Abstract

The rationale behind this research is that instructors have a significant impact on molding the nation's character and fostering the potential of children. Students' potential is cultivated in accordance with their unique qualities and abilities, with the aim of fostering their personal growth and maximizing their developmental progress. Students in teacher education are required to possess proficiency in designing and executing impactful instruction to enhance students' capabilities, enabling them to become self-reliant and adaptable individuals. In order to cultivate pupils who are both intelligent and adaptable, it is essential to foster the entire development of their potential. This can be accomplished through effective instruction, which involves delivering comprehensible and engaging lessons that enable students to successfully comprehend and grasp the offered content. designated proficiencies. Effective collaboration between teachers and students is essential for a successful learning experience. This research employs a qualitative and descriptive research methodology. The data sources utilized in this research included the school principal as the primary respondent, as well as teachers and four kids who served as informants. Specifically, this study relied on responses from the school administrator, a teacher, and four students who served as informants. First, there was observation; second, there were interviews; and third, there was a documentation study to gather the data. There are three separate phases to data analysis: (1) data reduction, which entails making the data as simple and concise as possible; (2) data presentation, which entails making the data visually appealing; and (3) conclusion drawing, which entails making final conclusions and insights based on the analysed data. Abstract

The problem in this research lies in visual imagery because it discusses too much visual imagery, resulting in a lack of other imagery variants. This research was motivated by the researcher's curiosity about the imagery in Wiwid Winarsih's poetry collection "Lilin". The aim of this research is to describe the types of imagery contained in the poetry collection "Lilin" by Wiwid Winarsih. The type of research used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data collection technique used by researchers is documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. In this research, the data validity checking technique used was time triangulation. The results of this research show that the imagery contained in the 12 poems in the poetry collection by Wiwid Winarsih's "Lilin" has a total of 40 quotations. Imagery found in the poetry collection "Lilin" by "Lilin" Wiwid Winarsih. among others; The most dominant imagery found in the poetry collection "Lilin" by Wiwid Winarsih is visual imagery and the second is auditory imagery, tactile imagery, while the least numerous imagery is olfactory imagery and tasting imagery. The suggestions put forward by the researcher are 1) the results of this research can be used as a reference in creating a literary work, one of which is poetry, 2) poetry readers can use this research as information material to review the elements of imagery in poetry, 3) it is recommended for future researchers , can use this research as reference material for conducting subsequent research.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah ketika siswa memulai kelas IPS, mereka tidak harus hanya bergantung pada buku teks. Sebaliknya, guru mata pelajaran dapat menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pembelajaran di kelas dengan menghadirkan berbagai ide, sehingga memungkinkan siswa memperoleh pengetahuan seperti siswa di sekolah lain yang memiliki fasilitas buku. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa baik instruktur IPS dalam merancang pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII-1. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah (1) Lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, (2) Tes Hasil Belajar, (3) Lembar Wawancara (4) Dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian bahwa guru mampu mengkontruksi pembelajaran dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan cara mempersiapkan perangkat pembelajaran berupa silabus, RPP, media peninjang pembelejaran seperti kertas manila, alat menggambar sebagai acuan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, guru menggunakan metode pembelajaran Mind Mapping dengan membentuk siswa dalam kelompok untuk menyajikan hasil segala materi yang telah diterima ketika guru menjelaskan. Tujuan penggunaan metode pembelajaran Mind Mapping ini adalah agar siswa memilki kesempatan untuk mengemukakan pendapat dan mengolah informasi yang didapat dan dapat meningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam berkomunikasi. Anggota kelompok bertanggungjawab atas keberhasilan kelompoknya serta ketuntasan bagian materi yang dipelajari dan dapat menyamapian kepada kelompoknya. Peneliti menyarankan: (1) Kepala sekolah hendaknya selalu menganjurkan kepada semua guru untuk mengajar dengan metode yang membuat siswa aktif, merasa senang, dan nyaman sehingga kejenuhan akan terhindar; (2) Guru hendaknya memberikan perhatian dan waktu yang lebih banyak melalui kegiatan tanya jawab, karena dapat menambah wawasan bagi siswa dalam memecahkan masalah kehidupan siswa sehari-hari; (3) Siswa hendaknya banyak membaca berbagai buku baik fiksi maupun non- fiksi terutama yang berkaitan dengan materi pelajaran IPS khususnya dan semua mata pelajaran yang diajarkan umumnya; (4) temuan penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan pertimbangan bagi peneliti selanjutnya.

Abstract

Konsep diri dan kepercayaan diri merupakan dua aspek penting yang saling berhubungan dan berpengaruh terhadap prestasi akademik serta perkembangan sosial siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep diri terhadap kepercayaan diri pada siswa kelas VII di MTsN 15 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei asosiatif. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket skala Likert, dan analisis data dilakukan melalui regresi linier sederhana. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa konsep diri berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa dengan kontribusi sebesar 26,4%. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan konsep diri terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa di MTsN.

Abstract

The problem in the research is that there are several errors in the use of punctuation marks in several student theses. This research approach is qualitative with a descriptive type. The results of this research show that: 1) There were 33 (thirty three) errors in using full stops. 2) There were 10 (ten) errors in using commas. 3) There were 4 (four) errors in the use of question marks. 4) There were 8 (eight) errors in using colons. The conclusions in this research are 1) The spelling errors that are most often found in student theses are full stops, commas, question marks and colons. 2) Of the four types of punctuation, the most common errors are in the use of dots. 3) The fewest punctuation errors are question marks. The suggestions in this research are 1) For educators to continue teaching the correct use of punctuation to students. 2) For students, especially those at Nias Raya University, to continue learning regarding the correct use of punctuation according to the applicable spelling. 3) To other researchers to carry out further research related to errors in the use of punctuation marks both on the same research object and on other objects.

Abstract

Guru kurang memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan, belum tersedianya e-LKPD berbasis scientific pada materi ekosistem, rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam belajar karena media pembelajaran terbatas sehingga hasil belajar siswa masih dibawah nilai KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-LKPD berbasis scientific. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D. Penelitian ini diujicobakan pada siswa kelas X IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Lolowa’u berjumlah 20 orang. Untuk menstandarisasi produk dilakukan tiga tahap uji, yaitu: uji validitas, uji praktikalitas, dan uji efektivitas. Instrument yang digunakan ialah angket penilaian menggunakan skala likert serta soal tes evaluasi untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-LKPD berbasis scientific ini sangat valid dengan persentase 90,6% dan layak digunakan. Nilai rata-rata praktikalitas yang di nilai oleh guru 3,7 dan siswa 3,5 berada pada kategori yang sangat praktis. Hasil motivasi siswa berada pada pada 92,25% dengan rata-rata nilai kognitif 90,5 dibandingkan dengan sebelum menggunakan e-LKPD dengan rata-rata 59,3 skor berada pada kategori cukup. Saran yang diajukan oleh peneliti adalah, melalui e-LKPD berbasis scientific yang dikembangkan siswa dapat memanfaatkan teknologi ke hal yang lebih positif dan guru dapat menggunakan e-LKPD berbasis scientific dalam proses pembelajaran karena dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, e-LKPD berbasis scientific ini dapat dijadikan referensi penelitian yang relevan.

Abstract

The lack of HOTS-based learning modules on the human respiratory system at SMA Negeri 1 Onolalu became the basis for this research. At SMA Negeri 1 Onolalu, the aim of this research is to create a learning module for material on the human respiratory system that is reliable, useful and efficient. This type of research uses the PLOMP (research and development) development model. Twenty class XI Science students at SMA Negeri 1 Onolalu participated in this research testing. To normalize items, three stages of testing were carried out, namely special legitimacy testing, common sense testing, and viability testing. Assessment questionnaires with Likert scales and evaluation test questions are instruments used to determine student learning outcomes. With a percentage of 90.4%, research shows that this HOTS-based learning module is useful and very valid. The students’ very practical score was 3.57, while the average teacher practicality score was 3.6. With a score of 91.3%, student learning motivation is classified as very high, and student learning outcomes are classified as adequate, with an average cognitive score of 88.65 compared to the score before using the module of 65.7. Researchers suggest that teachers can incorporate HOTS-based learning modules into the learning process because they can increase students’ interest and motivation to learn, and students can use the developed HOTS-based learning modules more positively. This HOTS-based learning module can be a useful research reference for future researchers.

Abstract

This research aims to improve learning outcomes by applying the Cooperative Talking Chips learning model to nervous system material in class XI SMA Negeri 3 Susua. This research uses quantitative research methods with a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach. These instruments are written tests and observations. The results of the research were that in the first cycle of the first meeting, the percentage of students was 60.4% and in the second meeting of the first cycle, 63% was still in the low category, this was because students were faced with new situations in conveying what they still did not understand. In the second cycle of the first meeting the percentage result was 69% and in the second meeting of the second cycle it was 77% in the very good category. The conclusion of this research is that there is an increase in student learning outcomes by using Cooperative Talking Chips because students can learn independently and learn together, students can convey arguments using their own language and are able to complete the tasks given. Suggestions for teachers to make the Cooperative Talking Chips learning model an alternative worth considering in learning. Future researchers hope that this research can become a relevant reference with a wider scope.

Abstract

This articel describes the kinds of figurative language in songs lyrics by The Figurative Languange Found in Celina Dion Album “Falling in to You” By Celina Dion. Language is one of the crucial tools for human beings. The scientific study of language is called linguistics. When we study linguistics, we delve into semantics, which includes the study of figurative language. The objective of this study is to identify the types of figurative language in the lyrics of songs from the album "Falling Into You" and to describe the figurative meaning of each type of figurative expression found in the lyrics. The researcher uses a descriptive qualitative method to analyze and classify every line of the song lyrics. The data source used by the researcher comprises ten songs from the album "Falling In to You": “Falling Into You,” “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” “Because You Loved Me,” “Make You Happy,” “Seduces Me,” “All by Myself,” “Declaration of Love,” “I Love You,” “Dreamin’ of You,” and “River Deep, Mountain High.” After analyzing and investigating every line in the song lyrics, the researcher found several instances of figurative language. There are nine types of figurative language used in the lyrics: 15 metaphors, 6 personifications, 3 apostrophes, 9 similes, 4 metonymies, 5 synecdoches, 6 understatements, 1 paradox, and 5 hyperboles. The dominant figurative language used is metaphor. The meaning of figurative language in the lyrics of "Falling In to You" goes beyond their literal meanings as found in dictionaries. Based on the data analysis, the researcher found that the songwriter uses these expressions to convey feelings, emotions, and phenomenal events, making the songs more interesting and engaging for listeners.

Abstract

Based on initial observations conducted in the 10th grade of SMA Swasta Kampus Teluk Dalam, there are still errors in word choice when students speak. The purpose of this study is to describe lexical choice errors in the Indonesian language learning process of 10th grade students at SMA Swasta Kampus Telukdalam in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data sources in this study were taken from the results of video recordings of student conversations. The subjects in this study were 10th grade students at SMA Swasta Kampus Telukdalam in the 2023/2024 academic year. The data collection technique used in this study was audio recording. The data analysis technique in this study was data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing (verification). Based on the presentation of the research findings on the analysis of lexical choice errors in the learning process of students at SMA Swasta Kampus Telukdalam in the 2023/2024 academic year, the researcher concludes that the lexical choice errors include synonyms, antonyms, and hyponyms. There were nine errors in the choice of synonyms, two errors in the choice of antonyms, and one error in hyponyms. The dominant lexical choice error in this study was synonyms. The conclusion of the researcher's findings on lexical choice errors in the Indonesian language learning process of 10th grade students at SMA Swasta Kampus Telukdalam in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research can be used as a reference or example for teachers and as a learning experience in schools, especially for the Indonesian language subject regarding lexical choice errors. It is hoped that all language users will be able to choose the right words when using language, especially in formal meetings.
