Abstract

The tourism sector has become a vital component of the economy, contributing significantly to the income of both regions and countries. In South Nias Regency, there are various unique tourism assets, such as the traditional Lompat Batu (Stone Jumping) ritual, distinctive traditional house architecture, colorful traditional costumes, and a series of breathtaking beaches that attract a large number of visitors. The region's strategic geographical location further enhances the potential for developing its tourism sector. However, despite the rich cultural and natural assets, the tourism sector in South Nias Regency faces challenges such as limited access to comprehensive and up-to-date information about tourist destinations. The need for an improved information system has become more urgent, as the current tourism data is fragmented, not fully integrated, and lacks interactive features. This makes it difficult for potential travelers to access accurate and reliable information regarding the region's attractions, accommodations, and travel tips. Therefore, this study proposes the development of a web-based Tourism Information System that utilizes a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. The UCD methodology ensures that the system is developed with the end user in mind, focusing on user needs, ease of use, and efficient interaction at every phase of the design process. The proposed system aims to be responsive and user-friendly, providing travelers with a convenient platform to access accurate and geographically relevant tourism data. Through the system, users can easily explore various tourist spots, rate destinations, and read user reviews, which will improve their overall travel experience. The system also features an interactive map that allows visitors to visually locate attractions, accommodations, and other points of interest.

Abstract

This study aims to identify accessibility violations on the official website of the X Regency Government by referring to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA level standards. The study adopts a descriptive quantitative method with a case study approach. Testing was conducted through an audit using aXe DevTools on the website's main page, so that each finding could be classified based on four accessibility principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR). The test results showed 35 accessibility violations, consisting of 17 Critical categories and 18 Serious categories. No violations were identified under the Moderate or Minor categories. The largest finding was in the Perceivable principle, specifically related to the lack of alternative text on image elements and low color contrast. In addition, in the Operable principle, problems were found in the form of links without clear descriptive text and difficulties in using keyboard-based navigation. These accessibility issues suggest that the website does not fully comply with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, which may hinder inclusive access to public digital services. Thus, the level of accessibility compliance of the X Regency Government website is still not optimal. Improvements need to be made through technical and policy approaches. From a technical perspective, developers must ensure the addition of appropriate alternative text, improvements to color contrast ratios, and optimization of link structures and navigation features. From a policy perspective, continuous training for developers and sustainable governance measures are crucial to maintaining accessibility compliance. By strengthening developer capacity and implementing sustainable policies, local government websites can move towards more inclusive, responsive, and user-friendly digital public services for all users, including those with disabilities. Abstract

Currently, education is developing very rapidly, starting from the school level even up to the university level. Quality human resources depend on education. Student learning achievement which is usually indicated by report card grades is one of the benchmarks of educational success. However, student grade data for strategic decision making in schools is often done manually and is not optimal. This study aims to identify correlations between student grades in Junior High Schools and apply the Apriori method in data analysis to determine the relationship between student grades and other variables such as subjects and achievement levels. This study involved data collection consisting of 508 students. The Apriori method successfully identified relevant correlations, such as students in Pancasila Education subjects received a B, ICT received a B, Mathematics received a B, English received a B, Social Studies received a B, Craft received a B, Indonesian received a B, Physical Education received a B, Science received a B, SBK received a B, Religious Education received a B, then the Achievement Level is Low with support 3.90% and confidence 95.20%. The use of RapidMiner software in data analysis provides recommendations for robust relationships or correlations. This research is expected to provide sound recommendations to support the achievement of national education goals by identifying the relationship between student grades and subject matter, as well as improving learning outcomes based on student achievement levels.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a desktop-based e-library application at SMPN 3 Lamasi to simplify the management of library data, including books, borrowing, returning, visitors, and catalog records. The application is also equipped with reporting features that support library administrative needs. The development method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the Waterfall model, which consists of five stages. The first stage, Requirements Definition, involved gathering system requirements through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The second stage, System and Software Design, included system design using Unified Modeling Language (UML). The third stage, Implementation and Unit Testing, involved coding the application with the Java programming language and performing initial testing on each module. The fourth stage, Integration and System Testing, ensured that all application components functioned correctly using the black-box testing method. The final stage, Operation and Maintenance, included deploying the application and maintaining it when errors occurred during usage. After completing all development stages, the application was validated by three experts. The first validator gave a score of 4.86, the second gave 4.56, and the third gave 4.95. The average validation score was 4.77, which falls into the “very good” category. The evaluation results indicated that the application fulfilled functional requirements and operated smoothly without significant errors. In conclusion, the desktop-based e-library application developed in this study successfully meets the operational needs of the library at SMPN 3 Lamasi. All features, including book data management, borrowing and returning transactions, visitor records, catalog management, and reporting, can be accessed and used effectively. Furthermore, the system has been proven to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of library management while supporting digital transformation in school library services.

Abstract

A simple restaurant application is a program that can be used to manage food and drink menu orders at a restaurant. This application uses a graphical user interface (GUI) that is easy to use and interactive. The aim of developing this application is to increase the effectiveness of restaurant operations, such as speeding up the ordering process, reducing errors, and increasing customer satisfaction. This application also has advantages such as being easy to learn, flexible, and can run on various operating systems. This application is expected to be a solution for restaurants who want to improve their performance and service. Development of a Simple Restaurant Application with a Graphical User Interface (GUI) to Increase Operational Effectiveness. In an ever-evolving digital era, the restaurant industry faces increasing pressure to improve operational efficiency and provide better experiences to customers. This research proposes the development of a simple restaurant application equipped with a graphical user interface (GUI) as an innovative solution to improve operational effectiveness. The research method used is development research, involving literature studies to understand the latest developments in restaurant applications and graphical user interface technology. Analysis of user needs is carried out through interviews with restaurant managers and customers to determine the features and functions needed.

Abstract

Etawa goats are a crossbreed between the Jamnapari goats from India and local Indonesian goats. Based on the products they yield, Etawa goats are classified into several types: those that produce meat, those that produce milk, and those that provide skin for crafts. Technological advancements have significantly transformed how farmers manage and sell Etawa goats. With web-based information systems, e-commerce platforms, and health monitoring technology, farmers can increase operational efficiency, expand market reach, and ensure the quality of their goats. Technology not only supports business sustainability but also offers a competitive advantage in the Etawa goat farming industry. One problem that arises is in managing sales data for Etawa goats. When a product is ordered and payment is made, the purchased item should no longer be available. However, due to a lack of communication from the seller about out-of-stock products, other buyers may attempt to purchase the same item. If payment is made but the product is unavailable, the seller must refund the buyer without any deductions. Therefore, a web-based information system using the FIFO method is needed to help sellers manage outgoing products. The FIFO method ensures that orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, continuing with the available stock for sale. With a web-based sales information system for Etawa goats, sellers can easily manage their sales records.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged the transformation of the administrative system in various sectors, including savings and loan cooperatives. Cooperatives, MSMEs, Industry and Trade in Central Sumba Regency have been still managing savings and loan data manually using Microsoft Excel, which has an impact on service delays, the risk of recording errors, and low operational efficiency. This research aims to design and build a web-based savings and loan cooperative information system to improve the effectiveness of data management and service quality to members. The research method uses a software engineering approach through the stages of needs analysis, system design (use case diagram, interface design, and database), implementation with web technology, and system testing. The results of the study show that the developed system is able to accelerate the process of collecting member data, recording deposit and loan transactions, and preparing financial reports in an integrated manner. This system also makes it easier for members to access information and cooperative services online. Thus, the application of web-based information systems has been proven to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data management and the quality of cooperative services to its members.

Abstract

Newman Bali Tour, a community of freelance drivers in Bali, faces conventional operational challenges such as irregular passenger distribution, uncertain driver availability, and a lack of price transparency. To address these issues, this research aims to design a website-based ordering information system to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency. This system will integrate features for automatic and equitable passenger distribution based on driver availability, as well as clear price transparency. The prototype method is used in the system design, encompassing the stages of: communication (interviews), quick planning (gathering interview results and necessary data), quick design (designing UML diagrams), prototype construction, and delivery and feedback (system testing using the System Usability Scale/SUS). System testing on 20 respondents yielded an average SUS score of 78, which falls into the "Good" category, Grade C, and is considered Acceptable. The results of this research are expected to provide guidance for developers in building a better system for Newman Bali Tour.

Abstract

The beauty service industry is experiencing digital transformation as consumer demand for convenience increases. Salon Ratih Langit, a beauty salon in Bali, still uses manual methods for booking and managing appointments, resulting in inefficiencies such as scheduling conflicts and disorganized transactions. This study aims to design a web-based booking system to streamline the reservation process and improve customer experience. Using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a prototyping approach, the system was designed through iterative feedback from users. The system allows customers to register, choose services, schedule appointments, and make payments online, while providing admins with tools to manage bookings. The design includes UML diagrams, ERD, and interactive interfaces using Figma. Usability testing was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS), yielding a score of 73.33, which falls under the “Good” category. The system is expected to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction while reducing human errors in booking processes.

Abstract

Dea Bakery is a bakery business located in Payakumbuh that faces fluctuating product sales influenced by seasonal factors such as religious holidays, weekends, and consumer trends. These conditions require accurate analytical approaches to support business planning and strategic decision-making. This study applies the Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA) method to forecast product sales at Dea Bakery Payakumbuh Branch in 2023. The dataset used consists of daily sales records from January to December 2023. The research stages include data collection, preprocessing, data splitting, stationarity testing, ACF and PACF analysis, model parameter selection, and model evaluation using Mean Squared Error (MSE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The results show that the best model is SARIMA(1,0,1)(0,0,1)[7], which successfully represents weekly seasonality and daily sales trends. Evaluation on the training data achieved MSE of 1147.91, RMSE of 33.88, and MAPE of 16.50%, while the testing data achieved MSE of 969.67, RMSE of 31.14, and MAPE of 15.42%. These values are categorized as good performance, indicating that although there is a slight decrease in accuracy on the testing data, the model is still able to capture the overall sales trends and provide reliable predictions. Therefore, the SARIMA method can be used as a data-driven solution to improve operational efficiency and strengthen the competitiveness of Dea Bakery in the market.
