Abstract

Over the past decade, religious character education has re-emerged as an academic response to the moral and spiritual crisis among younger generations amid globalization and the secularization of values. Although numerous studies have examined religious character education, research that specifically constructs an integrative model based on religious activities institutionalized within madrasah culture remains relatively limited. This study aims to analyze religious activities, identify an integrative model for strengthening religious character, and examine the implications of this model at MTs Miftahul Ulum, Probolinggo Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the head of the madrasah, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students, as well as documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that religious activities such as Qur’anic recitation, congregational prayers, tahfiz programs, the 3S program (greeting, smiling, and courteous interaction), and socio-religious activities function as the core of the madrasah’s institutional culture. This study identifies an integrative model encompassing three principal domains: an integrative model of a religious curriculum within instructional processes, an integrative model of habituation and the internalization of worship practices, and an integrative model of a religious school culture. The implementation of this model strengthens students’ religious character, particularly in terms of discipline, courtesy, responsibility, learning focus, and social awareness. The study contributes theoretically by offering a contextual integrative model and provides practical implications for the long-term development of religious character education in madrasahs.

Abstract

Tax avoidance practices are a crucial issue in the tax system because companies often exploit regulatory loopholes to minimize their tax liabilities without directly violating the law. This study aims to analyze the determinants of tax avoidance in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange by examining the influence of profitability, leverage, and company size through a literature review approach. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study technique that examines various relevant previous studies. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from various reputable scientific publication sources, such as journals indexed by Elsevier, Sage, Springer, Web of Science, Ebsco, Copernicus, Sinta, and Google Scholar. Data analysis is carried out descriptively qualitatively through the process of identification, review, and synthesis of previous research findings related to the variables of tax avoidance, profitability, leverage, and company size. The results of the study indicate that profitability, leverage, and company size have an influence on tax avoidance behavior in property and real estate companies.

Abstract

Duren Kalibata Station is a public transportation facility with high operational activity, potentially creating various work environment risks which can impact user safety and comfort. Proper work environment management is necessary to minimize potential hazard and support a safe and orderly station environment. This research aimed to analyze work environment management at Duren Kalibata Station to support safety aspect. The method used was descriptive qualitative through direct observation, interview, and documentation study. The results indicated that work environment management at Duren Kalibata Station included cleanliness management, waste control, public facility arrangement, and the implementation of safety signs and facilities. Overall, work environment management had been quite successful, but several aspects needed improving, such as consistent station area cleanliness and optimization of safety support facilities. It was expected that the results of this research were able to provide evaluation material and recommendations for management in improving work environment management to support safety at Duren Kalibata Station.

Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has made a significant contribution to internet-based monitoring and automation systems. In vocational education, particularly in the Mechatronics Study Program, the implementation of IoT technology is crucial to support practical activities and improve student competency in embedded systems and data communications. This research aims to design and implement an IoT-based temperature monitoring system using a DS18B20 sensor, an ESP32 microcontroller, and a local I2C LCD display. The developed system is capable of measuring temperature in real time and displaying data both on the LCD screen and via an IoT network. The research methodology included hardware design, software development, system integration, and sensor performance testing against a digital thermometer as a reference measuring instrument. Test results showed that the DS18B20 sensor has a fairly good level of accuracy with a small relative error compared to the reference measurement. This system implementation has proven to be an effective practical tool for IoT learning in the Mechatronics Laboratory. The developed system is modular, allowing for further development with the addition of other sensors and cloud platform integration

Abstract

Public satisfaction is a crucial indicator in assessing the success of public service delivery. This study aims to analyze the influence of competency and standard operating procedures (SOPs) on public satisfaction, with public service quality as a mediating variable at the Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency Environmental Agency. The research approach used was quantitative, using a survey method. The study population consisted of 390 community users of the Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency Environmental Agency services. Sampling was conducted using the Slovin formula to obtain a representative sample size. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, which were analyzed using path analysis or Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that competency and SOPs have a positive and significant effect on public service quality. Furthermore, public service quality has a positive and significant effect on public satisfaction. Competence and SOPs also have an indirect effect on public satisfaction through public service quality. These findings confirm that improving staff competency and consistent SOP implementation can improve service quality, thereby increasing public satisfaction.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed creative industries by enabling machines to generate aristic works such as images, designs, and logos used in commercial activities. The increasing use of AI-generated content raise important legal questions concerning authorship, ownership, and legal protection under intellectual property law. This study aims to analyze the legal status of AI-generated logos within the Indonesian intellectual property framework and to identify the most appropiate legal mechanism for protecting such works. This research applies a normative legal research method using statutory, conceptual, and comparative approach. The study examines Indonesian copyright law under Law No. 28 Of 2014 Concerning Copyright and Trademark Protection under Law No. 20 Of 2016 Concerning Trademarks and Geographical Indications. The results indicate that Indonesia copyright law remain human-centered, meaning that works generated autonomously by artificial intelligence do not fully meet the legal requierements for copyright law. However, AI-generated logos may still obtain legal protection through trademark registration under the first-to-file principle. This study concludes that trademark law currently provides the most effective legal mechanism for protecting AI-generated logos in Indonesia. The research also highlights the need for future legal reform to address the growing role of artificial intelligence in creative industries.

Abstract

Literature Review of the influence of E-Learning implementation and the quality of virtual interactions as determining factors of student learning satisfaction is a scientific article with the aim of analyzing whether the implementation of E-Learning and the quality of virtual interactions affect student learning satisfaction. This research method uses a literature review method by examining national and international journal articles relevant to the implementation of E-Learning, the quality of virtual interactions, and student learning satisfaction. The results of this article are: 1) E-Learning implementation affects student learning satisfaction; 2) The quality of virtual interactions affects student learning satisfaction. Apart from these 2 exogenous variables that affect the endogenous variable, namely student learning satisfaction, there are still many other factors including learning facilities, lecturer performance, technological readiness.
