Abstract

Birth pain is a physiological condition that can cause stress, anxiety, and tension that result from childbirth, even increasing the risk of complications. This condition can cause severe labor during childbirth, which causes muscular contractions, uteroplacental circulation, vascular circulation, and cervical oxygen, causing uterine ischemia to increase the amount of pain and risk complications during labor. Attempts to reduce the pain of childbirth involve two methods of pain control: pharmacological and non-pharmacological. One attempt to reduce the pain of childbirth by non-pharmacological care could be made by inhaling an aromatic orphanage with a diffuser at the time of childbirth. The study aims to examine the effect of aromatherapy on the intensity of labor pain in the Ciamis flood district in 2025. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sampling technique used is impressive, employing the Lameshow formula with 45 respondents. The study indicates that there was an average difference in the scale of childbirth pain before and after the lavender aroma was given to mothers in childbirth in the flooded hospital. Thus, aromatherapy can be an effective alternative to non-pharmacological intervention in birth pain management.

Abstract

This study discusses the reception of lecturers regarding the latest policy news from the President of the United States (US) Donald Trump which was published in the national media in April 2025. Trump issued a policy of increasing import tax rates for foreign countries importing goods into the US. Even though the global situation is not conducive with a series of conflicts between countries, Trump insisted on raising it. The problem is how lecturers accept Trump's  policy of increasing import tax rates. This research aims to explain their reception of Trump’s new trade tax policy. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method through an analytical study of Stuart Hall's reception with three elements; domination, negotiation, and opposition. As the subject of the study, interviews were conducted with informants consisting of lecturers in Jakarta. The results of this study show that most private lecturers in Jakarta are in opposition to Trump's economic policies rather than negotiation and domination. The significance of this research is that there is a spirit of nationalism for every citizen.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of self-control on FoMO among Generation Z individuals who play Roblox in Bekasi City. A quantitative approach was employed using simple linear regression analysis with 184 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included the Online Fear of Missing Out (ON-FoMO) scale and the Brief Self-Control Scale. The results of the simple linear regression indicated a regression coefficient of −0.895 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.332, with a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), suggesting that self-control accounts for 32.2% of the variance in FoMO, while the remaining variance is explained by other factors not examined in this study. These findings demonstrate that self-control has a significant negative effect on FoMO meaning that self-control can suppress Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) in Generation Z who play Roblox in Bekasi City. However, most respondents were classified in the moderate category, indicating that self-control was not sufficient to reduce FoMO to a low level. This study highlights the importance of strengthening self-control, and future research is recommended to include additional variables such as self-regulation and self-esteem.

Abstract

Religious education in madrasahs remains predominantly characterized by normative and ritualistic approaches, limiting its effectiveness in fostering moderate, inclusive, and socially responsive religious character. Existing studies on religious moderation tend to be programmatic and fragmented, leaving a significant gap in understanding how wasatiyah values are systematically institutionalized as a character education model within the entire madrasah ecosystem. This study aims to analyze the model of wasatiyah-based religious character formation and to examine the effectiveness of its implementation on students’ religious and social behavior at MTs Generasi Teladan Tabanan, Bali. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and were thematically analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings indicate that wasatiyah values are integratively embedded through institutional policies, curriculum design, dialogical pedagogical practices, school culture, student development programs, restorative counseling services, and school–family collaboration. The effectiveness of implementation is reflected in the strengthening of disciplined yet non-extreme religiosity, emotional self-regulation, non-judgmental attitudes, and enhanced social competencies such as tolerance, empathy, and the ability to coexist harmoniously within a pluralistic context. The novelty of this study lies in conceptualizing wasatiyah-based religious character education as an operational and sustainable value system within multicultural madrasah settings.

Abstract

Teacher burnout is a growing global issue, particularly in the context of prolonged stress and its impact on educators' physical and emotional health, as well as their professional efficacy and overall well-being. This phenomenon has garnered increasing attention over recent years, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic, which exacerbated stressors faced by teachers, leading to higher burnout rates. This study aims to provide a bibliometric review of research on teacher burnout and well-being over the past 25 years, mapping out key trends, influential authors, and the major topics explored in this field. Using systematic literature review (SLR) guidelines and data from the Scopus and Web of Science databases, the study examines publication patterns, collaboration networks, and prevalent research themes. The results highlight a significant rise in publications related to teacher burnout post-pandemic, with a particular emphasis on emotional exhaustion, work engagement, and well-being interventions such as mindfulness and physical activities. Additionally, the review identifies gaps in the literature, such as a lack of focus on the long-term consequences of burnout and the systemic factors that contribute to it. The contribution of this study is twofold: it expands the understanding of teacher burnout by synthesizing a large body of literature and provides insights for future research, particularly in terms of effective interventions and addressing systemic issues within educational institutions.

Abstract

Stamping press machines rely on reliable clutch brake systems to ensure operational accuracy, productivity, and safety. This study presents an empirical failure analysis of a wet-type multi-disc clutch brake system in a 400-ton stamping press that experienced operational failure following flood exposure. Field observations, visual and dimensional inspections, and hydraulic system evaluations were conducted to identify failure mechanisms and root causes. The results indicate that the clutch brake failure was caused by the combined effects of mechanical interference leading to hydraulic hose rupture, improper installation of sealing components, and aging-related degradation of elastomeric seals. Flood-induced contamination significantly accelerated lubrication failure and material deterioration, resulting in hydraulic leakage and loss of system reliability. Corrective actions, including component replacement, lubrication system restoration, and hydraulic pressure adjustment, were implemented and validated through no-load testing, load testing, and production trials using actual stamped parts. Post-repair testing confirmed stable machine operation and acceptable product quality. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating how environmental exposure interacts with installation errors and material aging to produce system-level clutch brake failure. The findings provide practical guidance for failure prevention, condition-based maintenance, and reliability improvement of heavy-duty stamping press machines operating in flood-prone industrial environments.

Abstract

This study explores the key factors influencing consumer decisions when purchasing mobile operator SIM cards in Batam, Indonesia. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, perceptions were gathered from diverse community segments, including students, homemakers, private-sector employees, and government staff. The findings indicate that price remains the most dominant determinant across groups, followed by promotional strategies. Customer experience, particularly network quality and service interaction, plays a supporting but less decisive role. The study suggests that telecom providers in emerging urban markets should prioritize competitive pricing structures, targeted promotions, and continuous service quality improvements to strengthen consumer acquisition and retention.
