Abstract

This research purpose to describe the effect of cooperative learning model type TPS and the beginning ability toward the prose research ability university student program study education of language and Indonesian literature STKIP YPM Bangko. This research using quasy experiment with factorial 2x2 design. The population is all of five semester student with class A as control class class B as experiment class. Data analysis technique used Anava one way and Anava two way, the calculation helping with SPSS 16 program and Microsoft Office Excel program. Based on the data analysis, the results are, ( 1) there is a different of the prose research ability between using cooperative learning model type TPS and conventional model (Farithmetic > Ftable = 22,443 > 4,00), (2) there is a different of the prose research ability between using cooperative learning model type TPS and conventional model for student with high beginning ability (Farithmetic > Ftable = 12,964 > 4,18), (3) there is a different of the prose research ability between using cooperative learning model type TPS and conventional model for student with low beginning ability (Farithmetic > Ftable = 33,577 > 4,21), (4) there is not a interaction between learning model and beginning ability toward the prose research ability. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the prose research ability student using cooperative learning model type TPS is higher than the student using conventional model, there is not a interaction between learning model and beginning ability toward the prose research ability.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the aim of knowing the form of difficulty and the factors that cause students' difficulties in solving 3D questions in terms of the level of understanding of class XII students of MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan. The subjects in this study were 31 students of class XII IPA. The data in this study were obtained from written tests and interviews. The results showed that students with a high level of understanding had no difficulty in solving problems. All indicators of understanding have been achieved and are called low level difficulty type. Students with a moderate level of understanding have difficulty on the third and fifth indicators, including the type of moderate level of difficulty. The results of the interview showed that students had difficulty in solving problems because they were not careful in the steps of the process, it was difficult to relate various concepts and imagine. Students with low levels of understanding have difficulty on all indicators except for the second indicator and this is included in the type of high level of difficulty.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the types and causes of errors made by students in solving story problems of geometric rows and series material based on Newman's procedure. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive type, the research subject consists of 3 students from 40 students of class XI MIPA 1 SMAN 5 Padang, with the criteria of 1 student each from high, medium, and low groups. Data collection was done by test and interview. Error analysis using Newman's criteria. The results showed that the percentage of students' errors in solving story problems related to the material of geometric rows and series based on Newman's procedure were: (a) the percentage of comprehension errors made by students amounted to 34.63%, (b) the percentage of transformation errors amounted to 16.28%, (c) the percentage of process skill errors amounted to 14.91%, and (d) the percentage of errors in writing the final answer (Encoding Error) amounted to 34.18%. The causes of student errors include, rushing to understand the problem, not writing the known and questionable things in the problem, not focusing on working on the problem, not being careful in carrying out the calculation process, not being accustomed to writing conclusions, and rushing the solution process. Abstract

The teaching materials developed should be used independently and easily accessible by learners. The module becomes one form of the teaching material that can be developed because it has five main characteristics that become the strong of self-instructional (facilitating self-instructional (facilitating self-instructional (facilitating self-instructional), self mastery (loading whole materials), stand-alone (independent), adaptive, and use friendly (easy to use). It is research and developmen/r&d. The research model developed by the researcher model 4p, development goes on to define, decomposition, development and dissemination of product. The design worthiness of the module can be seen from the validation given by the design expert. The instrument used to collect data is a validation sheet. The results of data collection are analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The design worthiness of the module is demonstrated through the validator of the design experts, where at stage 1 validation get a 64% percentage with sufficient criteria. Based on input and phase 1 assessments, they are revised on the module and continue validation at phase 2. As for the percentage at stage 2, it's 92% with very good criteria.

Abstract

This study intends to ascertain the impact of learning facilities on student learning satisfaction, the impact of learning environments on student learning satisfaction, and the interaction between teacher professional competency and learning environments. Utilizing a quantitative methodology, this investigation. 114 students in class XII Accounting and Finance made up the study's population, and 80 of those students made up the sample utilizing the proportionate stratified random sampling method. The findings demonstrated that learning facilities and teacher professional competence both had a positive and significant impact on student learning satisfaction, with learning facilities having a positive and significant influence level of 48% and teacher professional competence having a positive and significant influence level of 49%. Having a 60.6% influence on student learning

Abstract

This research was based on facts that the students’ vocabulary mastery in low level.. This was due to the fact that teaching vocabulary is not only about having a lot of vocabulary but students must also understand the form and meaning of the word. In addition, semantic mapping is not applied in English textbook to teaching vocabulary at Senior high school. The goal of this research was to improve students’ vocabulary mastery. To achieve this goal, this research offered the use of semantic mapping in understanding word forms and word meanings so that students can improve their vocabulary mastery. Through analysis of the data, the researcher found that vocabulary can be taught using word formation and meaning of the word. There are several ways to explain word formation namely etymology, coinage, borrowing, compounding, blending, clipping, backformation, conversion, acronym, and derivation. In addition, semantic mapping used in understanding meaning of the word through antonym, synonym, meronym, taxonomy,monosemy, homonym, and polysemy. It is concluded that semantic mapping can be used in explain the word and its meaning. In addition, Semantic mapping is not only uses tree diagrams in explaining words but can also use various forms such as star diagram, spider diagram, fishbone diagram, cycle diagram and vocabulary graphic organizer.

Abstract

Abstrak; madrasah nizhamiyah merupakan perguruan Islam modern yang pertama di dunia, madrasah nizhamiyah mengajarkan pendidikan yang lebih khusus dengan spesifikasi bidang teologi dan hukum Islam. Lembaga pendidikan ini adalah salah satu cikal bakal lembaga pendidikan Islam modern baik dari segi kurikulum, metode pengajaran, sarana dan prasaran, adminsitrasi dan pembiayaan. Kurikulumnya berpusat pada Alquran, sastra Arab, sejarah Rasul, dan berhitung. Sistem pengajarannya menitik beratkan pada mazhab Syafi’i dan paham Asy’ariyah. Meski demikian, pada kurikulum yang digunakan terdapat perimbangan yang proporsional antara disiplin ilmu keagamaan (tafsir, hadis, fikih, kalam, dan lainnya) dan disiplin ilmu aqliyah (filsafat, logika, matematika, kedokteran, dan lainnya). Subject Curriculum difokuskan pada materi pelajaran yang diberikan berdiri sendiri, tidak berhubungan dengan pelajaran yang lain. Dalam subject curriculum, mata pelajaran diajarkan secara mandiri, dikembangkan berdasarkan keluasan pelajaran tersebut terhadap ilmu pengetahuannya. Bentuk kurikulum ini biasanya terdapat pada pelajaran utama, seperti al-Qur'an,Tafsir, Fiqh dan lain-alin. Kemudian pelajaran non-agama seperti Fisika, Biologi, Ilmu Berhitung, Kedokteran dsb, Subject Curriculum dikembangkan pada masa awal berdirinya madrasah dan pertumbuhan pendidikan Islam klasik.

Abstract

Abstrak: Gűlen Movement adalah gerakan sosial kemanusiaan yang dipelopori oleh Fethullah Gülen. Gerakan ini telah memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi timbulnya kesadaran bersama umat manuisa di 140 negara di dunia untuk sama-sama pengakui pentingnya menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai dasar kemanusiaan yang terdiri atas cinta kasih (love), tolrenasi (tolerance), rasa perikemanusiaan (humanity), kebersamaan dan ketulusan (integrity, kebutuhan pada pendidikan (education), bimbingan dan asuhan (bringing up the young), kemerdekaan dan kebebasan (freedom), demokrasi (democracy), kesenian (art), dan pelestarian lingkungan dan konservasi alam (environment and nature). Dalam gerakan ini pendidikan menjadi misi yang sangat urgen untuk menumbuhkembangkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan tersebut. Sementara di Indonesia pendidikan karakter yang dewasa ini menjadi fokus pembahasan, dalam substansinya substansinya misi dari gerakan ini. Demikian pula Panca Jiwa Pesantren (The Five Souls of Pesantren) yakni; Kejujuran (Sincerity). Kesederhanaan, (Simplicity), moralitas yang tingi (Hight Morality), keluasaan pengetahuan (Wide Knowlwdge), dan latihan pengalaman (Experience), memiliki spirit moral yang sama dengan model pendidikan Gűlen Movement. Dengan mendiskripsikan sejarah singkat Gűlen Movement serta nilai-nilai yang diusungnya, tulisan ini mencoba mencari kunci keberhasilan model pendidikan Gűlen Movement serta korelasinya dengan karakter pendidikan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstrak:pembinaan akhlak merupakan upaya untuk menanamkan perilaku yang positif sesuai ajaran islam agar siswa menjadi pribadi yang bertaqwa kepada Tuhan yang Maha Esa dan berakhlak mulia sesuai dengan tujuan Pendidikan Nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pembinaan akhlak siswa di MIN 1 Curup. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif menurut milles dan Huberman yang meliputi tiga tahapan analisis data, yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan, hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa, pembinaan akhlak di MIN 1 Curup melalui beberapa metode yaitu, metode pembiasaan, nasihat, keteladanan, tanya jawab, dan hukuman atau punishment.

Abstract

Keberadaan pendidikan sangat penting dan tidak bisa dipisahkan dari keseluruhan proses kehidupan manusia. Kebutuhan manusia terhadap pendidikan bersifat mutlak baik dalam kehidupan pribadi, keluarga maupun masyarakat dan bangsa terutama dalam proses penyampaian kebudayaan dari satu generasi kepada generasi berikutnya. Berbagai persoalan pendidikan saat ini belum dapat diatasi secara tuntas, antara lain: masalah rendahnya mutu lulusan, sarana pembelajaran yang sangat terbatas, kurikulum dan pembelajaran yang kurang berbasis masyarakat, kepemimpinan dan manajemen yang kurang berfokus pada mutu serta kurang akuntabel. Fenomena ini masih banyak dijumpai di sekolah-sekolah dan madrasah meskipun desentralisasi pendidikan sudah dilaksanakan begitu pula persoalan masih rendahnya sarana dan prasarana pendidikan. Hal itu disebabkan antara lain oleh kurangnya kepedulian terhadap sarana dan prasarana yang dimiliki serta tidak adanya pengelolaan yang memadai. Gambaran bahwa di era globalisasi setiap perencanaan atau pengadaan pasti ditetapkan melalui sistem pengambilan keputusan. Program-program sekolah, baik yang jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang sudah seharusnya ditetapkan melalui keputusan dan dilaksanakan oleh sekolah dan dikoordinir oleh kepala sekolah sehingga pencapaian tujuan dapat dijamin keberhasilannya. Hal yang menarik dari aspek manajemen adalah proses pengambilan keputusan yang pada akhirnya menghasilkan program kerja. Program ini yang berpengaruh pada peningkatan mutu sekolah.
