Abstract

This study analyzes the usability of the STKIP Bangkalan e-learning website as an online learning medium using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The evaluation covers five aspects of usability, namely learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction, through a questionnaire filled out by students. The title "Analysis of the Usability of the STKIP Bangkalan E-Learning Website as an Online Learning Medium with the System Usability Scale Method" was chosen because it reflects the main focus of the study, the object studied, and the evaluation method used. The selection of this title also aims to make it easy for readers to understand the scope, context, and methodological approach applied in this study. The results of the study indicate that the STKIP Bangkalan e-learning website has a fairly good level of usability, with a System Usability Scale (SUS) value of 64.98. Based on the standard interpretation of SUS, this score is included in the "fairly acceptable" category (marginal acceptability), which indicates that the e-learning web application has fulfilled its basic function as an online learning medium, although improvements are still needed in the navigation and interface aspects to improve the overall user experience.

Abstract

The internship application process at the Faculty of Sharia and Law, UIN Sumatera Utara, is still conducted manually, leading to various issues such as delayed information, unstructured administration, and inefficient communication between students, faculty, and partner institutions. To address these problems, a web-based internship application system was developed to help students access internship information, apply online, and assist faculty in verifying and monitoring the process. The development of this application uses the Waterfall method, which consists of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. During the design phase, Unified Modeling Language (UML) was used, including use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams to visualize the system’s structure and workflow. This application offers key features such as a list of partner institutions, internship vacancies, document submission, and application status notifications. The implementation of this web-based system is expected to make the internship application process faster, more transparent, well-organized, and supportive of the academic digitalization efforts at the Faculty of Sharia and Law, UIN Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

This study examines user awareness of the influence of smartphone screen brightness on battery power consumption. Of the 80 respondents, 100% answered "No" to the question of using the battery monitoring app, indicating the low utilization of power efficiency features. Conversely, on the question of whether high brightness drains the battery quickly, 0% who answered "No", signifying full awareness of the negative impact of high brightness. Practical tests support this finding: battery consumption rises from 3% (20% brightness) to 7% (100% brightness) in 30 minutes. The results show high awareness, but adequate efficient action has not been followed.

Abstract

Train transportation is one of the most popular forms of transportation among Indonesians. One of the advantages of train transportation is that affordable prices and relatively faster travel times are one of the factors that make this transportation so popular with the public. As one of the public transportation companies that is quite popular with the public, PT Kereta Api Indonesia always strives to provide the best service to meet the needs of its users. Therefore, PT Kereta Api Indonesia provides website services that can be accessed by users. The WEBQEM method is one method to determine the quality of a website from the assessment of its users. The WEBQEM method includes an assessment of the characteristics of Usability, Functionality, Reliability, and Efficiency. The results of the study obtained the results of several factors that according to website users need to be improved such as users disagree if users who only occasionally use the PT K.A.I website will like to use the PT K.A.I website.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a web-based sales and stock information system to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data management in a retail company. The main problem is manual recording which causes data inaccuracy and late reporting. The method used is Research and Development with the Waterfall model, as well as black box testing and the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. The results of the study show that the system successfully provides real-time stock data and sales reports, minimizes recording errors, and increases user satisfaction. This system supports faster and more accurate managerial decision making. It is recommended that companies carry out periodic system maintenance and provide training to users to maximize system utilization. Further research can develop sales data analysis features and integration with financial systems.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has improved data management, including in the distribution of social assistance. However, the large volume of data and the similarity of community characteristics often hinder the manual determination of aid recipients. This study analyzes the performance of two clustering algorithms, K-Means and K-Medoids, in grouping social assistance recipients in Kelurahan Terjun. Using a quantitative approach and data mining techniques based on clustering. The data is divided into three groups: Eligible, Not Eligible, and Requires Validation. The results show that although both algorithms produce similar clustering patterns, K-Medoids demonstrates better performance in cluster distribution and visualization. Cluster visualization using PCA indicates that K-Medoids forms clearer cluster boundaries and more balanced data distribution compared to K-Means. It can be concluded that K-Medoids outperforms in clustering social assistance recipient data and can serve as a more efficient alternative for targeted aid distribution.

Abstract

Cattle serve as the primary means of meat and milk production in numerous regions across the globe. Enhancing efficiency and productivity in cow ranching can provide significant economic consequences. The cattle industry is significant as it enables the estimation of cow weight, directly influencing beef and milk quality. This study aims to enhance the accuracy of cattle weight estimation by minimizing the Mean Squared Error (MSE) values. The integration of artificial neural network (ANN), fuzzy logic (FL), and genetic algorithm (GA) techniques is a promising artificial intelligence tool for predicting and modeling cattle weight in livestock weight prediction systems. The cow weight forecast yielded a Mean Squared Error (MSE) value of 10.9 kg, which is the best result. The results demonstrate the progress made in agriculture using advanced technologies. They offer a detailed examination of how artificial intelligence, fuzzy logic, and evolutionary techniques can be combined to address the many difficulties associated with estimating cattle body weight.

Abstract

Big Data can help public services change and improve faster by using digital tools. Digital tools can make public services better and faster by using Big Data. Public services can change and improve faster by using digital tools that use Big Data. Pekanbaru City uses data to make decisions and improve its services. The Big Data-based SIPENDUDUK application is already circulating to help people access information. Then there is a different system with the implementation of SPBE. There is one website where people can find the data they need. This literature study analyses how the Pekanbaru City government uses Big Data to transform its public services. The TOE framework approach is used, which has three parts: technology, organization, and environment. This study found that using information technology, such as population, helps speed up administrative services. SPBE creates a framework that allows data to be combined across sectors. Other feature portals such as Satu Data make data more accessible and transparent across sectors. These three innovations serve as the basis for integrating Big Data into public services. The final result of this study shows that the success of digital transformation in this region depends on more than just technology. It also depends on how ready the organization is and how much support they get from regulators. The possibility of Technology Organization Environment (TOE) public services working well is because they use three dimensional integration. This means that the Pekanbaru City government considers the needs of the community, the resources they have, and the changes they face.

Abstract

The development of information technology has brought significant changes to the tourism industry, yet challenges remain in developing comprehensive and accessible tourism web applications. This research aims to develop a multi-platform tourism web application that addresses the fragmentation of information services and trip planning, as well as accessibility limitations in destinations with limited connectivity. The research methodology includes system design using an agile approach with Scrum methodology, implementation of key features such as trip planning and article writing, and comprehensive testing through functional and acceptance testing. Implementation of Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and Trusted Web Activities (TWA) technologies is integrated to enhance accessibility and user experience. Test results show a success rate of nearly 100% in various usage scenarios, including offline conditions. The main conclusion demonstrates that the developed application successfully creates a digital ecosystem supporting holistic travel experiences, transforming how travelers plan, experience, and share their journeys. This research paves the way for innovation in leveraging web technology to improve accessibility of tourist destinations, support local economies, and promote sustainable tourism, with significant potential to transform the landscape of the digital tourism industry.

Abstract

Inventory management is a crucial aspect of operational activities, especially for companies engaged in distribution and warehousing. PT. Indah Permata currently implements a manual stock recording and management system in its warehouse, which relies on written logs or basic spreadsheets. This manual system creates several problems, such as data entry errors, delays in data updates, and discrepancies between physical stock and administrative records. This study aims to analyze the weaknesses of the manual inventory system using the PIECES framework, which includes six key aspects: Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Service. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach involving observation, interviews, and the distribution of questionnaires to relevant stakeholders. The results show that the manual system performs very poorly across all PIECES aspects, with scores ranging from 1.51% to 1.65%, categorizing it as "Very Poor." These findings indicate that the current system fails to support efficient, accurate, and well-Controlled operations. Therefore, it is recommended that the company undertake digital transformation by implementing an integrated and automated inventory management Information system. This recommendation is expected to enhance work effectiveness, resource Efficiency, and overall Service quality in a sustainable manner.
