Abstract

The objective of the research are find out whether or not the use of Probing-Pompting Technique improves te students reading comprehension and student interest at the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 4 Pancarijang. His research employed pre-experimental method with on group pre-test and post-test design. The population was Theeighth grade student of SMP Negeri 4 Pancarijang in academic 2014-2015. Total number of population was 66 student consist of 3 classes and one class (VIII.2) was taken as sample by using cluster sampling techniquetotal of sample 20 students’. The research instrument are reading test an questionnaire. The result this research showed that the pre-test got the mean score (56.00) while the post-test goat mean score (69.00). This showed that there was significant difference between pretest and posttest. The result of the t-test value (5.378) was higher than t-table (2.093). This mean that H1was accepted. The researcher concluded that teaching reading comprehension by using probing-prompting increased the students’ ability in reading comprehension of SMP Negeri 4 Pancarijangand the mean score of the questionnaire was 84.75 categorized as a strongly interested. The researcher concluded that teaching reading comprehension by using probing-prompting improve the students’ ability in reading comprehension at the eighth grade SMP negei 4 Pancarijang.

Abstract

The objective of the research was the find out whether or not of animal videos increases vocabulary mastery in PGRI Bulucenrana kindergarten students. This study uses an experimental design. The population of this research is one group, group B in TK PGRI Bulucenrana. In the academic year 2018/2019 with a total population of 12 students. The sample of this study was 12 students. The sample of this study was 12 students or a total sample. This study used media animals video in class. Researchers found that the use of animal videos can increase vocabulary mastery in Bulucenrana PGRI kindergarten students. The average value of the initial test (21,08) is lower than the average value of the final test (77,50), it is also evidenced by the P-Value (0,000 < 0,05) a significant level of 0,05. So the researchers concluded that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Based on data analysis, the researcher concludes that: animals video media is effective in increasing vocabulary mastery in Bulucenrana PGRI kindergarten students

Abstract

The objective of the research were to find out whether or not the use of Visual Imagery Strategy can enhance the students’ reading comprehension at the Eighthof MTs Pondok Pesantren Al-Urwatul Wutsqa Benteng.This research employed a quantitative method that applied one class. The population of this research was the eighth grade students in academic year 2019-2020. There were 253 students spread in eighth classes (VIII.A, VIII.B,VIII.C, VIII.D, VIII.E, VIII.F, VIII.G, and VIII.H) and each class consist appropriately 27-37 students. The researcher took simple random and chose VIII.C as the representative and the number of total sample is 23 students.The data of the research were collected by using one kinds of instruments, namely reading comprehension test. Reading test was used to obtain data of the students’ reading comprehension ability in Reading Comprehension by using visual Imagery strategy.The result of data analysis showed that there was significant difference between the students’ score after they were taught by using Visual Imagery Strategy and before they were taught by Visual Imagery Strategy. It was proved by the mean score of the post-test which was higher than the mean score of pre-test (62.04>53.86). Furthermore, the result of the p-value (0.004) was lower than level of significant (α = 0.05); which means that H1 was accepted. Based on data analysis, the research concluded that: the use of Visual Imagery Strategy effective in improves students’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was determined whether the use of random word games could improved the ability of SMP N 2 Pancarijang students in vocabulary and whether students are interested in the method of this game. This study uses a mixed research method that was a quantitative research. The population of this study was seventh grade students of SMP N 2 Pancarijang in the 2018-2019 academic year. The total population was 87 students consisting of 4 classes. Class VII3 was taken as a sample using cluster sampling techniques, the total number of samples was 21. The instruments used in this study were vocabulary tests.The results of this study indicate that the pre-test got an average score (29,28) while the post-test got an average score (52,85). This shows that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. The p-value (0,00) is lower than the significant level (alpha (α) = 0,05). This means H1 was accepted. This study concluded that vocabulary teaching using the random word game improved students' ability to master vocabulary mastery in seventh grade students of SMP N 2 Pancarijang.

Abstract

Reading aloud is frequently taught to junior high school students as a way of improving their English, particularly in the 7th grade. These factors make it imperative to perform research on creating an android-based reader digital application since technology could lead to engaging and effective teaching and learning methods. The study's objectives are to learn more about the process of creating an android-based reader digital application as a tool for teaching reading aloud to 7th grade students at SMPN 2 Sidrap and to determine whether such an application is practical. Research and Development (R&D) process by Borg and Gall, which included 10 steps, was utilized to develop the product. And because there is a limited amount of time and the product can only be developed in seven processes, it has been condensed to seven. the questionnaire-based observation. a method for gathering information from numerous validator expertise. Student survey data are used to determine effectiveness. The survey's findings reveal that the materials expert's overall score was 93.8% and that media experts' display layout and design received a score of 90%. 85% of the information from a poll of 30 students was collected. The outcome demonstrates that both teachers and students are in favor of using applications to aid in the acquisition of English. The pupils exhibit an interest in using the software as a virtual teacher assistant and feel more driven to study English using it.

Abstract

English learners not only need to be aware of the present and future but also need to be aware of the difficulties and problems they encounter in the process of learning English. Especially in the use of parts of speech, called pronouns. The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze the errors made by students in the form of markers, to serve as a reference for the mastery of pronouns in which the teaching and learning methods necessary to achieve The expected target in the document will be added to the grammar itself. This study was conducted in 2015 in the UMTS teaching and education department of 38 students. Data can be obtained from grammar placement tests and student interviews. Even if students are at an intermediate level of English, participating in grammar lessons is necessary. The research findings suggest that there is a place in language, especially in discussions of personal pronouns, that is certainly worth highlighting. Students' errors and comments about their problems are very useful signs or important diagnoses. The use of data is that as long as the information has a direct connection to the student, the professor can build a plan that allows the student to expand their knowledge and can help them become more confident in professional communication.
