Abstract

This paper aims to review the development of ESP Syllabus design theory and material adaptation based on the need’s analysis of the students. Besides, it explores and presents the references on the relationship between ESP syllabus design and material adaptation. ESP syllabus design deals with the kinds and importance of a syllabus. The materials in it discuss authenticity, material evaluation, and material writing. Need analysis covers the meaning, type, practice, and register of an analysis.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to improve the students’ writing skills through inquiry-based learning strategy of the first-year students of UMS Rappang. It employs collaborative classroom action research. The researcher and the collaborator teacher work together in designing the lesson plan, implementation, and reflection. Each cycle of the study comprises four meetings: three meetings for the treatment, one meeting for the writing test. The data were collected through observation checklists, writing tests, portfolios, field-notes, and the students’ writing performance. Inquiry-based learning takes five major steps. First, students answer the questions given by the teachers about a particular topic. Second, students observe the given pictures, objects, and reading texts, and share their ideas about the observation. Third, students take notes of the observation. Fourth, students discuss the results of the observation and do peer editing. Fifth, the students re-read their writing for content and clarity of meaning and produce the final version to be submitted to the teacher. During the process, the students are grouped heterogeneously, regardless of their achievement, so they can interact and help each other. The teacher controls and guides the learning activities.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the kinds of error morphology in English speeches of American President and knowed the persentage of morphological errors in English Speeches of American President. As for the kinds of error morphology in English speeches of American President, the kinds are free morpheme, bound morpheme, affixes (prefix, suffix, and compound). This research design used is qualitative research. Qualitative research among others are descriptive, the data collected more in the form of words or pictures rather than numbers, The researcher chose qualitative case study research in descriptive qualitative because the data of this study described seeing the actual reality in the form of spoken language, and analyzed and interpreted with the objective to then described in the form of words and language. Qualitative descriptive method is a method that researchers can use to analyze by doing fact-finding with the right interpretation. Qualitative research is closely associated with the context. The result of this research showed that are in English Speeches of American President still found error morphology even thought they are narrative speakers. They made afix, prefix, suffix errors. Besides that, some of the president also made errors in free morpheme, bound morpheme, and compound.The researcher was founded 16 errors totally. In the case it consist of 18,75% errors in free morpheme 56,25% errors in bound morpheme, 25% in affixes there are 12,50% error in prefix, 6,25% errors in suffix , and 6,25% error in compound. Meanwhile, the dominant error in English Speeches of American President is bound morpheme which reaches 56,25 % from 16 or 100%.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan usaha aneka olahan pisang merupakan sebuah upaya dalam rangka meningkatkan nilai jual produk lokal yang akan berdampak secara langsung kepada pendapatan masyarakat. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut pelatihan ini menggunakan metode pelatihan dan pendampingan pengembangan usaha. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah masyarakat menjadi sadar akan potensi ekonomi yang ada di lingkungan sekitarnya. Masyarakat memiliki keahlian dalam pengolahan pisang menjadi aneka jenis makanan, dan secara perlahan namun pasti pendapatan masyarakat desa menjadi terus meningkat yang awalnya mereka hanya mengandalkan pendapatan dari hasil pertanian kini mendapatkan tambahan dari hasil keterampilan.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memberikan pemaparan kepada masyarakat cara memelihara, mencegah, dan mengatasi penyakit pada ikan koi. Ikan koi merupakan ikan yang berasal dari jepang dan china yang diyakini olah masyarakat jepang sebagai simbol cinta dan persahabatan yang abadi.Warna dari ikan koi yang beraneka ragam, membuat peminat ikan koi semakin meningkat.Omset ikan koi semakin meningkat, disamping membawa simbol yang baik ikan koi juga sering dibandrol dengan harga yang cukup tinggi tergantung corak,dan ukuran ikan.Kenali berbagai jenis ikan untuk membercantik dan menambah koleksi ikan koi.Namun dalam pemeliharaan ikan koi juga sering ditemukan hambatan seperti adanya penyakit yang memungkinkan ikan akan mati secara tiba-tiba.adapun langkah yang harus dilakukan untuk mengatasi hal tersebut yaitu; memilih tempat, makanan, dan obat yang cocok dan tepat. Lakukan perawatan yang maksimal untuk hewan peliharaan. Kata kunci; koi fish, symbol, obstacles, size, colors, and pets.

Abstract

Untuk memutar perekonomian negara perlu dilakukan pemberdayaan masyarakat tani, sehingga petani mampu mandiri menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapinya. Salah satu usaha pemerintah bersama petani dalam rangka membangun kemandiriannya adalah dengan membentuk kelompok-kelompok tani di pedesaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk megetahui peran kelompok tani yang paling dirasakan oleh anggota kelompok tani, mengetahui peranan kelompok tani terhadap peningkatan produktivitas usahatani padi sawah anggota kelompok tani, dan untuk mengetahui faktor internal dan eksternal yang dapat meningkatkan produktivitas usahatani padi sawah anggota kelompok tani. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif, uji korelasi Kendall Tau-b menggunakan alat bantu SPSS 16, dan tabulasi silang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peran kelompok tani yang yang paling dirasakan oleh anggota kelompok tani adalah wadah belajar bagi anggotanya guna meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap serta tumbuh dan berkembangnya kemandirian dalam berusaha tani dan perannya sebagai kelas/ wahana belajar dan wahana kerjasama. Peran kelompok tani terhadap produktivitas usahatani padi sawah memiliki arah hubungan yang positif dan signifikan. Faktor internal yang dapat meningkatkan produktivitas usahatani anggota kelompok tani padi sawah adalah umur, status berusahatani, pengalaman berusahatan, intensitas kegiatanuntuk penyuluhan, dan luas lahan. Faktor eskternal yang dapat meningkatkan produktivitas usahatani anggota kelompok adalah iklim usaha dan sarana usaha.

Abstract

This article aims to describe whether there is a relationship between students 'self-confidence and students' speaking abilities. This study uses cluster sampling methods and oral tests. The population in this study were VII grade students of SMPN 9 Pinrang. The total population is 104 students. The sample used was class VIIL.1 totaling 28 students. The method used in speech evaluation is an oral test. The results of research using Pearson Product Moment obtained r count value of 0.700 and with the product value of r products when products with N = 28 found 0.478 at 1% significance level and found 0.374 at a significant level of 5%. To find out the level of product moment correlation the coefficient of 0.61-0.80 = substantial. This can be seen in the results of the analysis, namely: 0.700> 0.478 (5%) and 0.700 0.374 (1%) with db: 28. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion of this research is that there is a significant relationship between students 'self-confidence and the eight-year students' speaking ability in SMPN 9 Pinrang.

Abstract

This quasi-experimental study involves the experimental and control group which consist of 60 students in first year of SMA Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang 2019/2020 academic year. The reading test is used to collect data to find out do the students can achieve significant result in reading test using Text-based Character. Based on the result the mean score of the experimental group pre-test was 72.67 and classified into good classification, while the control group was 69.63 classified into good. The mean score of the post-test after treatment for the experimental group was 82.43 (very good) while the control group was 76.53, (good) classification still. The researcher found that the T-table is higher than the t-test (α) (1.659<2.021). It means that there is a significant difference in the pre-test of the control and experimental group, while in post-test of an experimental and control group, the researcher finds that the T-test is higher than the alpha and previous score in the the pre-test (α) (3.089>2.021). The degree of freedom is 58. This study reveals that the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. This is means that the use of Text-based Characters can improves students' reading skills in significant way.

Abstract

The objective of this article are to describe: 1) The Effectiveness of Intensive daily conversation toward Student Speaking Skills at the Second Semester Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang. 2) Students’ interested in using Intensive Daily Conversation to improve the speaking skill at the Second Semester Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang. This article is besed on research result employed quantitavive method with used clusster sampling. The population of this research is the second semester; exactly the second semester of Muhammadiyah University of Sidenreng Rappang. The total number of population is 114 students. The samples in this research is from 2A1 consist 37 students. So the total sample of the research is 24 students. The data of the research were collected by using two kinds of instrument, namely speaking test and questionnaire. Speaking test is used to obtain data of the students’ speaking ability and questionnaire is used know the students interest in speaking English through Intensive Daily Conversation. The result of data analysis showed that three is significant difference between the students’ score after they were taught by Intensive Daily Conversation and before they were taught by using Intensive Daily Conversation. It is proved by the mean score of the post-test which is higher than the mean score of pre-test (69.5>32.29). Furthermore, the result of the t-test value (0.0005) is greater than t-table (α = 0.05; df = 11; t-table 1.701) which means that H1 is accepted.

Abstract

This research aims to find out Causing Gentlemanly Behaviour in In Junior High School At Pondok Pesantren Al-Urwatul Wutsqaa Benteng. Type of this research is a case study. This research was carried out from April to August 2020. The Subject of this research were students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Al-Urwatul Wutsqaa Benteng, consist of 20 students. The sample from schools which at eight grade students. Methode of collection data was questionnaire and interview. Data analysis techniques were Sequential-parts of the study by Starovoytova and Namango with help of the program google form. The result show that: the researcher finds two factors that Causing Gentlemanly Behaviour in In Junior High School At Pondok Pesantren Al-Urwatul Wutsqaa Benteng. They are external factors and internal factors.The first category is a external factors. Out of 4 factors listed being Causing Gentlemanly Behaviour in In Junior High School At Pondok Pesantren Al-Urwatul Wutsqaa Benteng, they are The influence of ICT, Modernization of the culture, Lack of habituation manners at home, and Teacher factors. The second category is an internal factors. In this category, out of 8 factors listed being the reason that affects the students causing the loss of gentlemanly behavior in the school environment. They are the position of the social higher than the teacher, economic position is better than the teacher, students are more familiar with the material being taught, the descendants or tribe, gender, personality, talent, and love problem.
