Abstract

Indonesia has entered an elderly population period with the highest prevalence of hypertension of the entire national population. Hypertension control strategies focus on improving the quality of life for each sufferer so that they can maintain their quality of health independently. Compliance with routine check-ups is a national strategy for controlling cases of hypertension in the elderly. This study aims at the relationship between adherence to routine checks and the quality of life of hypertensive elderly people in the working area of ​​the UPT Puskesmas Tanjung Redeb. From the results of this study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between adherence to routine checks and quality of life for elderly hypertensives in the working area of ​​the UPT Puskesmas Tanjung Redeb (Sig = 0.000; OR = 4.765).

Abstract

Hypertension is a deadly chronic disease that is often referred to as a silent killer. The elderly who have various conditions and degenerative diseases that may suffer, of course, all the information that is circulated and received has an influence on the status of stress and anxiety levels in the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and the incidence of hypertension in the elderly in the UPT work area. Long Laai Community Health Center, Segah District, Berau District. This research is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted in all UPT working areas. Long Laai Health Center. Measuring tool used in the form of a questionnaire and data analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results of the analysis and discussion show that there is a significant relationship between the level of anxiety and the incidence of hypertension in the elderly in the working area of ​​the UPT. Abstract

One of the follow-up actions from handling emergency cases in the hospital. Reducing the level of preoperative anxiety, patients need to be given information about the disease and the actions to be performed, providing information can be done before carrying out the surgical process. Researchers have also conducted interviews with 12 patients who will undergo surgery at RSUD dr. Abdul Rivai Kab. Berau in December 2021, it was found that the results of giving informed consent had been submitted by doctors, maybe even with the help of nurses to clarify the giving of informed consent. This study aims to determine the relationship between the perception of giving informed consent and the anxiety of preoperative patients at RSUD dr. Abdul Rivai Berau District. Shows that the results of the hypothesis test obtained a p value: 0.009, meaning that there is a relationship between patient perceptions about giving informed consent and preoperative patient anxiety.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and identify the knowledge, perception, and attitude of dental students towards online education in higher institution of learning. Online education is an electronically supported learning that relies on the internet for teacher/student interaction and the distribution of class materials. Assessment of knowledge, perception, attitudes, and readiness of 3rd year to 6th year dental students at Lyceum Northwestern university toward the challenges of online learning in dental education was done through electronic questionnaires. Ethical approval was secure from the UREB of the university. The study found that the dental students who participated had a good understanding of online coursework and were proficient in computer skills. The success of e-learning is largely dependent on technological accessibility and having a stable internet connection. However, respondents expressed reservations about the quality of the learning process compared to traditional face-to-face classroom learning. The respondents felt that a combination of both traditional teaching methods and online tutorials would be more ideal than either method alone.

Abstract

Low bone mass and damage to the microarchitecture of bone tissue are two characteristics of osteoporosis, a systemic bone disease that can raise the risk of fractures. At every stage of life, increasing physical activity positively affects bone health, whereas reducing physical activity can cause bone loss. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of a physical exercise program for osteoporosis in the elderly. The technique is a literature review that involves looking for relevant publications using keywords. The inclusion criteria for this study were that the participants in the study were elderly subjects, that the results of the study measured or analyzed the physical exercise program in elderly subjects with osteoporosis, that the study used quasi experiment methods, randomized controlled trials, and cross sectional, that the year of publication of the study was in the time period of 2013–2022, and that the research was conducted in both Indonesian and English. The review's findings indicate that there are six papers that examine physical exercise programs for the elderly, including weight-bearing exercises, balance training, resistance training, and high-intensity resistance and impact training. These exercises can all be performed and have a favorable effect on the elderly. Even if there is no evidence to support the existence of dangers such fractures in physical training programs, it is nevertheless necessary to provide assistance in order to decrease risks.

Abstract

Accreditation, which is defined as the process of quality evaluation by an independent institution based on a set of established standards, is granted to Mubarak Clinic by the Indonesia Healthcare Facility Accreditation Agency or Lembaga Akreditasi Fasilitas Kesehatan Indonesia (LAFKI). The research method used is a case study, as a form of qualitative research, not focusing on the quantity of acquired data but based on the quality of the obtained data. Mubarak Clinic has demonstrated excellence in several areas, but there is room for improvement, especially in human resource management, facility management, and patient safety procedures. By focusing efforts on areas that need improvement, Mubarak Clinic can continue to enhance the quality and safety of patient care.

Abstract

This study assesses the quality of health services at Sukamerindu Community Health Center in Bengkulu City, Indonesia, utilizing a descriptive qualitative research approach. Through observation, interviews, and documentation, the research examines five dimensions: Available & Sustainable, Reasonably Acceptable, Achievability, Easy to Reach, and Quality. While the health center effectively organizes services, achieves reasonable acceptability, and is easy to reach, challenges exist in guaranteeing service products and optimizing physical facilities. Overall, the health services at Sukamerindu Community Health Center fall short of community expectations. Addressing these gaps is essential for enhancing the health center's effectiveness and aligning services with community needs and preferences.

Abstract

BPJS Health has successfully covered millions of participants across Indonesia, bringing the hope of affordable and quality health care for the people. However, this success is not apart from the serious debate on issues of justice in the BPJS allowance system, which is the main highlight and the main challenge facing BPJS health. Justice in the BPJS has become an increasingly relevant issue amidst the high economic and social diversity in Indonesia. The country covers a wide range of communities, ranging from high-income urban residents to rural residents who may only generate minimal incomes. There are significant differences in economic capacity between the inhabitants of big cities and small cities, as well as between different provinces.

Abstract

This research pertains to developmental advancements in the health and maritime sectors, specifically focusing on diving and hyperbaric oxygen therapy's (HBO) application. The study holds the potential to enhance comprehension regarding the Effects of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) in addressing anxiety disorders, thus contributing significantly to the realms of health and maritime industries. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves subjecting patients to heightened pressure environments while administering pure oxygen at levels exceeding atmospheric pressure, with a minimum clinical threshold of 1.4 ATA. (HBO) interventions, utilized for countering hypoxia and cortisol reduction, exhibit promise in mitigating anxiety disorders. The research methodology commences with a systematic screening procedure employing an anxiety disorders questionnaire, ensuring the acquisition of a well-defined, credible, consistent, and unbiased participant pool. Employing a quasi-experimental design featuring a randomized pre-post control group arrangement, the study targets males aged 25-40 with anxiety disorders, drawn from Dr. Ramelan Surabaya's psychiatric clinic.

Abstract

Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) play an important role in this context, as part of primary health care facilities. Community health centers must be able to provide quality basic health services and maintain the quality of these services. One strategy that can be used by Community Health Centers to achieve this goal is through the accreditation process. The aim of Puskesmas accreditation is to foster and improve the quality of service and safety for patients and the community on an ongoing basis. Accreditation is not just about getting a certificate, but more about a commitment to continuously improve the quality of health services provided to the community. The accreditation survey at the Pelambuan Community Health Center is an important effort to improve the quality of health services. This process involves surveyors conducting document checks and field searches to ensure that management, programs and clinical services comply with accreditation standards.
