Abstract

This study aims to describe and interpret the implementation of the character of patriotism in traditional Javanese Indonesian art. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach with interviews, observations, field notes, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research unit is the principal, musical teacher, and students. Data validity test is done using triangulation of sources and techniques. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that (1) Javanese tradi-tional culture at SD N Grogol reflected the nationalism character which was implemented in musical extracurricular activities. (2)Careful planning and implementation of musical activities rou-tinely carried out every week forms the character of the nationalism in students, namely the atti-tude of respect and preserve the nation's culture. (3) Karawitan culture can provide role models that contain the value of the nationalism character and can be applied by students in life. This study concluded that the Javanese traditional culture at SDN Grogol reflected the nationalism character that is implemented in musical extracurricular activities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of public awareness of the environment. Many people found throwing garbage in the river, using plastic, illegal logging, and others. Given these conditions, the educational task of forming the character of caring for the environment from an early age. The objectives of the study are (1) To describe the environmental care character of the adiwiyata program for grade IV-A students at Tenggilis Mejoyo I Elementary School, Surabaya. (2) Identifying factors that support and hinder the formation of environmental care characters. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data sought in this study are class IV-A students and factors that support and inhibit. Data collection techniques through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Subjects studied were class IV-A as many as 29 students. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study there are 2 students who have the character in the criteria already entrenched, 3 students including the criteria began to develop. The character of caring for the environment through the adiwiyata school program for grade IV-A students by 89% of the category is already entrenched. Supporting factors are bringing food containers, tumblr bottles, clean Friday, hydroponics, 3R, and others. Inhibiting factors are lack of awareness of some students and lack of habituation at home.

Abstract

Creative thinking is an ability that can be used to develop their potential to face the challenges of the 21st century. Elementary school students must have creative and innovative ideas related to knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the method of picture and picture on the ability to think creatively. The population is the fifth grade students of SD Hang Tuah 10 Juanda. Through a simple random sampling technique, students selected class V-A as the control class and class V-F as the experimental class. This research is a quantitative study with a Quasi Experimental Design-Posttest Only Control Group research design. The data collection method uses a test. The test data of creative thinking skills were analyzed by means of different mean tests. The results showed that there was an influence of the picture and picture method on students' creative thinking abilities

Abstract

Abstinence education for young students has not been widely applied in Indonesia. Other countries conducted various implementation, all of them agreed the importance of reproduction health, sexuality, and population studies for the community, notably adolescent. The study aims to compare the application of abstinence education in some countries through literature review. As many as 31 articles regarding abstinence and abstinence education reviewed as well as core competences and basic competences in Curricullum-2013 for elementary education. Some of the articles claimed that abstinence-only education had nothing to do with the decrease of teenage/premarital pregnancy. Others proved that abstinence education with specific materials/topics relevant with culture and values have some effect on knowledge and responsible behaviour. However, parents and teachers still had many challenges and barriers in delivering the topics and using the media. Policy implementation urged and needed now are identification of education materials, the use of media, and development of teacher’s guide book.

Abstract

The study consisted of two variables, namely the parent's companion variable as independent variable (X) and the emotional intelligence variable as dependent variable (Y). This study aims to determine the description and describes the influence of parental mentoring on online learning to the emotional intelligence of elementary school students during the Covid 19 pandemic. This study uses a type of quantitative survey research methodology. The Data is obtained by using questionnaire that is distributed to respondents were 58 students and parents of class V at SDI Al-Azhar 7 Kota Sukabumi. The validity test is carried out using the Product Moment formula and the Realibility test using the Alpha Cronbarch Approach. The distribution of these questionnaires are conducted online through Google forms. Data analysis techniques use a correlation coefesien and a simple linier regression formula with the help of SPSS of the first hypothesis test () or = 0.637 with the significance of 0.000 compared to α = 5% then the 0.000 of < 0.05 then rejected accepted. And a regression equation on the influence of parental accompaniment to emotional intelligence i.e. Y = 68,854 + 0.681 X. So this indicates that each addition of one value accompaniment of parents will add value to emotional intelligence hence the variable parental mentoring of the variable emotional intelligence has influence. Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of digital platforms in the online-based learning process during the covid-19 pandemic in elementary schools. This research uses descriptive qualitative method carried out with a qualitative approach. The object of this study was elementary school teachers in SDN Tanjungsari. Data source technique is using purposive sampling technique. When the research was conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. Data collection techniques used are through in-depth interviews conducted directly by telephone. Technical analysis of data using descriptive technical analysis. The results showed that the dominant digital platform used in the asynchronous or indirect online learning process at SDN Tanjungsari was the whatsapp social media platform by utilizing the existing features. Besides whatsapp, the zoom cloud meetings platform is also used in the online learning process in a direct or synchronous. Overall the teaching and learning process online through whatsapp and zoom cloud meetings can be implemented well.

Abstract

This research is an R and D research. The product developed was a ludo math game learning media using the Borg and Gall research design adapted by Sugiyono but the design used is only seven steps as follows: 1) Potential and problem step 2) Data collection step 3) Product design step 4) Design validation step 5) Design revision step 6) Product trial step 7) Product revision step. The purpose of this research is to describe the feasibility of ludo math game media, Student responses to the media ludo math game and the effectiveness of the ludo math game media on students numeracy skills. It can be concluded with this research that the ludo math game media as a result of the development is feasible to use because the results of the assessment of the developed media are an average value of 47.25 for the aspect of quality of content, an average value of 38.75 for the instructional quality aspect, an average value of 88.00 for aspects of technical quality with very good criteria. Based on the results of student r responses to the media ludo math game average value of 97,86 for the aspect of quality of content, an average value of 98,78 for the instructional quality aspect, an average value of 99,17 for aspects of technical quality with very agree criteria. There is an increase in the value of pretest to posttest using the gain score of 0.83 which is included in the high criteria.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe how the process of social interaction to improve students’ confidence in learning process. The subject of this study are first grade students and the object is teacher at SDN 19 Tangerang. The object of this study is social interaction process to improve students' confidence. This study use descriptive qualitative as the method. The data collection is gathered through interview, observation and documentation. This study is use analysis technique, such as data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawer. The result of this study is that the social interaction of first grade students at SDN 19 Tangerang is already good. This condition leads to the improvement of students’ confidence in learning process, as the result they actively participate in learning process. Keyword : social interaction, confidence, learning process.

Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to determine the identification of students’ critical thinking skills in science learning at SDN Gugus 1 Duren Sawit District. This study used a quantitative descriptive research method using survey method. The research population was SDN Gugus 1 Duren Sawit District and the sample was SDN Duren Sawit 02, 10 and 14 Pagi. The sampling technique was cluster random sampling. The data was collected by using critical thinking skills tests, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the average of critical thinking skills in SDN Gugus 1 students Duren Sawit District was 35,14 in the moderate category. The average score of critical thinking in SDN Duren Sawit 02 Pagi was 39,74 in the moderate category, SDN Duren Sawit 10 Pagi was 34,91 in the low category, and SDN Duren Sawit 14 Pagi was 30,78 in the low category. The highest furthemore indicator of critical thinking in SDN Gugus 1 Duren Sawit District, namely SDN Duren Sawit 02 Pagi the average score was 39, 74 in the moderate category, SDN Duren Sawit 10 Pagi got an average score of 34,91 with the low category and SDN Duren Sawit 14 Pagi have an average value of 30,78 in the low category, while the results of the study on the average of each indicator show that the highest indicator in SDN Gugus 1 Duren Sawit District on the indicator provides further explanation with an average score 38 and the lowest indicator in SDN Gugus 1 Duren Sawit District on indicators og managing strategies and tactics with an average score of 31.

Abstract

To develop students’ creativity, Muhammadiyah elementary school of Bantul City hold some extracurricular activities such as robotic, painting, and Batra machine shop. The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation of the development of creativity through extracurricular activities of robotic, painting and Batra machine shop in Muhammadiyah elementary school of Bantul City. The design of this research was Qualitative with a case study approach. The subject of this study included the school principal, extracurricular coordinator, and the students. Data collection was through interview and documentation. Data validity used triangulation of sources and methods. The data analysis technique used an interactive model of Milles and Huberman. The result of the research showed that extracurricular activities that had been held helped to develop students’ talent according to their potential, develop students’ creativity, and increase self-confidence. The material taught was adjusted to students’ ability. The learning conducted was designed to increase students’ interest, students’ spirit, and ease the student to understand the material delivered. The evaluation was conducted periodically through the evaluation process and evaluation of learning outcomes. The implementation of the program is supported by the school’s facilities and infrastructure, suitable activities management, students’ spirit, motivation from the parents, and a competent coach.
