Abstract

The phenomenon of flexing K-Pop photocards on social media has become increasingly prominent within digital fandom communities; however, studies on its impact on adolescents’ consumer behavior remain limited. This study aims to analyze the contribution of photocard flexing activities to the emergence of panic buying behavior among K-Pop fans, particularly through social mechanisms such as community pressure and the effect of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through semi-structured interviews involving informants active on social media and experienced in panic buying, as well as documentation of posts from Instagram, TikTok, and X platforms. Data were analyzed using a thematic approach based on the Lifestyle Exposure Theory (LET) framework. The findings reveal that high exposure to flexing content, when combined with FoMO and social pressure within fan communities, significantly triggers excessive impulsive buying behavior. These findings reinforce the LET framework, which posits that digital lifestyles increase exposure to consumerist stimuli. The study concludes that social media plays a crucial role in shaping risky emotional consumption patterns, highlighting the importance of digital literacy as a preventive strategy. The implications of this research include the enrichment of literature on digital consumer behavior and practical recommendations for governments, educational institutions, and fandom communities to design educational interventions aimed at mitigating the psychological and social effects of panic buying. This study also opens avenues for further research on the role of social media algorithms in mediating adolescents’ consumption patterns.

Abstract

This study is driven by the need for effective pedagogical approaches for students with specific learning difficulties, particularly dyslexia, amid the limitations of traditional methods in the digital era. The objective of the research is to determine the effectiveness of educational technology in improving the reading and writing skills of dyslexic students at SDN Tegal Besar 03 Jember. A qualitative case study method was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study explores the implementation of technology in an inclusive learning environment, utilizing tools such as Amazon Polly Text-To-Speech, multisensory methods with letter blocks, flashcard media, the Secil application, and the ABC e-book. The findings reveal that the combination of digital tools and multisensory strategies significantly supports the development of reading and writing skills in dyslexic students, particularly in word recognition, comprehension, and basic literacy. Identified challenges include limited access to technological devices, teachers’ readiness in using technology, and varied student responses to the applied methods. The study concludes that the use of educational technology is highly effective in supporting inclusive education for students with dyslexia. Its implications suggest that technology holds substantial potential in fostering a more equitable and accessible education system. The study recommends further research to ensure the sustainability of outcomes and to reinforce the strategic role of technology in future inclusive education.

Abstract

The literacy skills of primary school students in Indonesia remain at a low level, highlighting the need for more innovative and participatory strategies in Bahasa Indonesia instruction. One promising instructional model is Collaborative Learning, which emphasizes social interaction and cooperation among students to build shared understanding. This study aims to quantitatively analyze the effectiveness of the Collaborative Learning model in Bahasa Indonesia instruction through a meta-analytical method. A total of seven quantitative studies meeting the inclusion criteria were analyzed using a random-effects model approach. The analysis yielded an average effect size of g = 1.20, categorized as very large, with a high level of heterogeneity (I² = 83.6%). These findings indicate that the Collaborative Learning model consistently has a positive impact on student learning outcomes and language skills, particularly in writing, speaking, and reading comprehension. Furthermore, publication bias analysis revealed no indications of selective reporting of significant results, reinforcing the validity of the findings. The study concludes that Collaborative Learning is an effective approach to enhancing foundational literacy among primary school students. Its implication is that this model should be widely integrated into Bahasa Indonesia instruction to support literacy development and the optimal implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

The limited in-depth research on the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam, or PAI) serves as the background for this study, given the significant impact of this issue on the quality of learning and character formation among lower secondary school students. The objective of this research is to examine the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in PAI instruction, identify its supporting and inhibiting factors, and explore teachers’ and students’ perspectives on the curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Karanganyar. This study employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, using a thematic analysis framework. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in PAI has undergone notable adaptation, particularly through the application of differentiated instruction and the execution of Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) reinforcement projects. These findings align with constructivist principles and student-centered learning. The study concludes that teacher readiness, school principal support, and the availability of learning resources are key factors determining the successful implementation of the curriculum. The implications include theoretical contributions to curriculum literature in religious education, as well as practical recommendations for the Ministry of Education and schools to enhance PAI teacher training and provide adequate supporting facilities. The study also opens avenues for further research on the long-term effects of the Kurikulum Merdeka on students’ academic achievement and the development of religious character.

Abstract

The formation of student character through religious habituation strategies and the school environment plays a crucial role in shaping a morally upright and responsible generation. This study aims to examine the influence of religious habituation strategies and the school environment, both individually and simultaneously on character formation among students at MTs Negeri 9 Jombang. A quantitative approach was employed using an ex post facto design, with a sample of 261 students selected through random sampling. Data were collected using a 30-item questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that both religious habituation strategies and the school environment have a significant partial influence on students’ character formation. Simultaneously, these variables also show a significant combined effect in strengthening student character. These results reinforce theories on the critical role of values-based education and environmental factors in shaping student personality in Islamic educational institutions. The study concludes that optimizing religious habituation programs and creating a supportive learning environment are strategic steps in fostering students’ positive character development. The implications include strengthening school policies to build a holistic educational culture within madrasahs and encouraging further research on the effectiveness of character education interventions across broader educational levels.

Abstract

The development of the fashion industry in the era of globalization demands adaptation to trends without abandoning cultural identity, making culture-based learning essential in fashion design education. This study aims to explore the integration of local cultural elements into the fashion design education curriculum and to assess its impact on learning through bibliometric analysis. The bibliometric method was conducted using Scopus data on publications related to fashion design and education, yielding 100 documents analyzed to identify publication trends, author and affiliation productivity, and the most cited articles. The findings reveal an annual publication growth rate of 14.9%, indicating rising interest in this topic. The analysis also identifies five of the most productive affiliations and authors, with major contributions from countries such as China, South Korea, and the United States. This study concludes that integrating local cultural values into fashion design education has considerable potential to be developed with the support of modern technology. The implications provide a foundation for developing a fashion design curriculum that is sustainable, adaptive, and culturally relevant amid the challenges of the global industry.

Abstract

The relationship between seniors and juniors in student organizations often forms a patronistic pattern that, on one hand, can lead to dependency but, on the other, may function as a constructive mentoring mechanism. This study aims to describe the forms of patron relations in senior-junior dynamics and their impact on the cadre formation process and character development of organizational members. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to eighteen respondents and informal interviews with two active members of DEMA FTIK UIN Palangka Raya, 2025/2026 administration. The results indicate that patron culture is predominantly perceived as a form of guidance, empowerment, and moral support from seniors to juniors. This relationship contributes to strengthening the character of cadres in areas such as responsibility, discipline, and initiative, although indications of dependency in decision-making processes were still observed. These findings align with James C. Scott’s patron-client theory, which emphasizes reciprocal relationships marked by positional inequality. This study contributes to the development of cadre formation strategies grounded in equality, participation, and empowerment within student organizations.

Abstract

The low ability of primary school students to write pantun (traditional Indonesian poetry) remains a major issue, primarily due to a lack of understanding of pantun structure and rules, the dominance of conventional teaching methods, limited use of interactive media, and minimal integration of local values into learning materials. This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of an interactive digital learning medium named EMOSA PANDADI (E-Modul Sastra Pantun dengan Kearifan Lokal Purwodadi) to enhance pantun writing literacy among fifth-grade students. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Validation was conducted by subject matter and media experts, along with practicality testing by teachers and students. Validation results indicate that the media is highly feasible, with an average score of 4.6 from content experts and 4.2 from media experts. Teacher responses yielded an average score of 4.5, while student learning outcomes improved from a pretest score of 58 to a posttest score of 86, with an N-Gain value of 0.66, categorized as moderate to high. Students also responded very positively, with an average score of 4.5. The study concludes that the EMOSA PANDADI flipbook is both effective and suitable for use in Indonesian language instruction, particularly in pantun writing. The media not only improves learning outcomes but also fosters literacy enthusiasm through an interactive, enjoyable, and culturally grounded approach, making it highly relevant for promoting independent learning and strengthening student character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the audiolingual method in Arabic language learning to enhance students' speaking skills (mahārah kalām) at SMP IT Al Hijrah 2 Medan. The research focuses on analyzing the use of the audiolingual method and its impact on students' speaking abilities. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through classroom observation, interviews, and documentation of the learning process. Observations were conducted to understand the use of the audiolingual method, while interviews explored students' and teachers' perspectives on the effectiveness of this method in improving speaking skills. Documentation includes recordings of the learning process, teaching materials, and results of oral tests. The research findings indicate that the use of the audiolingual method has a positive effect on enhancing fluency in speaking, pronunciation accuracy, and students' confidence in speaking Arabic. However, challenges such as limited media were identified.

Abstract

Character education is a crucial foundation in shaping students into individuals with noble character, particularly amid the moral decline of younger generations and the growing need for educational models that instill religious values. This study aims to examine the implementation of Asmaul Husna recitation in character development at MTS Miftahul Hasan. Asmaul Husna, representing the Most Beautiful Names of Allah, contains moral and spiritual values that can be instilled from an early age. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The research subjects included students and teachers. The findings reveal that the daily morning recitation of Asmaul Husna contributes significantly to the development of students’ Islamic character. Supporting factors include active student participation, the role of teachers, and the availability of facilities, while key obstacles involve lack of discipline, delayed implementation, and limited awareness among some students. The study concludes that the recitation of Asmaul Husna is an effective habituation practice for fostering students’ religious character and can serve as a model for strengthening character education in school environments.
