Abstract

Islam is a regligion that calls on its followers to carry out da’wah, one of the da’wah contained in the film nussa and rarra is da’wah in the form of animations, the nussa and rarra animations contain many preaching messages, one of which is in the episode adab yawning and not sleeping after dawn, by therefore, this research changes peoples’s thingking by analyzing the nussa and rarra animations. this research aims to find out what kind of message of preaching faith, sharia and morals contained in the animated film nussa in the episode of adab yawning and don’t sleep after dawn and to find out the meaning of denotation and connotation using Roland Barthes semiotic theory. this research uses descriptive qualitative research method. the researcher, using Roland Barthes semiotic analysis research approach, to dissect the meaning of denotation and connotation in the episode of adab yawning and not sleeping after dawn. Roland Barthes semiotic analysis which examines the signifier and signified of an object. the results of research on the animated film nussa, the episode of the adab of yawning and not sleeping after dawn, namely that the message of preaching the faith is depicted through dialogue between mother, nussa, and rarra. what speks about everything is the will of Allah which is a form of tawakal. apart from that, the message of syariah da’wah can be seen in the characters played by umma (mother) and rarra (nussa’s sister) who wear the hijab. and finnaly the message of moral preaching which is reflected in the dialogue of maintaining manners, apologizing and saying thank you.

Abstract

The Da'wah message is the message that the da'i wants to convey to the mad'u which is an important element in da'wah activities. Various media can be used to carry out da'wah, such as Tik Tok. One of the platforms that is widely used by people today. One of them is Husain Basyaiban with the Tik Tok account @kadamsidik00, which discusses Islamic values ​​and da'wah messages packaged in a way that is easy to understand. This research uses qualitative research. Researchers used content analysis on the @kadamsidik00 account. These data are processed and analyzed to identify strategies for delivering da'wah messages and supporting and inhibiting factors that influence the effectiveness of the da'wah message strategies delivered. Based on the results of this research, it was found that the @kadamsidik00 account used various strategies in conveying da'wah messages on Tik Tok. One of them is the use of creative content that attracts attention, as well as the ability to follow popular trends on Tik Tok to maximize audience reach. Apart from that, interaction with followers through comments and responses is also an important part of this account's strategy. Researchers also found several significant supporting factors in the strategy of conveying da'wah messages on Tik Tok social media by the account @kadamsidik00. These factors include the ability to create creative and attention-grabbing content, adaptation to popular trends, active interaction with followers, and the popularity of accounts that can expand the reach of preaching messages. However, there are also inhibiting factors that need to be considered. Limits on the duration of content on Tik Tok, competition with other viral content, and the risk of the da'wah message being distorted can become obstacles in conveying the da'wah message effectively. Apart from that, the importance of understanding the target audience more precisely and the risk of exposure to negative content also needs to be considered.

Abstract

Communication as the process of conveying messages from the communicator to the communicant through media that produces effects, gives rise to questions related to communication between humans and God which cannot be seen with the naked eye. This article discusses transcendental communication, namely communication that occurs between humans and God. In this article it is argued that all elements of communication exist in communication between humans and God. The source of communication or communicator consists of God and humans. The message is in the form of Allah's verses through the Koran and prayers, remembrance that humans convey to Allah. The channel is the Al-Qur'an, one of which is in Surah Al-Fatihah, which functions as a channel for God's messages and an intra-personal channel. The recipient or communicant is basically the same as the source or communicator. The expected effect and feedback in this transcendental communication is that humans must carry out what is ordered and stay away from what is prohibited. The effect can also be in the form of the servant's prayer being answered, inner peace, or being able to occupy heaven in the afterlife. Meanwhile, communication models that can be in line with the transcendental communication process are the Stimulus Response (S-R) Model, the Aristotelian Model, and the Lasswell Model

Abstract

Da'wah of Islam develops over time. The elements, materials, and means of da'wah have also developed. Da'wah media are increasingly diverse, including YouTube which allows broadcasts in minutes. Dakwah content on YouTube is an option as entertainment, education and information to replace TV programs that are not always in accordance with religious values. Thus, the animated film Ibra appeared, made by Indonesian children, which raised the Islamic message and the story of the Prophet Muhammad, and gave teachings to all ages. Researchers are interested in Ibra's animated film, especially in episode 10: FOMO on his YouTube account, Ibra Berkisah, because in that episode FOMO is significant in various aspects of Indonesian society: social media, education, social, consumption, religion and can affect behavior change, especially young generation. This study uses qualitative methods with a focus on literature review and a descriptive approach. The human instrument method is also used to determine focus, select relevant data sources, collect, evaluate, analyze, interpret data, and draw conclusions. The researcher analyzed the animated film Ibra episode 10 using the Ferdinand de Saussure Semiotics approach, using visual and audio data as sources. The main objective is to understand and analyze the da'wah messages contained in the animation. The analysis results of Ibra's animation episode 10 FOMO reveal the concept of da'wah conveyed through moral messages and religious values. The delivery of these Islamic values ​​takes the form of stories with moral messages, an introduction to religious teachings, as well as motivation and inspiration that are packaged in a fun and easy-to-understand way, especially for children and adolescents. Semiotic signs, such as linguistic, visual, sound, movement, and expression, strengthen da'wah messages emotionally and cognitively. The results of the analysis in each scene contain various messages that teach mutual forgiveness, the importance of knowledge, tolerance, respect for differences, the dangers of FOMO, and holding on to the truth even when faced with hostility.

Abstract

This research aims to determine patterns of interpersonal communication between teachers and students with problems, factors that hinder interpersonal communication with students with problems, and the results of interpersonal communication with students with problems. This research methodology is qualitative. The principal, deputy principal for student affairs, supervising teachers, and parents of students at PAUD Aisyiyah Kranji were informants in this research, and communication between parents and teachers in fostering problematic students was the research topic. Based on the research results, interpersonal communication between guidance and counseling teachers and problematic students at PAUD Aisyiyah Kranji was carried out through direct face-to-face meetings and using WhatsApp media, and was proven to be effective in its implementation. Factors that become obstacles to interpersonal communication with guidance and counseling teachers in dealing with problematic students at PAUD Aisyiyah Kranji are students' lack of openness and lack of communication with their school environment. Interpersonal communication between guidance and counseling teachers and students is carried out through direct communication.

Abstract

Majelis Tafsir Al-Qur’an (MTA) Surakarta adalah lembaga dakwah, pendidikan dan sosial yang berdiri sejak tahun 1970. Saat ini, Majlis Tafsir Al-Qur’an memiliki 132 perwakilan dan 471 cabang di Indonesia. Meski mengalami pertumbuhan yang signifikan, MTA juga menghadapi berbagai tantangan, termasuk penolakan dari kalangan sebagian masyarakat yang tidak sejalan dengan paham puritanisme yang dianut MTA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi komunikasi para da’i MTA dalam mempertahankan paham puritanisme beragama. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori strategi komunikasi dari Anwar Arifin (1994) yang terdapat empat aspek penting dalam dakwah, yakni mengenal khalayak, menyusun pesan, memilih metode dan media yang tepat. Hail penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi da’i di MTA terbukti efektif dalam menjaga eksistensinya. Para da’i menggunakan pendekatan personal, media sosial, serta tafsir yang kontekstual untuk menyampaikan pesan dakwah. Majlis Tafsir Al-Qur’an juga aktif dalam memanfaatkan media massa seperti radio dan televisi guna untuk memperluas jangkauan dakwah. Kesimpulannya, komunikasi yang dibangun seorang da’i berhasil dalam menumbuhkan kepercayaan jamaah dan dapat memperkuat komitmen terhadap nilai-nilai Islam yang diyakini. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi komunikasi yang tepat dapat berperan penting dalam mempertahankan paham keagamaan di tengah-tengah perubahan sosial yang dinamis.

Abstract

This research discusses the communication strategies of preaching applied by the Santri Preaching Corps (KODASA) at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School in Blokagung Banyuwangi in conveying Islamic values to students and the community. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study aims to identify the forms of KODASA's communication strategies, analyze the media and methods used, and evaluate the supporting and hindering factors in their implementation. The theoretical foundation used is the theory of preaching communication, particularly the persuasive communication model and the two-step flow communication model. Data collection techniques include field observations, in-depth interviews with KODASA members and supervisors of the boarding school, as well as documentation of preaching activities. The results of the study indicate that KODASA implements a communication strategy that is humanistic and contextual, using methods such as lectures, training, interactive discussions, and the utilization of YouTube media. The real impact of the strategies implemented by Kodasa is evident in the increased understanding and participation of students in religious activities. Supporting factors include is full support from the pesantren and the enthusiasm of the students, while the inhibiting factors are limited media facilities and a lack of enthusiasm from the community. This study emphasizes the importance of adaptive and collaborative communication strategies in strengthening pesantren-based preaching.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana majalah Forbes Indonesia yang merupakan media khusus meliputi para pengusaha. Adapun pendekatan penelitian merupakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Analisis Framing yaitu model analisis framing Robert Entman. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa: 1) Majalah Forbes Indonesia membuat konstruksi realitas pesan-pesan kewirausahaan yang dimuatnya dengan mengkonstruksikan kewirausahaan sebagai jalan kesuksesan. Kewirausahaan digambarkan sebagai cara mencapainya yaitu dengan menyesuaikan diri perkembangan dunia ekonomi. 2) Majalah Forbes Indonesia melakukan branding dalam pemuatan pesan-pesan kewirausahaan tersebuut dengan memposisiskan dirinya sebagai media penyedia informasi bisnis yang berkualitas tinggi yang layak menjadi rujukan standar komunitas bisnis.

Abstract

The boycott movement against Israeli products has become a global response to the humanitarian aggression that has occurred in Palestine. In Indonesia, this discourse has found space in mainstream media coverage such as CNBC Indonesia and SINDOnews.com. This study aims to examine how the two media frame the issue of boycotting Israeli products and to reveal the ideology hidden behind their reporting. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Norman Fairclough critical discourse analysis method that combines text analysis, discursive practices, and social practices. Data were obtained from the November 2023 edition of news that raised the issue of boycotting Israeli products on the two online media portals. Data were analyzed with a focus on the choice of diction, narrative structure, and actors highlighted. The results show that CNBC Indonesia tends to present a neutral-economistic discourse, emphasizing the impact of the boycott on market stability and trade. Meanwhile, SINDOnews.com focuses more on the dimensions of humanitarian solidarity and Islamic narratives. Both media present different ideological positions, reflecting the economic and ideological interests inherent in the media institution. This difference in narrative shows that the media is not just a conveyor of facts, but also helps shape public opinion through a certain ideological frame. The boycott discourse does not stand neutrally, but is produced and reproduced within a broader framework of interests. This study emphasizes the importance of media literacy in reading the ideological position of news reporting.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of citizen journalism in supporting the growth of homeless media, using a case study of the Instagram account @infolamongan in 2024. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including content observation, interviews with five informants, and digital documentation. The data were analyzed through a source triangulation approach. Findings show that the people of Lamongan actively participate as event reporters, social initiators, digital facilitators, and visual content creators. This participation directly contributes to the growth of the @infolamongan account in terms of follower count, user engagement, and social relevance. The account represents a form of organically-grown homeless media, unaffiliated with formal press institutions, yet effective as a digital public sphere.
