Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationships between character strength, quality of life, and psychological well-being among students in an Islamic Boarding School. A total of 130 teenage students aged 13-18 years participated in the research. The study utilized a correlational research design, and data were collected using validated scales for character strength, quality of life, and psychological well-being. The inferential statistical analysis, specifically Pearson correlation analysis, was employed to explore the relationships between the variables. The results indicated significant positive correlations between character strength and quality of life, character strength and psychological well-being, and quality of life and psychological well-being. The findings of this study align with previous research, highlighting the importance of character strengths in influencing an individual's quality of life and psychological well-being. Character strengths play a crucial role in enhancing positive emotions, meaningful relationships, and personal achievements, ultimately contributing to a higher quality of life. Moreover, individuals with higher character strengths demonstrate improved psychological well-being, including adaptability and flexibility in various life situations. These results hold significant implications for educational settings, particularly in Islamic Boarding Schools, where fostering character strengths can be beneficial in promoting students' well-being and positive development.

Abstract

Balancing conservation and museum development is one of the biggest challenges in managing historic spaces. In 2012, the Stovia Jakarta Building became a museum of the history of medicine and the struggle of Indonesian youth. Based on storyline analysis, this paper explores the implementation of historical storylines for the collection of relics at the Stovia medical school building in Jakarta describes the development of medical science in the past regarding the history of the struggle of Indonesian youth and tourism, and heritage management. This observation is then examined in the plot of the story, the description of the socio-political situation, and the changes in the Dutch East Indies during the transitional period of the 19-20th centuries which gave birth to a revival and a national movement. This paper explores whether historical storylines are part of spatial development and reflect new understandings of spatial planning. Storyline processing supports conservation reconciliation and regenerates the development of interior spaces. The analysis shows that while some of the storyline principles have been well implemented, they have not been supported by information technology for the benefit of tourism development, and the needs of visitors

Abstract

Guests who come to Hotel Chanti are expected to have first impression which is good, but the location, parking, location of the lobby makes a bad impression on guests. In addition, the projection to render first experience guest become repeater guest not running optimally. The research objective is to describe the implementation service excellence on first experience guest and describe how to seducefirst experience guest become a guest repeater. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive type. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The research results consist of the first two things, implementation service excellence on first experience guest including serving with a positive and humble attitude, identifying guest needs, providing for guest needs, providing suggestions and appropriate solutions. Second, how to lure first experience guest become repeater guest including quality service, prioritizing guest wishes, providing the best experience, providing attractive promos, establishing good relations with guests, and providing rewards.

Abstract

This practice-based research has produced visual art, particularly drawings based on significant animal folktale observations. Folktales symbolize human behavior and culture. Malays use folktales to educate, advise, and satirize. The study covers Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka's (2015) traditional literary script, Sang Kancil Membilang Buaya. Chang (2008) autoethnography guided artwork development. Visual artists preserved folktales by adding aesthetic appeal and fresh knowledge to Sang Kancil tales. The transmission mechanism provided value by showing visual art with digital presentations without changing the story. This research analyses textual and visual data on Sang Kancil Membilang Buaya through artworks to increase cultural knowledge and awareness of oral tradition and participation among society, in accordance with UNESCO's goals to preserve the intangible heritage.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Hesed Indonesia which aims to analyze and explain the influence of work motivation and incentives on increasing production which is experiencing unfavorable conditions including slow service to guests at The salaries or wages at PT Hesed Indonesia are not paid properly. Most of the security guards on duty are not very polite, sometimes they shout or scold, and the working hours system has delayed hours, that is, they work overtime without pay. Research data obtained through questionnaires and interviews. The sample used in this study was 93 respondents. The results of the research are expected to provide useful information for the management and guest satisfaction. The data obtained were processed using descriptive analysis and quantitative statistical analysis. Quantitative analysis uses multiple regression analysis to determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable, model testing, hypothesis testing, and before carrying out these tests, validity and reliability tests are carried out first. The results of the regression analysis show that there is an increase in work motivation and incentives for increased production. This shows that to increase the production produced by employees, it is necessary to increase high work motivation and incentives that are in accordance with employee expectations.

Abstract

This research analyses the driving factor for the development of Vtuber livestreaming entertainment in Japanese society, that happen during the last COVID 19 pandemic. Vtuber is a live streaming entertainment where a streamer use 2D avatar that they fill their voice in so that the character are the one doing the livestream. The purpose of this study is to find out what is the factor that led to the rapid Growth of Vtuber in the world of live streaming entertainment in japan. This reseach uses Qualitative reseach thematic method analytical approach with open discussion data on Quora.Jp by selecting discussion topics that related to Vtuber in it. The conclusion of this research is can develop in Livestreaming entertainment due to the help of several factor, such as Vtuber relationship with Fans, Vtuber, Agency, and How they present their Vtuber character

Abstract

This research explores the process of adolescent problem resolution in Japan, specifically examining how drifting is employed as a means of conflict resolution among individuals within the context of the anime series titled "Initial D." The primary objective of this study is to gain insights into the process of problem resolution among adolescents through the utilization of drifting techniques. Adopting a qualitative research design with a thematic analysis approach, the researcher analyzes data extracted from episodes 1 to 5 of the anime "Initial D." The data collection entails transcribing dialogues that depict adolescents engaging in drifting races in Akina, competing against the tofu delivery driver, Takumi, a young man honing his skills to become the fastest racer in Akina, Japan. The findings from the investigation indicate that drifting emerges as a viable option for individual problem-solving among adolescents. This research also sheds light on the process of problem resolution adopted by both parties when seeking to resolve their conflicts through drifting. In conclusion, drifting serves as a medium for adolescent problem resolution in "Initial D," driven by the aspiration to surpass the fastest racer in Akina.Top of Form

Abstract

The digital age requires lecturers to be able to package learning activities using digital technology. The aim of this study is to find out how lecturers lead their students in learning activities in the digital age and the impact of the digital era on learning and lecturers. This research is qualitative and descriptive, with observational data collection techniques and interviews. The result of this research is the expansion of the digital age, making students and faculty learn unlimitedly in space and time. Teachers need to prepare a learning plan related to the material and digital media that will be used. The use of digital media such as Google Forms, Google Class, and PowerPoint, various learning applications, bloggers, quizzes, Google Meet video conferences, and Zoom meetings has been used by lecturers. The negative impact is that (1) the learning material has become wider so that the essential material is not obtained; (2) the learning is less focused; (3) the lecturer is not always able to control each student's use of the gadget; and (4) the enthusiasm and ability of the senior lecturer still need to be improved. In conclusion, lecturers, as student leaders in learning, are expected to be able to effectively package the developments of the digital age to facilitate the implementation of learning.to effectively package the developments of the digital age to facilitate the implementation of learning.

Abstract

In the current context, businesses must effectively utilize their resources, including the implementation of strategies aimed at influencing consumer buying choices, particularly for Axioo brand laptops. This research aims to explore consumers' perceptions of their decision-making process when considering the purchase of an Axioo brand laptop and identify strategies to enhance the purchase decision-making process for this brand. The research employs a descriptive qualitative methodology.The findings of this study reveal that consumers' purchasing decisions regarding Axioo laptops are influenced by factors such as performance, specifications, pricing, and ease of use. Additionally, the availability of various color options and the compact design of Axioo laptops contribute to their appeal. To enhance the purchase decisions for Axioo brand laptops, effective strategies are needed to capture consumers' interest. These strategies may include promotional campaigns, incentive offerings, and the utilization of social media as a powerful promotional tool, all of which can significantly impact and bolster purchase decisions.

Abstract

This article examined how self-presentation was presented by cashless users through OVO e-wallet for student in PGRI Palembang. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used by author were observation in PGRI University, interview with user OVO and did documentation when student used OVO. The author found the background of PGRI student was using OVO including policies regarding cashless, personal choices and social environment. This article used self-presentation theory by Erving Goffman to analyze PGRI student self-concepts in using OVO. As the results, this study has been shown that student display slang self-concepts such as student was hanging out in cafes and malls, contemporary self-concepts such as student was paying for all types of entertainment using OVO payment applications and socialite self- concepts such as student was buying clothes and accessories to support their appearance in front of his friends. It reflects that student adopt urban and hedonistic lifestyles when using OVO so that the assessment of their peers considers that students who are just hanging out for chasing discounts, current students are actually consumptive and socialite student are only for social climbing in class.
