Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adenganya perbedaan harga diri siswa SMP Kristen Swasta IX BNKP Telukdalam tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Tujuan penelitian sebagai: 1) mendeskripsikan tingkat harga diri siswa kelas IX sebelum diberikan layanan konseling kelompok di SMP Swasta Kristen BNKP Telukdalam. 2) mendeskripsikan tingkat harga diri siswa kelas IX setelah dilakukan konseling kelompok di SMP Swasta Kristen BNKP Telukdalam. 3) untuk menguji efektivitas layanan konseling kelompok dalam meningkatkan harga diri siswa kelas IX SMP Kristen BNKP Telukdalam. Jenis penelitian bagi digunakan sebagai pre-test sebagai one group pre-test post-test design. Populasi penelitian sebagai siswa Kelas IX SMP Kristen Swasta BNKP Telukdalam bagi berjumlah 153 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 30 siswa bagi memiliki harga diri rendah. Hasil penelitian: 1) menunjukkan bahwa harga diri siswa sebelum diperkenalkannya layanan konseling kelompok berada di kategori rendah yaitu sebesar 67,27, 2) tingkat harga diri siswa setelah diperkenalkannya layanan bimbingan kelompok melayani sebagai 100,70. kelas menengah, 3) selanjutnya hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan Ha diterima dengan H0 ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa layanan konseling kelompok efektif meningkatkan harga diri siswa kelas IX Swasta Kristen Telukdalam BNKP Telukdalam . Sekolah untuk tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Saran: 1) Siswa dapat menjaga dengan lebih meningkatkan harga dirinya ke arah bagi lebih baik dengan mengikuti layanan konseling bagi lebih serius bagi dipimpin oleh konselor dengan tutor sekolah, sehingga siswa dapat mencegah permasalahan bagi ada. 2) guru bimbingan dengan konseling hendaknya menggunakan layanan konseling kelompok sebagai cara bagi baik untuk membantu siswa meningkatkan harga diri mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan analisis strategi guru dalam meningkatkan kosakata di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Teluk Dalam. Pengajaran kosakata bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris siswa dan juga harus dilengkapi dengan strategi yang cocok untuk siswa. Para guru menggunakan strategi untuk meningkatkan dan memperkaya kosakata siswa serta memperlancar proses belajar mengajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi yang digunakan oleh guru Bahasa Inggris dalam mengajar kosakata dan penerapan strategi tersebut dalam interaksi kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat lima strategi yang digunkan oleh guru Bahasa Inggris selama interaksi kelas, yaitu (1) kata-kata untuk setiap hari, (2) pendapat ekslusif, (3) redefenisi kontekstual, (4) prediksi, definisi, dan koneksi, (5) “apa arti nama?”. Implementasi strategi yang digunakan oleh guru Bahasa Inggris kepada siswa (1) memperkenalkan kata-kata lisan dan tulisan seperti berdoa, salam, permisi, dan sebagainya, (2) memilih kata-kata yang berkaitan dengan materi, tidak berkaitan dengan materi dan ambigu, (3) mendefinisikan kalimat dengan menggunakan kamus kemudian mendefinisikan ulang dengan memodifikasi kalimat, (4) memprediksikan definisi kata atau kalimat berdasarkan hubungannya dengan konteks, (5) mencari kosakata baik kata atau kalimat dan maknanya yang dibuat dalam sebuah tabel atau mind mapping, dan menggunakan kamus secara rutin. Strategi-startegi tersebut relevan untuk mengajarkan kosakata kepada siswa karena guru dapat mengabungkan lebih dari satu strategi dalam satu pertemuan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa startegi tersebut dapat membantu meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa, lebih memperkaya dan meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggrisnya. Oleh karena itu, disarankan kepada guru Bahasa Inggris untuk menerapkan strategi-strategi tersebut dalam proses belajar mengajar.

Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing students’ ability in using conjunction in writing narrative text at the eleventh grade of SMK Negeri 1 Teluk Dalam. The kind of this research is qualitative research with descriptive approach. Researcher used Miles, Huberman, & Saldana theory to analyze the students’ ability in using conjunction in writing narrative text. The result of this research showed the students had the ability in using conjuction within a naraive text. It showed by the students’ worksheet that each conjuctions were used by students was exactly. It means that, they could be able to connects the elements are contained within a text well. The conjuction that students more used were coordinating conjuction and subordinating conjuction. However, they still have difficulties in using conjuction within a narrative text especially in using correlation conjunction. Those students’ difficulties caused by the students’ comprehension of narrative text materials, especially in using conjuction. So the students could not comprehend it and regarded that it is difficult. It is suggested that students should pay attention about the students’ ability in using conjunction in order to create a good text as well as a speech. For the teachers, hopefully this research could be used as their consideration to teach conjuction to students. For the next researcher, could be the information and knowledge to create a narrative text.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the obstacles to students' mathematical problem solving abilities at SMP Negeri 2 Telukdalam. This type of research approach is descriptive research. The methods used in collecting data in this research were tests and interviews. The conclusion from the research that has been carried out can be concluded that students in the high and medium ability categories in mathematics problem solving material have the ability to understand problems well. All indicators are met, namely: (1) understanding the problem, (2) developing a strategy or resolution plan (3) resolving the problem according to the plan that has been made and checking the answers again. Meanwhile, students in the low ability category in the mathematical problem solving system material have low mathematical problem solving abilities. Only 1 indicator is fulfilled, namely the indicator of solving the problem according to the plan that has been made and checking the answers again. And the other two indicators were not met because students did not understand the questions before the work was carried out.

Abstract

Based on the background of the problem, student activity seems to be lacking in the learning process, especially student activity in asking questions to the teacher regarding the material discussed, students do not understand the material presented. This research aims to determine the factors that cause learning difficulties for students in class VIII of Bintang Harapan Ulususua Private Middle School on the subject of the human digestive system. This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. This research data was analyzed using data reduction, verification and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are that what causes students' learning difficulties is 1) students' lack of attention to the subject matter (concentration), concentration is meant to focus all attention on the learning situation and lack of concentration can cause learning difficulties. 2) lack of student participation and response when participating in teaching and learning activities (reaction). Reactions in learning activities require the involvement of physical and mental elements, as a form of reaction, so learning must be active. 3) students are slow in understanding the material (comprehension) and this results in low student learning outcomes. Suggestions: As the key to successful learning and not experiencing learning difficulties, students must increase motivation, concentration, reactions, understanding of the material and maximum learning outcomes. Students also have to choose what activities are more useful to do at home. It is hoped that teachers will further optimize the potential of students who experience learning difficulties or not by increasing media or learning that involves interesting activities.

Abstract

The background to the problem in this research is that there are still students' language impoliteness in the learning process, such as criticizing directly using harsh words, deliberately accusing the partner, deliberately cornering the speech partner and so on. This research aims to describe students' language politeness related to the maxim of wisdom, maxim of generosity, maxim of respect, maxim of consensus, maxim of sympathy and maxim of humility in class XI IPA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Amandraya for the 2023/2024 academic year. descriptive approach. This research data was analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, verification and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the cause of impoliteness in this study is a violation of the maxim of generosity/humility maxim, namely the language of students can reprimand with diction that is less than subtle, defend against wrong actions, highlight oneself mockingly, and speak inappropriately to the situation while derivatives of the maxim Respect is an honest but gentle reprimand, honest praise, rejection with apologies, orders with a questioning tone, rejection with a questioning tone and providing sincere support, while the maxim of wisdom is a maxim that requires participants in a conversation to increase other people's benefits or reduce other people's losses. Suggestions for future researchers, the results of this research can be used as material for further research on the principles of politeness in Indonesian.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the unavailability of powerpoint learning media, which resulted in students being less motivates to study the subject of the human.. This research aims to determine the effect of using PowerPoint learning media to increase students' interest in learning in class X Biology at SMA Negeri 1 Hilimegai. The type of research is quantitative, descriptive in nature. The research population was class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Hilimegai while the research sample was class This research data was analyzed using normality tests and hypothesis testing using the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) application. The results of this research are that the sig.(2-tailed) value is 0.015 < 0.05, it is known that t count is 2.597 < t table 2.65183, it is known that the value of sig. > t table 2.25183 for the experimental class using PowerPoint learning media, it can be concluded that the data is normally distributed so that students have an interest in participating in learning activities through PowerPoint learning media. Suggestion: for teachers, it is best to use PowerPoint learning media with different variations, for future researchers it is best to carry out this research with a wider scope.

Abstract

This research was carried out because there were no people who used tofu dregs as food for catfish, so the people in Soroma'asi village cultivated catfish for their own family needs and not to sell in the market. This research aims to determine the effect of using tofu dregs as food for catfish in Soroma'asi Village, Onohazumba District. This type of research is quantitative with a pure experimental method (True Experiment), with a completely randomized design (RAL). The population of this study was 20 catfish and the research sample was catfish with five treatments and four replications. The treatments applied were P0 (bran giving), P1 (25 grams), P2 (50 grams), P3 (75 grams), and P4 (100 grams). This research data was analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test using the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) application. The results of this research are known to be Fcount 3.442 and asymp 0.035. When compared with 0.035 then Fcount 3.442 > Ftable 2.87. Furthermore, the asymp value is 0.035 < 0.05. This means that the use of tofu dregs as food for catfish in Soroma'asi Village, Onohazumba District has an effect on the growth of catfish, so that Ha is accepted (there is an influence of using tofu dregs as food for catfish in Soroma'asi Village, Onohazumba District) and H0 is rejected. It is hoped that this research can provide information to the public, especially fish farmers, to make more use of tofu dregs as food for catfish.

Abstract

This research aimed to developing students’ ability in speaking by using discovery learning method. This research design by using classroom action research (CAR). This research was carried out in the ninth grade of SMP Negeri 1 Luahagundre Maniamolo which consisted of 22 students’ test. The data were analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative analysis to describe the students ability in speaking by using discovery learning method. . It showed that before conducting the research, the percentage of the students who can achieved the MCC was only 62% the students problem there are having the students have less motivation to have speaking ability because of their assumptions that English is a difficult in constructing sentences, the students have bad accent or pronounciation in speaking, the students have lack of vocabulary in constructing a sentences, the method in teaching speaking was less suitable to the students when having speaking topic, the researcher concludes that most of the students’ problem are in the technique of teaching. In collecting data the researcher using observation and test.Then after conducting the result, It can be seen from the students’ result in two cycles of research, where in the cycle I was 36%, passed or 64% were failed. while in the cycle II it was 84%, passed whereas 16% were failed. The total score gained in this cycle was 1.850 with the average score was 84. Thus, it can be stated that the students problem in speaking is solved by using discovery learning method. Discovery Learning Method is a way of achieving learning goals which emphasizes the students to learn by autodidact and to discovery the discussed material. For the Students, English teacher in general suggested should be highly motivated to know a lot of vocabulary and use them in practicing their speaking, and to use discovery learning method to develop the students ability in speaking

Abstract

Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah bahwa penggunaan media dari barang bekas ini masih belum adanya pemanfaatan yang digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar sehingga proses belajar mengajar hanya terfokus pada buku paket dan kurang menarik perhatian siswa, dikarenakan masih kurangnya pengetahuan guru dalam memanfaatkan barang bekas yang dijadikan sebagai media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan barang bekas pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia yang valid, praktis, dan efektif.. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan model pengembangan four-D dengan metode penelitian pengembangan (Researvh and Development). Dimana hasil validasi yang dilakukan oleh validator dengan nilai rata-rata 3,5 dan nilai presentase 92,0% kategori sangat valid, respon guru terhadap media yang digunakan dengan nilai rata-rata 4 kategori sangat praktis, hasil uji praktikalitas oleh siswa dengan nilai-rata-rata 3,5 katergori sangat praktis, hasil pengamatan motivasi siswa dengan nilai rata-rata 3,5 kategori sangat tinggi dan ranah kognitif sebelum menggunakan media dari barang bekas dengan nilai rata-rata 66,6/lulus sedangkan ranah kognitif menggunakan media dari barang bekas dengan nilai rata-rata 87,4/lulus. Maka melalui hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan barang bekas, praktis dan efektif, untuk menunjang hasil belajar siswa. Saran peneliti yaitu hendaknya guru mata pelajaran biologi dapat menggunakan media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan barang bekas ini sebagai bahan ajar dalam proses belajar mengajar serta melalui bahan ajar ini semoga siswa dapat memperluas wawasannya mengenai pembelajaran biologi kemudian, bagi peneliti selanjutnya agar penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan referensi dalam penelitian yang relevan.
