Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the strategies of human resource management (HR) and intellectual property rights (IPR) protection implemented by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the creative wood sector, especially Griya Kayu. Data was collected through observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. Research shows that hands-on training and productivity-based incentive systems are still used informally to manage human resources. Although the practice is effective, this method does not guarantee progress in the long run. Since more than 97% of the workforce in Indonesia is employed by MSMEs, which account for more than 60% of the national GDP as well as high costs and information limitations, most MSME manufacturers have not registered their product brands and designs. They rely more on publications, which do not have sufficient legal force, as proof that they are genuine. Due to information and cost limitations, IPR protection has not been a priority. Recommendations include training in human resource management and the government should facilitate IPR registration. The research not only identifies strategies and challenges faced by MSMEs, but also makes practical suggestions for the sustainable development of key barriers such as capital limitations, lack of legal understanding, and access to information. However, with the support of the government and strategic partners such as NGOs and educational institutions, there are opportunities. Some of the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have succeeded in managing their businesses, including in the field of wooden handicraft accessories, drums, bags, and handicrafts sold around the Bungkarno Cemetery in Blitar City.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the underlying elements that shape the earnings of coastal fishers in Mangkoso Village, located within Soppeng Riaja Subdistrict, Barru Regency. The study adopts a quantitative methodology, with information gathered through structured surveys and archival records. Both firsthand observations and existing materials served as the data foundation, while the instrument applied was a Likert-type scale. The processing and interpretation of the data were facilitated using the SPSS statistical program. The outcomes indicate that financial capital exerts a downward yet non-substantial effect on fishers’ earnings. On the other hand, commodity prices and environmental shifts demonstrate a positive and meaningful contribution to income levels. Consequently, strategies focusing on market conditions and ecological variability are essential to maintain the financial resilience of fishing communities in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of Village Funds in improving community welfare in Panyangkalang Village, Laikang District, Takalar Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The management of Village Funds was examined based on the stages outlined in Regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 145 of 2023, which include planning, implementation, administration, and reporting. Community welfare was measured using indicators from Herbert A. Simon, namely knowledge, participation, program benefits, and transparency and accountability. The findings show that the planning and implementation processes involved community participation, although not yet evenly distributed. Village Fund programs have provided tangible benefits to some residents, but transparency of information and equitable distribution of benefits still need improvement. Strengthening the capacity of village officials and expanding community involvement are key to enhancing the effectiveness of Village Fund management.

The purpose of this study was to identify attribute predictors that affect employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediator. This type of quantitative research uses survey data as its source. The number of data samples is 228 harvest workers of Oil Palm Plantations. Data analysis was carried out using SEM-AMOS. The results of the study showed that employee performance was positively influenced by work discipline, compensation, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. In addition, job satisfaction as a mediator variable as a whole has been proven to be able to see indirect effects on exogenous variables in this study. Research facts prove that job satisfaction is important as a mediator that influences stimuli in the form of predictors of work discipline, compensation, and organizational commitment to the formation of responses in the form of employee performance.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of product availability, packaging, and service quality on purchasing decisions, with consumer satisfaction as a moderating variable. The research was conducted at Zasgo Mart, Labuan Bajo. A quantitative method was employed, using a questionnaire completed by 150 Zasgo Mart consumers. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that, collectively, the three independent variables significantly affect consumer satisfaction. Among these, service quality is identified as a key factor that management must prioritize. Furthermore, consumer satisfaction strengthens the relationship between packaging and service quality with purchasing decisions, but does not moderate the relationship between product availability and purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of operational management practices on operational efficiency in Khanza Snack, a micro business categorized as a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) located in Koto Tangah District, Padang City. The research adopts a descriptive quantitative approach using a case study method, with a single MSME owner serving as the primary respondent. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using a Likert scale, covering ten operational management variables and one operational efficiency variable. The analysis results indicate that most aspects of operational management fall within the “fairly good” category, with average scores ranging from 3.1 to 3.8. Planning and technology received the highest scores, while distribution and operational finance scored the lowest. These findings suggest that the business has applied basic operational management principles effectively, although improvements are needed, particularly in distribution systems and financial documentation. The study recommends strengthening operational documentation, improving digital literacy, and providing human resource training as strategies to enhance sustainable operational efficiency.

Abstract

This research investigates how liquidity and inventory turnover affect the growth of profits for companies in the food and beverage industry that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2019 and 2023. The study employs a quantitative method and applies multiple linear regression to assess the relationship between the independent variables—liquidity (proxied by the current ratio) and inventory turnover—and the dependent variable, namely profit growth. The analysis reveals that liquidity, when examined individually, does not exert a significant impact on profit growth. Conversely, inventory turnover demonstrates a positive and statistically significant relationship. When analyzed jointly, both liquidity and inventory turnover are found to have a significant effect on profit growth, although they collectively account for only 11% of the variation. These results underscore the critical role of operational efficiency, particularly in managing inventory, as a driver of improved financial performance. The outcomes of this research are meant to offer useful information for business practitioners, investors, and scholars involved in strategic planning within the food and beverage industry.
