Abstract

Learning about human body parts at the elementary school level generally still relies on conventional methods, such as lectures and the use of textbooks. These methods often make students less interested and have difficulty understanding the material in depth. However, in the early childhood development stage, learning should be carried out with an approach that involves interaction, visualization, and fun activities. Therefore, innovative learning media are needed that can combine educational and entertainment elements (edutainment) to make the material easier to understand while increasing learning motivation. This study aims to design and develop an Android-based educational game application using Construct 2 aimed at helping students of SDN Pandat 1 learn human body parts interactively. The research method used is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collection, creation, testing, and distribution. Research data were collected through direct observation in class, interviews with teachers, and documentation of learning activities. The resulting application contains material on human body parts presented in the form of text, images, animations, and is equipped with interactive quizzes to measure student understanding. Test results show that the application can run well on various Android devices with an attractive appearance and navigation that is easy for children to use. Student trials showed increased interest in learning and understanding of the material. Teacher responses were also positive, particularly regarding the app's ease of use and its alignment with the elementary school curriculum. These findings indicate that game-based learning media can be an effective alternative for improving the quality of learning, particularly in materials requiring visual and interactive conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of visual communication through the application of User Experience Design (UXD) principles on the virtual event website of Festival Sains dan Budaya. In the context of virtual events, effective visual communication plays a pivotal role in attracting user participation, conveying information clearly, and ensuring a positive user experience. The research employs a qualitative method, incorporating interviews, observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs) involving virtual event organizers, graphic designers, and website developers. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis to identify the implementation of UXD principles on the website festivalsainsbudaya.com/virtual-2024. The findings reveal four main categories of UXD implementation. First, Scale for Layout Setting, which includes minimalist header and footer design, centralized alignment, enlarged link access, and the use of wide whitespace to enhance readability. Second, Visual Hierarchy as Site Mapping/Intuitive, emphasizing a striking first impression and clear menu options presented at the start for intuitive navigation. Third, Balance & Contrast at the Same Time, achieved through contrasting button links, consistent design patterns, and the application of a global template to maintain brand coherence. Fourth, Media Interactive and Entertain Primarily, featuring feedback forms, varied media formats, high readability, motion elements, and easy navigation to increase user engagement. Overall, the virtual event website demonstrates strong adherence to UXD principles, resulting in intuitive navigation, a clear and logical information hierarchy, consistent visual design, and interactive media integration that enhances user engagement. These findings indicate that the application of UXD principles not only supports effective visual communication but also contributes significantly to user satisfaction and participation rates. This research underscores the importance of aligning UXD strategies with the goals of virtual cultural events, offering practical insights for future website development in the fields of culture, science, and public engagement.

Abstract

Sentiment analysis is the process of automatically extracting, processing, and understanding unstructured text data to obtain sentiment information contained in an opinion. This study conducted a sentiment analysis of cashless reviews using a web-based knowledge discovery database method. The knowledge discovery database method aims to extract hidden knowledge or information in previously unknown data, through the stages of data selection, preprocessing, transformation, data mining, and evaluation of 300 training data and 250 test data. Based on the original labels, there were 46 positive comments and 204 negative comments, while the prediction results showed 34 positive comments and 216 negative comments. The evaluation process produced an accuracy rate of 83.2% for positive labels and 83.2% for negative labels. The precision and recall values differed for each label, namely: positive labels had a precision of 55.88% and negative labels of 87.50%; positive labels had a recall of 41.30% and negative labels of 92.65%. Based on these scores, negative reviews were more dominant than positive reviews regarding the use of cashless. Positive sentiment focused on the ease of transactions through cashless payments, while negative sentiment focused on technical issues during payments, refunds, and frozen PayLater accounts. Therefore, e-commerce platforms implementing cashless payments need to provide better education and ensure transparency of digital processes to ensure users feel safer and more comfortable with cashless transactions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing customer satisfaction in automotive photography services in Jakarta using the PIECES method, which consists of six main components: Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Service. The research approach used was quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who had used automotive photography services in Jakarta. The research instrument was designed to measure customer perceptions of each PIECES component and their overall level of satisfaction. The analysis results show that all PIECES components have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Service and Performance factors emerged as the most dominant variables in increasing satisfaction. This indicates that responsive, friendly, and professional service quality, as well as fast and reliable system performance, play an important role in shaping positive customer perceptions. The Information component also contributes by providing accurate and relevant information, while Economy reflects customers' assessment of price affordability. The Control aspect helps maintain consistent results, and Efficiency supports the smoothness of the service process. These findings have practical implications for creative service industry players, particularly in the automotive photography sector. Improving service quality (Service) can be done through human resource training, customer interaction management, and rapid response to consumer needs. Meanwhile, optimizing system performance (Performance) can be achieved by using high-quality photography equipment, effective workflows, and the use of digital technology. Overall, this study confirms that the PIECES-based approach can be a strategic reference in increasing customer satisfaction, while strengthening the competitiveness of automotive photography businesses in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a website-based financial information system to support the digital transformation process at PT. Gilang Arthajaya Abadi. The background of this study stems from the problem of managing financial transactions that are still carried out manually without the support of a computerized system, resulting in obstacles in data retrieval, the risk of information loss, and difficulties in recapitulating transaction data. To overcome these problems, this study uses the waterfall system development method which has a structured and sequential approach, including the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This method was chosen because the system requirements have been clearly defined from the beginning, thus minimizing the possibility of changes during the development process. The system design was carried out using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize the needs and process flow, while the technologies used include PHP as a programming language, MySQL as a database, and the Laravel framework to support the development of an efficient, structured, and easily developed system in the future. The resulting system is able to facilitate the recording of financial transactions in a more structured manner, increase data accuracy, minimize the risk of information loss due to human error, and accelerate the process of searching and creating financial reports. Test results indicate that all developed features, such as transaction recording, data management, and report generation, function well according to user needs. Implementation of this system is expected to improve the company's operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and serve as the first step in building an integrated digital ecosystem at PT. Gilang Arthajaya Abadi. This research also opens up opportunities for further development, such as integration with online payment systems and big data-based financial analytics to support the company's strategic decision-making.

Abstract

Visual-based social media platforms like Instagram have given rise to the phenomenon of beauty privilege, which refers to the social and professional advantages gained by individuals with attractive appearances. This study aims to examine the influence of appearance indicators within the beauty privilege variable on the career success of the influencer Malaikha Dayanara. The research uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through an online questionnaire filled out by 100 active followers of Malaikha’s Instagram account, using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted through validity testing, reliability testing, and partial t-test using statistical software. The results indicate that appearance indicators significantly influence the perception of career success, particularly in terms of increasing audience trust, personal branding, and attractiveness to brand collaboration opportunities. Physical appearance has proven to be a dominant factor in shaping a professional image and influencing public engagement with an influencer. These findings emphasize the crucial role of visual elements in building career success in the digital era. Visual appeal is not just about aesthetics but is an integral part of an effective communication strategy within the social media industry. Influencers with attractive appearances tend to have greater opportunities to expand their audience and attract brand attention. This shows that appearance plays a significant role in not only supporting digital success but also influencing the perception of professionalism and the ability to establish connections with the audience. Thus, physical appearance has become an essential element in creating a personal image that can influence career success, especially in a world increasingly dominated by visual-based platforms like Instagram. These findings offer insights into how appearance has become a strategic factor in achieving career success in the digital age.

Abstract

Posyandu services as part of community -based health efforts still face challenges in data management in posyandu activities that are mostly carried out manually, such as recording toddler data, immunization schedules, and monthly reports that result in data irregularities, information duplication, and delays in services. This has an impact on time efficiency, accuracy of recording, and difficulties in reporting and monitoring children's growth and development. This study aims to develop a web -based health monitoring monitoring system and growth and development of children at the Medan Johor Puskesmas UPT. The importance of this research is based on the need for information systems that are efficient, accurate, and can be accessed in real-time by Posyandu cadres, heads of puskesmas, and parents of toddlers. The main objective of this study is to design and implement a web -based system that can help the registration process, growth and development, as well as digital recording of immunization. This study uses the Rapid Application Development system development method because it is fast, iterative, and greatly involves users in the development process. The results of this study indicate that the system that was built can increase cadre working time efficiency, reduce the risk of data loss, and facilitate access to information for parents.

Abstract

Plant seed stock management is a crucial aspect in supporting the success of forest rehabilitation programs and environmental conservation efforts. Guaranteed seed availability, both in terms of quantity and quality, is a key factor in supporting sustainable reforestation activities. However, the reality on the ground shows that the seed stock management process at the Forest Plant Seed Agency (BPTH) Region II Office is still carried out manually. Recording is carried out conventionally, from recording incoming and outgoing seeds, through data collection, to distribution. This manual system has proven inefficient due to the time required to search for data and the potential for stock calculation errors. To address these issues, this study aims to design and build a web-based plant seed stock information system equipped with barcode technology. The use of barcode technology is expected to improve recording effectiveness, accelerate tracking processes, and minimize errors in stock data collection. This study used quantitative methods, collecting data through questionnaires and interviews with relevant parties. Furthermore, the system was tested using User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to measure user acceptance and usability. The research results show that the designed information system significantly improves the efficiency of the seed stock data update process. The user acceptance test (UAT) yielded a score of 84.84%, categorized as highly effective. Therefore, the system is deemed suitable for implementation in BPTH Region II as a more modern, faster, and more accurate seed inventory management solution.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the development of research on push notifications over the past decade through a bibliometric approach. Push notifications have become a crucial feature across various digital platforms, including mobile applications, e-commerce systems, educational tools, and social communication services. However, systematic reviews that explore research trends, dominant thematic areas, and key contributing authors and institutions remain limited. Utilizing the Scopus database, this study collected and analyzed 250 scholarly publications published between 2013 and 2023. The bibliometric techniques applied include publication productivity analysis, co-authorship and co-citation mapping, as well as keyword co-occurrence analysis to identify popular topics and their evolution over time. The findings reveal a significant rise in publication volume beginning in 2017, coinciding with the rapid development of mobile technologies and machine learning applications. The most frequently discussed themes include message personalization, user engagement, data privacy, and notification-based recommendation systems. Countries such as the United States, China, and India emerged as dominant contributors in terms of publication output and research collaborations. This bibliometric analysis offers valuable insights for researchers, app developers, and policymakers interested in understanding the direction of push notification research and its practical implementations. The results also serve as a foundation for future studies in the fields of human-computer interaction, user experience design, and data-driven technologies. Additionally, this study identifies gaps in the current literature, such as ethical concerns and long-term user behavioral impacts, which warrant deeper investigation. Future research may benefit from interdisciplinary approaches combining technology, psychology, and communication studies.

Abstract

This research develops a website-based Human Resource Management System (HRMS) that applies the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method for the selection and recommendation of permanent employees. The background to the development of this system is the challenges in the manual employee selection process, such as the large number of applicants, the difficulty of objective assessment, and the time required, which affects company productivity. The main objective of this research is to accelerate and simplify the selection process, reduce unfair assessments, and improve the accuracy of recruitment decisions. This system is designed to automatically analyze applicant data (including education level, work experience, and psychological test results) based on patterns from previous employee data. The results of this study indicate that the developed system is able to analyze applicant data and provide more accurate recommendations, significantly saving time and effort for the HR department, and producing more objective selection decisions that are in line with company needs. Thus, this system contributes to increasing efficiency, fairness, and quality in the recruitment process. In addition, the use of the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method in this system provides advantages because this algorithm is able to classify data based on the level of similarity with previous data. This ensures more accurate and consistent recommendations, as they are based on historical employee patterns that have proven successful within the company. This helps HR reduce subjectivity in assessments, as selection decisions are not based solely on intuition or individual preferences, but rather on measurable, data-driven analysis. This HRMS system also has the potential for broader development, such as integration with other machine learning technologies capable of predicting long-term employee performance, or linking it to the company's performance management system.
