penelitian pengaruh penggunaan karburator aftermarket tipe PE26, PE28 dan karburator standard. Menghasilkan daya yang paling optimal pada karburator PE 26 dengan daya maksimum sebesar 13,8 Hp pada 6578 RPM. Torsi maksimum mencapai 16,39 Nm pada 5755 RPM, hal ini karena pengaruh perbedaan tipe karburator dan main jet bawaan yang lebih besar sehingga mampu mendapatkan puncak daya pada putaran mesin yang lebih tinggi. Abstract

Knowing the effect of standard exhaust and modifications to the power and torque of the RX king 135cc motorcycle. This test is carried out using the dynotest tool, the effect of standard exhaust and modified exhaust filter holes of 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm. produces the most optimal power increase in the 2mm wide exhaust filter with a result of 16.6hp at 9059 rpm engine speed. Whereas for optimal torque performance, the standard exhaust produces a maximum torque of 14.43 Nm at 6289 rpm engine speed. Keywords: Exhaust; Power; and Torque Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi yang terus berkembang dewasa ini semakin mempermudah manusia dalam melakukan pekerjaannya, begitu juga yang terjadi pada dunia otomotif dengan adanya teknologi-teknologi baru tersebut akan semakin mempermudah mekanis melakukan pekerjaannya karena tuntutan dari konsumen atau keinginan dan mekanik sendiri yang terus berkembang Mengetahui pengaruh knalpot standar dan modifikasi terhadap daya dan torsi sepeda motor RX king 135cc. Pengujian ini dilakukan menggunakan alat dynotest, pengaruh knalpot standar dan knalpot modifikasi lubang saringan 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, dan 8mm. menghasilkan peningkatan daya paling optimal pada variasi saringan knalpot luabng 2mm dengan hasil sebesar 16.6hp pada putaran mesin 9059 rpm. Sedangkan untuk peforma torsi hasil yang optimal yaitu pada knalpot standar menghasilkan torsi maksimun sebesar 14.43 Nm pada putaran mesin 6289 rpm. Kata kunci: Knalpot; Daya; dan Torsi.
