Abstract

Economic globalization has increasingly shaped the field of intellectual property rights (IPR), transforming copyright protection from a domestic matter into a strategic tool of global trade. Through international instruments such as the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPs) and the Berne Convention of 1886, universal copyright standards are enforced across jurisdictions. Yet this harmonization generates tension between international obligations and national legal sovereignty. This article employs a juridical-normative method with doctrinal, case study, and comparative approaches to examine these dynamics. The case of Auld Lang Syne illustrates how public domain works evolve into shared cultural heritage, while the dispute of Ahmad Dhani v. Once Mekel reveals persistent enforcement challenges in Indonesia. Comparative analysis of the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, and Indonesia demonstrates divergences in copyright duration, derivative work protection, and exceptions such as parody. The article argues that Indonesia must ground its response to globalization of IPR in Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, thereby ensuring that national copyright law is not merely a passive rule taker within the global system but an active framework that safeguards cultural identity and national interests.

Abstract

Internalization of moral values is a control mechanism for balancing consumer behavior. This study aims to analyze how moral values can be internalized in the consumer behavior of the millennial generation, particularly in the online shopping phenomenon. The development of sophisticated technology, the availability of online ordering for all needs, and the ease of transactions have given rise to new consumption patterns that often lead to excessive consumer behavior. Moral values, which include honesty, simplicity, responsibility, and local wisdom, can serve as a moral control mechanism in addressing consumer culture. This study used a qualitative approach with literature review and observation of millennial online shopping behavior. The results show that internalization of moral values can foster wise consumption behavior, prioritizing needs over wants, and maintaining a balance between material satisfaction and spiritual values. The implications of this research are the importance of culturally based values education and digital literacy in efforts to shape a healthy consumer generation of millennials.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of digital application-based parenting management to optimize educational interactions between parents and early childhood children in Ngaliyan area, Semarang City. The digital era demands transformation of parenting patterns that are more adaptive and integrated with technology. This qualitative research involved 20 active PAUD schools as samples, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that digital parenting applications can improve the quality of parent-child educational interactions by 73%, facilitate child development monitoring, and create learning continuity between home and school. The main challenges include low parental digital literacy (42%), limited internet access (28%), and resistance to changes in traditional parenting patterns (35%). The most effective applications integrate real-time communication features, child development tracking, educational content libraries, and expert consultations. This research recommends developing digital literacy programs for parents, providing adequate technology infrastructure, and continuous training to optimize the use of technology in parenting. Implementation of digital parenting management has proven to support the achievement of sustainable education goals that are responsive to the needs of digital native generations.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of human resource management (HRM) practices in implementing ISO 9001 quality management systems within food and beverage companies. Using a qualitative case study methodology with triangulation techniques, the research examined PT Pringsewu Cemerlang's ISO 9001 implementation through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis involving 32 informants across management, supervisory, and operational levels. The findings reveal that strategic HRM practices significantly enhance ISO 9001 implementation effectiveness, with overall service quality improving by 24.2%. Employee competency development emerged as the primary mediating mechanism, demonstrating 96.4% training completion rates and 76.8% job performance transfer effectiveness. Training and development (4.2/5.0) and communication systems (4.1/5.0) proved most impactful in facilitating quality improvements across reliability (35.5% improvement), responsiveness (21.2%), and comfort/assurance (17.1%) dimensions. The study identifies three critical integration mechanisms: (1) standardization of work procedures and customer service protocols, (2) systematic competency development aligned with ISO 9001 requirements, and (3) enhanced communication systems supporting organizational change. However, persistent challenges include employee resistance (32.4%) and cross-branch consistency issues (22.1%), highlighting the importance of cultural transformation in quality management success. Theoretical contributions extend the resource-based view of strategic HRM by demonstrating how human capital resources generate competitive advantage through quality management integration. Practical implications provide actionable frameworks for food and beverage companies seeking to leverage HRM practices for sustainable quality improvements. The research challenges previous skepticism regarding ISO 9001's tangible benefits by showing how effective human resource management unlocks operational improvement potential in industry contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance, with job satisfaction and organizational commitment serving as mediating variables, at PT Purifikasi Andalan. The research focuses on employees working in the company’s sector, where performance optimization remains a challenge despite the application of a transformational leadership style. Transformational leadership, characterized by inspiring vision, individualized consideration, intellectual stimulation, and motivational influence, is expected to drive higher performance levels by shaping employees’ attitudes and behaviors. The study aims to analyze both the direct effect of transformational leadership on employee performance and the indirect effect through the mediation of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Job satisfaction reflects employees’ emotional response to their work, while organizational commitment indicates their loyalty and willingness to contribute to organizational goals. Both factors are hypothesized to strengthen the positive relationship between leadership and performance outcomes. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique with a Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to a purposively selected sample of respondents from the company’s workforce. The purposive sampling method ensured that participants had relevant experience and knowledge to provide informed responses. The findings reveal that transformational leadership exerts a positive and statistically significant influence on employee performance. Furthermore, transformational leadership has a significant positive impact on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, both of which, in turn, enhance employee performance. These mediating variables play a critical role in explaining how leadership style translates into improved work outcomes. The results suggest that fostering a transformational leadership approach, alongside initiatives to boost job satisfaction and organizational commitment, can be an effective strategy for improving overall employee performance in the organization’s specific operational context.

Abstract

The hospitality industry faces significant challenges in maintaining consistent service quality amidst increasingly intense global competition. Employee Self-efficacy, or confidence in one’s own abilities, is a crucial factor influencing service performance; however, an in-depth understanding of its mechanisms within a multicultural context remains limited. This study aims to explore the Self-efficacy experiences of employees in international hotels in Malaysia and examine how these experiences impact their service performance. The findings reveal that employee Self-efficacy manifests in three key dimensions: confidence in technical abilities, adaptability, and interpersonal skills. The development of Self-efficacy occurs through four stages: acclimatization to workplace culture, experiential learning, internalization of organizational values, and the cultivation of specific expertise. Key supporting factors include comprehensive training systems, social support, fair reward systems, career development opportunities, team cultural diversity, and autonomy in decision-making. Self-efficacy plays a central role in determining the quality of hotel employee performance through complex mechanisms influenced by the multicultural workplace context. These findings provide theoretical contributions to the development of Self-efficacy theory within multicultural organizations and practical implications for human resource management in the hospitality industry.

Abstract

The State Administrative Court (PTUN) was established as a legal protection instrument in Indonesia's rule of law to correct administrative actions of officials that harm citizens. However, in practice, the PTUN has not been fully able to fulfill its ideal function as a bastion of justice. This study examines the gap between das sollen and das sein in the performance of the PTUN, particularly regarding the implementation of decisions that have become final. Legal uncertainty arises from the continued granting of judicial review (PK) authority to TUN officials who lose their cases, weak execution mechanisms, and the absence of a supervisory body for the implementation of decisions. Furthermore, the legal culture of officials that does not respect the finality of decisions also contributes to sociological obstacles. This study uses normative and sociological approaches to identify regulatory, institutional, and legal culture constraints, while also formulating necessary reform measures. Through empirical case analysis, such as the Jayapura Administrative Court decision No. 6/G/LH/2023/PTUN.JPR regarding the customary land dispute of the Awyu tribe, the study formulated several urgent reform measures. With these steps, the Administrative Court can function more effectively as a tangible form of administrative legal protection, while strengthening the legitimacy of the judiciary and public confidence in the rule of law in Indonesia.
