Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of da'wah communication contained in the novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu by Tere Liye. As a popular literary work, this novel not only presents an interesting storyline, but is also full of moral and religious values and da'wah messages. The research method used is a qualitative content analysis approach. Research data was obtained by identifying, classifying, and interpreting da'wah messages contained in dialogue, narrative, and character. The results show that da'wah communication in this novel is conveyed through messages of faith, sharia, and morals, which are depicted through the life journey of the main character in facing trials, regrets, and the search for the meaning of life. In addition, the author successfully presents da'wah messages that are relevant to the readers' daily lives, so that they can inspire and motivate them to strengthen the values of faith and piety. This research is expected to contribute to the study of literature-based da'wah, as well as add references regarding non-conventional da'wah media through works of fiction.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media has influenced patterns of interaction, information dissemination, and the formation of public opinion, including among Generation Z. As a generation that grew up in the digital era, Gen Z has broad access to various cultural and social perspectives, which has the potential to strengthen values of tolerance and peace. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media on the development of a culture of tolerance and peace among Gen Z. The research method used is qualitative with a field study approach, involving 10 informants selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observation, then analyzed qualitatively in a descriptive manner through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that social media can serve as an effective medium for spreading values of tolerance and peace, but it also has negative potentials such as the spread of hate speech and radicalization. In conclusion, the influence of social media largely depends on how it is used; wise utilization can strengthen a culture of tolerance and maintain social harmony in society.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the flexing culture behavior among millennials and identify the factors that influence it, with a focus on Instagram users in Kikim Timur District, Lahat Regency. The background of this study is based on the phenomenon of increasing flexing practices carried out by 210 millennials from 32 villages in Kikim Timur District, with the highest concentration in Linggar Jaya, Purwa Raja, and Lubuk Kuta Villages. This phenomenon raises concerns about shifting social values, social decline, and potential security risks due to flaunting wealth on social media. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, referring to the Value-Expectancy Theory proposed by Martin Fishbein. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that flexing behavior is carried out through various forms of posts, such as showing off hobbies, achievements, collaboration promotions, sales testimonials, and proof of payment. These posts not only aim to build self-image but also open up economic opportunities. Factors driving flexing behavior include the need for social recognition, validation through likes and followers, constructing a more attractive image, and economic motivations such as building a personal brand and expanding business networks. This study illustrates that flexing culture among millennials in East Kikim is the result of the interaction between social and economic needs, and personal communication strategies on social media.

Abstract

Abstract Radicalism among adolescents is a serious problem that requires a specific approach. This research aims to develop a strategy for preventing radicalism thru the internalization of religious moderation values (Wasathiyyah) using a da'wah psychology approach. The method used is a qualitative literature study with an analysis of various literature related to da'wah psychology, adolescent development, and religious moderation. The research results show the effectiveness of the three-stage value internalization model: (1) value receiving thru the introduction of the principles of al-tawassuth and al-tasamuh using creative media; (2) emotional responding thru group discussions and conflict simulations to instill al-i'tidal and al-tawazun; and (3) identity organizing thru mentoring programs and real-world actions. This strategy successfully addresses three factors that contribute to radicalism in adolescents: identity crisis, the need for group recognition, and cognitive conflict. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of a humanistic and contextual preventive da'wah model, particularly for shaping a moderate and tolerant young generation.

Abstract

The "Tau Gak Sih" program is an educational information program included in the megazine tv show which is packaged attractively by doing voxpop to the public. Tau Gak Sih TRANS7 airs every Monday to Friday at 14.00 - 14.30 WIB. In addition to providing information that is not widely known, the Tau Gak Sih program provides educational shows with a relaxed and funny manner. The theory used is social judgment theory and individual difference theory. The research approach uses a quantitative survey method. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling by taking 100 samples of respondents from the program's audience. This study uses only one variable (univariate), namely the variable perception of the Tau Gak Sih program. The results showed that the perception of the audience of the Tau Gak Sih program was good and there was no significant difference. Based on the crossulation, there were differences in perceptions in the sub-dimensions of the narrative.

Abstract

Communication is a fundamental human need whose success depends not only on the communicator but also on the active role of the communicant as the interpreter of meaning. This article examines humans as communicants from a psychological perspective through a literature study employing three approaches: psychoanalysis, behaviorism, and humanism. The findings reveal that the communicant is an active subject who selects, interprets, and constructs meaning based on subconscious dynamics, social learning processes, and the need for empathy and self-actualization. Message interpretation is influenced by cognitive, affective, behavioral, social, and technological factors. Thus, communication is understood not merely as an exchange of information but as a human process that unites thought, emotion, and moral values.

Abstract

The communication style of their teachers has a significant influence on students' moral and character development in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to investigate how SMPN 1 Kikim Timur teachers foster and mold their students' morals through interpersonal communication. The study employs a qualitative methodology that includes in-depth interviews with key teacher informants, as well as observational data. The study examines the phases, tactics, and relationships between teacher-student interactions and moral growth under the framework of the Social Penetration Theory. According to research, educators employ flexible communication techniques, assuming the roles of mentor, father, and friend as needed. This strategy effectively promotes openness, trust, and the absorption of moral principles in students' daily lives. The application of the Triangle of Restitution technique supports the effectiveness of structured communication tactics in guiding students through discipline difficulties and establishing responsibility. Students' defensive barriers and closed attitudes are the biggest challenges, but they can be overcome with relational and regular communication. In conclusion, students' positive moral growth is greatly influenced by the adaptability and depth of teachers' communication.

Abstract

The Darmo Car Free Day (CFD) program is an event program that is held every Sunday by TV9 Nusantara. In realizing the program, the implementation of the program includes three production management processes, namely pre-production, production and post-production. Pre-production includes how to manage the program, starting from making concepts, arranging roundwon events, making queue cards, determining talent programs, arranging cameramen, to determining program speakers, as well as collaborating and looking for sponsors.

Abstract

Cita Entertainment is a YouTube channel that produces entertainment content. One of the products that Cita Entertainment produces is video highlights, which are excerpts from television shows or other events presented in a more concise and attractive format. The highlight production process at Cita Entertainment begins with selecting the program to be highlighted. After that, the production team will watch the program and record important moments that will be used as highlights. They will also choose the right music to accompany the video. Once the key moments have been selected, the production team will start editing the video. They would cut out the unimportant parts and arrange the important moments chronologically. They will also add pre-selected visual effects and music. After the editing process is complete, the video will be reviewed and displayed if needed. Later, highlight videos will be uploaded to Cita Entertainment's YouTube channel and uploaded via social media or other platforms.

Abstract

New media media Youtube channel which broadcasts several pesantren shows. The media is an alternative media for alumni who are not domiciled in the pesantren environment, to treat the longing for alumni and caregivers, the media is a bridge between caregivers and alumni. The media broadcasts book studies and tausiyah, which are two media programs to carry out the mandate of caregivers, namely tafaquh fiddin. The problems in this research are: (1) What is the process for showing Al-fikrah Youtube channel? (2) What are the weaknesses and strengths in building Santri alumni relations? This study used the triagulation method, namely data analysis before going to the field, data analysis while in the field (miles and Huberman method), data reduction. In this method, the author was able to find the results of the research, which is a process of silaturrahmi alumni with caregivers through the Al-fikrah YouTube media. From these results, the writer can find data in the form of facts about the alumni's relationship with caregivers through the media intermediary. This channel is to continue the relay of Al-fikrah magazine which is stagnant and considered inefficient. Through this broadcast, alumni from various regions have a great opportunity to continue participating in book studies and tausyiah. The results of this study indicate that building alumni relations from the Al-fikrah Youtube channel is very necessary considering the alumni areas that are far apart and busy with activities. The media is Islamic boarding school education and also tausyiah caregivers as well as international guests who wish to share knowledge with the Islamic boarding school regarding this phenomenon. It is hoped that the relationship between alumni and pesantren is maintained.
