Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students and this condition was caused by the fact that during the preparation of learning planning it was found that the attachments to the teaching modules were incomplete because they were not accompanied by learning media attachments, the eval_uation questions had not been differentiated between formative and summative, the learning activities had not been explained. which are included in the Pancasila student profile and many still use the word student which should be replaced with student. The aim of this research is to describe the improvement in student learning outcomes through the Index Card Match model in Pancasila education learning in class V at SDN 05 Tarok Dipo, Bukittinggi City. This research is classroom action research (PTK) which uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was carried out in two cycles, namely cycle I consisting of 2 meetings and cycle II consisting of 1 meeting. Each cycle includes four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were teachers and students of class V SDN 05 Tarok Dipo with a total of 25 students. Data collection techniques include observation, tests and non-tests. The results of the research showed an increase in a) the Teaching Module in cycle I with an average of 89.3% (Good), and in cycle II 96.4% (Very Good), b) implementation of learning in the teacher aspect of cycle I with an average of 73, 6% (Fair) and cycle II 93.2%, (Very Good) while the implementation of learning aspects for students in cycle I averaged 73.6% (Fair), cycle II 93.2% (Very Good), c) Student learning outcomes in cycle I averaged 74 (Fair) and cycle II 87.9 (Good). Based on these results, it can be concluded that through the Index Card Match model, student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education lessons can improve.

Abstract

Today's rapid and sophisticated technological advances have created problems. Without being accompanied by moral fortification from the school or family, it can have a negative impact on students. Moral degradation is currently an increasingly worrying problem, including in Indonesia, which is caused by the negative influence of western culture and thought patterns, which are normalized by information technology and lead to various actions that are contrary to religion and even criminal in nature. Various phenomena related to the decline in ethics in society, especially juvenile delinquency, are proof that moral education needs to be strengthened in education system. Tazkiyyatun nafs purification of the soul taught by Imam Al Ghazali is a very rich and comprehensive concept of moral education. The aim of this research is to find out and analyze how moral education is in the concept of tazkiyatun nafs from AL-Ghazali's perspective, as well as the relevance of moral education from tazkiyatun nafs from Al-Ghazali's perspective in overcoming the moral decline of today's young generation. A qualitative approach was used in this research to obtain in-depth results through literature study. The results show that Imam Al-Ghazali developed the concept of tazkiyatun nafs, which means purification of the soul through cleansing oneself of despicable traits and replacing them with habituation to praiseworthy traits. Apart from that, Al-Ghazali's thoughts are a reference in dealing with current educational problems, where students' behavior often does not reflect moral values. By integrating the concept of tazkiyatun nafs, the education system can form a generation that has faith, noble character and piety, according to what Al-Ghazali emphasized regarding the importance of forming moral character through education which is actualized through habituation and example.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a very important factor in the learning process. High learning motivation can encourage students to undertake learning activities and will have an impact on student learning achievement. The study aims to look at the effectiveness of the implementation of information services with role-playing techniques to improve student learning motivation. This study uses a quantitative approach, with the kind of research Quasi Experiment project The Non Equivalent Control Group. As for the population in this study is the whole of students SMAN 2 Palembayan classes X and XI, sampling using purposive samplings, then sampled are classes XIF2 and XIF3. The technique used in the data collection is by spreading questionnaires in the form of motivational learning racket, further analysed using the comparison of the gain score table and the Mann U Whitney 2 Independent Sample Test. The results of this study show that the implementation of information services with role-playing techniques can improve student learning motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the information literacy competency of generation Z mental health topics in the Digital Era (Case Study of Padang State University FBS Students). Information literacy competency is measured using the seven pillars SCONUL information literacy model with indicators: identify, scope, plan, gather, eval_uate, manage, and present. This research method is quantitative descriptive. The population of this research is FBS students class of 2020 totaling 1,080 population. The sample in this study amounted to 91 samples using the Slovin formula and the technique used was proportional random sampling. Data collection in this study used multiple choice test questions. Based on the research results, it is known that: (1) ability regarding identify is in the medium category with an average of 57.6; (2) ability regarding scope is in the medium category with an average of 56.7; (3) ability regarding plans is in the good category with an average of 61.9; (4) the ability to gather is in the medium category with an average of 58; (5) the ability to eval_uate is in the good category with an average of 67.7; (6) the ability to manage is in the good category with an average of 63; (7) ability regarding the present is in the good category with an average of 62.8. Overall the indicator obtained an average of 61.1 in the good category, this shows that students have information literacy skills on mental health topics.

Abstract

The experience of playing online games can make players feel happy and can eventually lead to addiction or dependence. Online game addiction can have an unfavorable impact on several aspects of student life. The purpose of this study is to see the effectiveness of the implementation of group counseling services in reducing online game addiction. This study used a quantitative approach using experimental methods. The research design used is pre-experiment, using a one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were phase F students at SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Basung, the sampling technique used purposive sampling technique, then based on the appropriate criteria, 12 students were obtained who experienced online game addiction. The technique used to collect data is by distributing online game addiction scales, then the results are analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test formula. The results showed that the implementation of group counseling services was effective in reducing online game addiction in students at SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Basung. In particular, the use of group counseling services can significantly reduce online game addiction.

Abstract

Field Experience Practice Activities for Geography Education students in the July-December 2023 period were carried out in the second year of implementing the Independent Curriculum in a number of schools in Bukittinggi City. This research aims to analyze the difficulties experienced by Geography Education students for the July-December 2023 period in implementing the Independent Curriculum in State High Schools and State Islamic high School in Bukittinggi City. The research method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The results of this research show that the difficulties experienced by Geography Education students occurred in the planning, implementation and assessment of the learning process. Difficulties experienced by students are influenced by factors from within the student as well as factors from outside the student, originating from the students, the environment and learning support facilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the TikTok application affects students' interest in learning geography subjects at SMA Muhammadiyah 09 Kualuh Hulu, North LabuhanBaatu Regency. This study uses quantitative research on the technique used, namely purposive sampling. This research has 2 classes as a sample. The number of respondents was 72 students. It is divided into an experimental class and a control class. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, questionnaires, pretest posttest questions and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this study used validity tests, reliability tests, descriptive statistical analysis, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The results obtained are in accordance with the researcher's calculations, there is an influence of the TikTok application on the learning interest of students at SMA Muhammadiyah 09 Kualuh Hulu, LabuhanBatu Utara Regency, North Sumatra province, This can be seen from the results of the research on the value of students' learning interest scores in experimental classes that use the TikTok application as a learning medium is higher than in the control class using the conventional method (lecture). In addition, judging from the significance value of 0.000 is less than 0.05 thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, the hypothesis states that social media has an effect on students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine; 1) what is the work space layout in the Padang City Library and Archives Service; 2) what is the attitude of librarians at the Padang City Library and Archives Service; 3) what is the relationship between librarians' attitudes towards work space layout in the Padang City Library and Archives Service. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The population of this research was 15 librarians with a sample of 15 respondents. Sampling used a saturated sampling technique. The main instrument of this research is a questionnaire. The instrument tests used are validity tests and reliability tests. Test the analysis requirements using the Spearman rank correlation test, hypothesis test and coefficient of determination test. The research results show that the results of the Spearman Rank correlation analysis show that the correlation between work space layout and librarian attitudes is 0.744. With a correlation value of 0.744, if seen from the table, this figure is in the interval 0.60 – 0.799 with a strong level of relationship. Based on the correlation coefficient hypothesis test, it can be seen that the value of Fcount (13.075) > Ftable (5.14) means there is a relationship between the work space layout variable and the librarian attitude variable. The results of this research found that the higher the work space layout in the library, the higher the quality of the librarian's attitude in working in the library.

Abstract

This study analyzes Typhoid Fever incidence at General Hospital Takum from 2012 to 2021 using ARIMA model. The initial data was non-stationary, necessitating differencing to achieve stationarity. The ARIMA (4,1,1) model, selected based on AIC, AICC, and BIC criteria, showed parameters within stationarity and invertibility constraints. Diagnostic tests validated the model's robustness, with Box-Ljung (Chi-Square = 6.7435, p = 0.7598), Shapiro-Wilk (W = 0.9754, p = 0.1213), and ARCH-LM (Chi-Square = 5.8762, p = 0.8176) results supporting its adequacy. Forecasts for the next 24 months indicate a significant upward trend in Typhoid Fever cases. The study recommends among others a regular update to the model with new data to ensure accuracy, consideration of additional variables that may influence Typhoid Fever trends, and implementation of targeted public health interventions based on forecasted trends to mitigate the rising incidence.

Abstract

This study carried out a statistical analysis of attitudinal changes towards female breadwinners in Wukari Local Government Area, Taraba State, Nigeria. Using a survey research method, a sample of 400 were examined. Primary data were collected using structured questionnaire and analysed using frequency counts and simple percent. Hypothesis were tested using the chi-square statistic. The findings reveal that a significant proportion of respondents recognize the importance of defining roles and responsibilities within the family, acknowledging the potential impact of female breadwinners on traditional family structures. Additionally, a notable portion of respondents agree that female breadwinners face financial and other challenges. Also, the findings reveal a significant shift in gender roles, driven by economic opportunities, social dynamics, and cultural norms. Hypothesis testing further demonstrates a significant increase in female breadwinners in the area, attributed to economic, social, and cultural factors. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for understanding and recommends awareness programs, policy interventions, educational initiatives in Wukari LGA.
